I also have been receiving calls from this number. Same indian guy telling me to sign on to my computer, and look for a logo on the bottom corner. No matter what I say, he continues to tell me to look for a logo. I kept hanging up, and they keep calling. Said it was from VT USA. Scammmmmmm

Some kind of scam I'm sure. Said he was working for Windows. very thick middle eastern accent.

4/11/15 - Got a call at 1:08 P.M. Central.  I didn't answer as I didn't know the number and they left no message.

Jerk called. Said he wanted to F* my wife. We hung up. He called again. We are trying to block the number.

Tech support call.
Got into a shouting match with this MF.
Obviously has nothing better to do than argue with me.
Wasted at least 10 minutes of his time.
I'm retired, Best exercise I have had all day!
Give 'em hell people.

Have you purchased a domain online?  I only started getting calls after I purchased a domain name and had to use my contact information due to ICANN rules.

Did you purchase a domain name online without WHOIS privacy?  I'm thinking that is how he is getting our phone numbers.
ICANN regulations state you have to use legitimate contact information or they'll revoke your domain, look it up.  You can always purchase domain name privacy protection.

Do you have a website or a domain name you recently purchased?  I'm trying to find the link between all of us.  Maybe it's through AVG antivirus (recently installed)....maybe he's just pulling random numbers....i dunno

Today at 6:49 P.M. EST I received a call from a person with a thick Indian accent claiming to be a Windows computer technician. He told me that my computer was infected with a virus. I immediately hung up on him and googled the number on my cellular caller ID the number 802-201-5896  comes back belonging to scammers who are out to defraud people. If you get a call from this number hang up and report it.

I did not tell the scam artist who called that I am a former computer tech/software/computer language programmer and that I have the latest antivirus and anti-malware software installed on my all my computers which why I knew at once it was a scam.

Some guy called last night saying he worked for Windows and need to talk to me about my Windows computer cause it was infected with viruses. When i told him it wasn't he laughed and made wired sounds. Blocked the number from calling again

Same number keeps calling 802-201-5896.  Guy by the name of Eddy Shaw with PC Repair and Service stating my computer is infected and someone is trying to access my personal data and all my financial information is not safe.  I asked for a number to call him back and he gave 347-227-6900.  I knew this was a scam but wanted to see what he would do.  I followed the instructions he gave me on my computer (never giving him details) up to a certain point.  He kept asking, now what do you see?  How about now? etc.  This is a total scam.  Once I told him the number of "errors' was on the screen, he passed the phone to someone else that claimed they can fix my computer but there is a cost and asked if I would be able to pay.  I hung up and blocked the caller.

I have received a from (802) 201-5896 several times and today was the first call that I answered and they didn't hang up immediately after.

A man with a super thick Indian accent had told me that he was with Windows and if I didn't go to my computer right away and let him "show me" how to fix it, my computer would "crash". He also told me that my computer was loaded with viruses and when I told him that I wasn't going to go to my computer, he said that I must.

So I told him that if my computer did crash that I would deal with it and politely hung up.

I did call Dell last week and for a second, I thought that maybe the call was a check up type of call.

Someone called me from the same number and said they are receiving some error messages and the system is hacked. And he will fix. Same East indian accent guy. I immediately hung up on him. he called again. Gave him a bashing and asked him not to call again. His phone numbers are:  8022015896 and 8014107837

I've received this call at least 5 times in the last few days.  I finally reported it on the national do not call list since my number is registered.  Pray they do something to these stupid people

Got a call from 1-802-201-5896. Nobody said anything and hung up after I said hello a few times. Most likely the same scam, so I blocked the number.

Scam.  he was angry when I questioned him and clearly was trying to get a virus on my computer.  NEVER GIVE OUT PC information. They can actually remote in and install viruses on your computer.

Recieved phone call from a middle eastern man stating he was a windows representative. He said my internet was being hacked. Very suspicious, I, hung up on him.

Just got the call from this number. Same as everyone else. Indian, Microsoft and I played stupid and told him I didn't know what Microsoft was. He hung up saying...oh god, oh god.

Same thing here. This "indian" guy I believe named Paul called both mine and my husbands phone saying the same thing last evening. He was calling "about my computer". When I indicated that I am aware that this is a scam and that I work at Better Business Bureau guess what...he hung up!
I attempted to call the # back however it was suddenly an "invalid #".
I suggest simply do not answer calls you don't recognize and if you do, and you hear this same type of conversation just hang up!
