My grandfather (who passed away a few years ago) just got a letter from "Maritime Investment and Consultant Inc." located at "315 E Main St, Suite 202 Washington, Indiana 47834". So this address actually belongs to "Sterling & Co PC
315 E Main St, Washington, IN 47501, (812) 254-1138". And the scammers got the zip code wrong, the zip code they listed is actually for Brazil, Indiana. All around, they made it too easy to confirm it's a scam. I mean you would think they could at least use the right zip code on their stolen address. Oh and by the way, my letter came from Eric John Williams, from Markham, Ontario when he was in Canada on business. So yes, definitely DON'T GIVE OUT ANY INFO TO THEM!!!

YAY! I apparently have $4.2 million from Barrister Eric John WIlliams with a phone number from Indiana, a fax number in Delaware and needs to fire his secretary due to all of the glaring basic grammar mistakes in his letter to me. I'm thinking of sending him hard core animal porn to help confirm my interest to his requests.

I just got a notice saying they had US $4.2 Million for me from a relative now deceased who lived in the US for decades even though he was a Canadian citizen. They could not find any immediate relatives after several tries. I have 5 siblings! WARNING SIGN!!! The letter was sent as was the one above from Canada as Eric was there on Official meetings. The letter was addressed from Mississauga, Ontario. SCAM SCAM!!!

Contrary to what you may think ,these letters are deliberately written in this way. Those of us of a certain level of education will look at it and automatically dismiss it out of hand. However, the scammers are aware of this and target those with ,how shall I say this, a lower level or are educationally challenged. This way they get a higher level of compliance. Do not be fooled these are sophisticated scams that have been orbiting for many years.

I received a letter from Eric John Williams stating that a relative was deceased.  Eric Williams has requested that I contact him at the following:
Maritime Consultant Inc., 315 E Main St, Suite 202, Washington, Indiana 47834
    Direct Tel: 1812-565-5201; Ext 201, Fax: 1320-306-5766
    Email: ericjohnwilliams@consultant.com
Before contact, google was my first option then the next option would be an investigation to see if this, in fact, is "true".  Appreciate the comments on google.

It was addressed to my mother and refers to my dad's family, so between the bad grammar and the supposed relative in the US it is definitely a scam. Seems to be an update to the Nigerian scams that circulated for many years.

we received a letter stating a relative died and left 4.2 million dollars, and that we were the only living relatives found. Noticed all the poor grammar, figured it was a hoax so checked the address and here I am.
