ive had the same with tex saying my accounthas been topped up with 200 sms wich can be used on line via www.smsunltd.com. these people have been takeing money out of me for ages never asked 4 this crap.every time i top up my phone they take my money

mumdad has done its job for me.. we rly have to be careful on this.. iv never been ripped off by them. i only get calls from my daughter

well indeed your are right mitch... mumdad do have a voice name recording before they transfer their calls it's for the safety of the person you are calling

Today I had an incoming call from a private number. I accepted, thinking it might be important. A recorded message read out:
"this is 0800mumdad, you have a waiting call. it will cost you £1.50 to receive this call."
I immediately hung up, but they later text me TWICE saying:
"1st+2nd min at 150p p/min reciept 4 an accepted 08.000MumDad reverse charge call 08000-686-323 info 08000mumdad.co.uk 08000-151-455 not subscripion service."

£3 has gone from my credit, which i assume is from the two texts. I am furious at this. I am wondering whether to contact o2?
What can stop these outrageous messages? I am unsure about texting "STOP" in case I am bombarded with yet more texts/calls/fees.

Started getting text yesturday saying that i had got 600 free text to use anytime,any network,any countrythen i got another one stating that i had just got 600 more text free,i thought that i would just have them added to my phone.id got another message earlyer in the month but didnt have any credit on at the time so i thought it was ok and they couldnt do owt about it then but they said that i was subscibed 247-sms.co.uk so if anyone get that message dont reply back coz its just going to take ur credit even if it says TEXT STOP....ITS JUST A SCAM

Please help this company keeps sending me castings, auditions and other perfomance auditions, they keeep stealing my airtime and I dont know how to get this off my phone.

i had a text come to my mobile that read-thankyou for using text-city.com.coverage to hundreds of networks worldwide... and it charged me £1.50  i have never heard of them before this and have certanly never had anything off them.

Ive been getting these texs from 80160 and they have been taking 200 a week from me for sending texs all over the globe ,which i have never done, its unbelievable how these people can get away with this .Charging you money for something you are not using.Ive tried everything to stop it ,ive rang this number 08709740463 which was giin to me ,and it doesnt work ,ive texed stop all and that doesnt work .The only thing  i can do is change my sim .Iwas also getting texs from a flirty site and pics of women naked ,im happerly married thanks ,they,re filthy and that was costing me 150 a week too ,and i was gharged to say stop and it didnt work.Iwould top my phone up 10 and 350 would be taken from my credit,its just not on . I WANT ALL OF IT TO STOP NOW.

Can anyone help ,ive been trying to stop these people taking money off me every week 2 pounds for nothing at all ,They are called smsunltd, Ive been to the o2 offices ,they cant do anything and ive rang lots of numbers that ive been given ,and nothing seems to work . txt STOP to the shortcode 80160 and this should end the messages, if they continue then they are in breach of the PhonepayPlus code by not processing the stops.

Also if you think you have been getting charged out of the blue and you are sure you did not sign up to the service then this also is a case for PhonepayPlus.

You need to make an official complaint and request a full investigation into this scam!

i got a text from 80160 today and wanted to pick your brains as to what i should do?
this is the message

FreeMsg:Youve won!Txt WON to 80160 to see what you have won.pvd by Texts4Gifts.Over 16.Stop?txt stop to 80160.Chance to win every week Subscribe for £1.50/week

now it starts with FreeMsg, so i assume that i have not been charged for this message, however, do you think i should text STOP ALL to 80160 to make sure they don't start sending me texts at £1.50 a go?
i cant help thinking in an email type of way, when saying unsubscribe just confirms that the address is active and more spam gets sent.

If you send STOP ALL to the shortcode then this will cancel ALL services that are linked to your mobile number on the 80160 code. If you send STOP on its own it will only cancel that particular service you are replying to.

The shortcode 80160 is most likely a shared shortcode which means several companies use it and this is why different services are being mentiond above in this thread.

The texts4gifts message will just be a free marketing message sent to promote it so you should not be getting charged unless you activate the service by sending the keword they are advertising (WON).

In any case just reply STOP ALL to be sure :-)

I have received 2 text messages from this number in the last couple of days. I have checked with Vodafone and nothing has been charged to my account. They advised to text STOP ALL - I did this and I received a text stating I had been removed from their database...I will wait and see!

I've requested they inform me who sent the message as I'm now concerned my mobile number is in the public domain when I've not authorised this.
