Caller stated he was from Windows Support Center and my computer had a virus. He wanted me to enable a program so he could "fix" it. I told him this sounded shady. I said I would look into it and call him back. He got upset and was like just hit "yes". But them said "my name is Peter   and you can call me back at .... (gave me another made up number). My husband tried calling the number he gave me right back but it was out of service.  SCAM!

Getting calls from this number saying that our windows computer is corrupted. When we tell him that we don't have a windows system and if he keeps calling, we'll inform the police, he started using the f word.

Yes the same indian accent trying to get into my computer.   Recognized the scam and told him to  F.....off.

He got scared and hung up.

Same man...same scam...played along with it and at one point he asked me " mam, what do you see on your computer?". I said oh there's a message that popped up! He asked "what does it say?" I said .."it says middle eastern men have little weiners!"  He got mad and hung up.

Just got a call from a man with a thick accent regarding Windows. I told him that they've called before and to take me off their list. He started saying blah, blah, blah, called me a f'n dyke, then hung-up.

Indian guy called stating my computer had a virus. I stated multiple times I was a Networking Major then he told me he actually didn't call for my computer, but he was trying to "[***] me". It's a scam.

I just received a very similar call. I started asking him a lot of questions about which computer of mine he was talking about, and the name and address of his company.  With his Indian accent he told me his name was Paul Smith and he was calling from Phoenix Arizona. He didn't have a reply when I told him that the caller ID said he was calling from Vermont. He said the name of his company was PC Repair and Service. When I pressed him for the street address, he gave me my home address and zip code.  When he asked why I needed his address, I told him that before I do anything to my PC I need to validate his company.  That's when he hung up on me.

I just got the same call from the thick accented gentleman ya'll described trying to help me with my malfunction windows program. Told him his calls were in the news. That he was bad people and a scam.  He started whining that not everyone helping was bad.  I hung up on him as well.

He hung up without a further word.

I had two previous calls from same number which I did not answer - caller id said test code - I had checked the number online and read what others had said. This time ID  was blank but same number so I decided to have some fun.

I keep getting calls and I don't answer or answer and hang up.

Same guy called about my Windows computer and I laughed because my computer had just died. My son is computer expert so I told the guy his services were not needed.
He called back a week latwr and told me he wanted me to sleep and that he wanted to kill me. Again I laughed and responded I would make sure he meets his maker and to have his  afairs in order before he tries. I am grateful I looked and found so many complaints about him. He probanly terrifies elderly people......not this East Texas gal!

I want to know why the government sticks its nose everywhere else it doesn't belong in but doesn't stop these calls!!!  I'm sick and tired of having over 20 calls a day with mid eastern people calling me!!  Is the government behind these callers?  You get they are!!! If they weren't getting kick backs from these people then I bet it would stop.... And I am I the gov do not call list!!!

Just to let you know these scammers are using voice over internet protocol ( voip) to call every English-speaking country in the world not just you. I , myself ,live in Scotland and we get the same scripted calls as you do. If you check out some of the other post you will see that they spoof local area codes in the country  they are targeting be it Australia, Canada ,UK or wherever so that there is very little any government can do.
Especially when they call many times from different numbers all in the one day.  We can can only hope they will run out of people who don,t know about this scam. Picture the scene from downtown Mumbai:-

Received call as Test Code VT 802-201-5896. Answered, said his name was John from Windows Security and there was a problem with my computer. I asked if he was Windows Tech Support he said no, they were Windows Security. Asked where he was located he said Los Angeles asked for their address and they were not allowed to disclose their location for security reasons. Asked for their company name and he said PC Repair N Service asked for their website he said pcrepairnservice.com. He was polite and his English was good with an unrecognizable accent. Asked where home was he said South Africa and he had been here 3 years. I was not combative or hostile just asked normal questions that you would expect when trying to do business and he was responsive. I then asked if they had an internal Do Not Call List he said they did and would put my number on it. We'll see if that works! Windows Tech / Windows Security scam calls. Thick Indian accent telling me my computer is sending errors to the global  server of windows.  I always try and let them know I am interested and try to waste as much time of his that I can.  This time it was 8 min of his time.  I figure if you do that he won't be very productive and find a real job.

I have received many calls either from a man or woman with an Indian accent who wants me to turn my computer on so they can gain access to my system. They say that I have been hacked. I actually was hacked and took my computer in to be cleaned and to have hard drive replaced.  Am thinking they are trying to gain access again through this call. Not a chance will I give them access to my computer.

A man with a heavy indian accent wanted to talk to me about my windows computer.  We get this call almost daily, I picked it up once because of the Vermont area code. Total scam

Received call showing this number under CNAM & CNUM. This dud changes his name more than his underwear. Foreign accented trying to tell me his name was Herie from windows security. I said Herie why u try to BS me he said he  was not a scam but an honest business trying to help consumers. I said Herie what's your company name and he said PC Repair and Service asked his location he said LAX. I asked if many people where falling for this and he hung up. Bu-bye Mumbai Herie!

Person calls several times a day and when I answer and say "Hello" they hang up, super creepy so I'm just going to stop answering. Caller ID says Test Code VT
