- sarah08000 mum dad is a calling reverse charge service like 0800 reverse, people ring it to reverse the charges to you when they ring you if they dont have enough credit or something. never having used this service before, i dont know that much about it ,but im sure you can cancel requests from the texts, like send STOP to the number and they shouldnt send anymore. easiest thing is to call your service provider and tell them whats going on and they should block the number from texting/calling you again .
- TDiidyI was being ripped off on a daily basis. Just replied with STOP ALL. Also I lodged complaint to authorities as recommended in this discussion
- anniestupid text bout flirting never been on anything that cost me 1.50 and i dint need the text. idiots!!!!!
- R TurgyanHow do these people get to charge for services that I have not 'subscribed' to. I get a Sh*t joke and get charged £1.50 for it. I was worried that if I replied or phoned it would be a premium rate number. I text stop and then tried their customer services (which is 08712230000) for those that want to have a go at them and that is charged at 10p apparently. I wont let this go until I have every penny back that has been charged to my account

- MarkLooking at my statement 80160 has been ripping me off for months!!! Will try to STOP ALL and see what happens
- LorraineOnly alerted to the problem after money ran out on Pay as you go after a couple of weeks. Had been receiving crap texts "Word of the Day" & "Amazing Facts" at the rate of three or four a week for a couple of months, have no idea how they got my number. Phone T-Mobile - massively helpful guy blocked all 3rd party texts & gave me the phone numbers 0871 223000 & 0845 355 3445. Am now going to inform all authority possible - Trading Standards, Watchdog etc etc.
- Ellen PooleI have been sent 2 of thease texts, saying your word of the day is...
they take £1.50 of me every time and I now only have 5p left on my phone, so I'm not able to text STOP ALL. This is so annoying.I went into o2 shop today and they suggest i get a new sim.- Caller: matrigistics

- PaulThis company is working as a legit site it is the 08000MumDad.co.uk
Its supposed to be used when you're in an emergency situation but now the kids have sussed it out, they are using it to have friends call free at their parents and relatives expense.
The 1st call makes it sound like its urgent, especially by saying its Mum Dad,thats the only words my daughter heard, she thought there was something wrong as her Dad was in hospital. She accepted the call not knowing it was from her daughters friend, she hung up immediatly but it was to late. She'd accepted it!! After that my grandaughter was loaning her phone and continued accepting calls from it.My daughter being none the wiser, put money on her PAYG mobile and it took ALL her credit. She got one text after another from the company.
I'm fuming that they can get away with this. The kids can talk for a full 6 mins, then just call again.
Texting "Stop" to these people will not stop you getting charged. As long as you have someone that is accepting the call (it even connects when you dont have credit)then they will take the money from you.£3/4 connection fee and up to £2.50 per minute!!!
If you go onto their website you should be able to bar them from even attempting to call you in the first place.
Hope this helps.- Caller: 80112
