yes, there was a 4.2 million insurance policy.
I hope someone in the police will follow up on this.

My family has been receiving the same letter claiming a relative by the name James Davis past away and left an unclaimed beneficiary of $4.2 million US. When I called the number provided , I person on the other end did not want to talk or give me any detail information, he litaterly hung up on me. I googled his name and it came up as an Actor. What a Scam.

Hello Sgt Shindell - My mom just received this very same letter today. Quite a lengthy affair it was as well. Spoke to our lawyer about it who confirmed it was most likely a fraud - as my husband and I suspected. Info corresponds with that given by others on this site. Some grammar errors, and also mailed from Canada, not from the States, as Mr. Williams was in Canada on "official" business. Will be taking letter and Mom to the police tomorrow so it can be sent to the fraud department in Ontario, I believe it is located. Hope these creeps who prey on vulnerable people will be caught.

I just received a letter today from Best-Way Consultants. 320E main St, Suite 202 Washington Indiana, 47834. Tel # 1-812-565-5201. It was mailed from 1450 Meyerside drive, 7th floor, Mississauga Ontario Canada. Signed at the bottom from Mr. Richard Williams. My possible inheritance # is 3.8 Million USD. Thanks for all who wrote about this. I hope my post helps others.

I received a similar, very poorly written, letter from Mr. Richard Williams of Best-Way Investment and Consultant Inc. Terrible scam which I hope no one falls for.

Received the letter as well, same phone, fax, address info, change of names. Company 'Metro Investment and Consultant Inc'. Contact person: Richard Allen Williams.
Full of errors and BULL**** Don't fall for it!

I received a letter mailed from 2680 Keele St, Downsville ON, M3M 3E6 with a postage paid letter mail. The contents were written by "Richard Allen Williams"
His contact information included his company "Guarantee Professional Inc." At 320 E Main St, 202 Washington, Indiana 47834. Direct telephone number 1-812-565-5201 ext. 201, Fax 1-320-306-5766

The letter states that I may be an extended relative of a deceased family member who had no immediate family at all. Only Google was able to find me, a person with the same last name as the deceased. My inheritance would be a sum of 3.8 million dollars. It tris to persuade me to give my full name, address, occupation, phone number and email address.

Crazy stunt.

Fair well to others who have the intelligence to look into these things prior to participating in this scam.

Just for a letter from this guy what a scam my relative didn't die after years ago l talked to him last week lol. Money is the same as above 3.8 mil hope the cops can get rid of him.

Same letter here.  They were writing from Pakistan before and before that Spain.  They must think we're stupid!  Don't fall for it.  This scam has been going on for years!!

Ah, doncha just love it. Everything is retro these days, Atari games are coming back, Donkey Kong on the Nintendo, Pac Man even. Now the Nigerian 419 scam is getting a new lease of life to scam a new generation of innocents. I see from the comments that the original Nigerian Prince has been recycled to a U.S. attorney.
Same sh I t, different century.  For our younger readers Google " Nigerian 419 scam" for a history lesson in the original written scam. ( It started  in India  in the late 18th /early 19 th century when the Brits were grabbing the country.)  Have fun researching as there is plenty to read.

Received same letter today from Richard Allen Williams. He used my name, and that I had lived in the U.S. for 20 years and died a few years ago. As you can tell , I am very much alive here in Alberta and celebrating a birthday tomorrow . April 6.....That 3.8 mil. would have been one hell of a birthday gift.

Yep - got the same letter only this time it is Benjamin Williams working for Maritime Professional Inc. Still at the same address and wrong zip code and poor grammar and to my deceased wife. Not the brightest scam artists in the world.

We received the same type of letter from Benjamin Williams from Indiana. Return address on the letter was P.O. Box 217 Orangeville, Ont. L9W2Z6

My letter came from a Benjamin Williams, must be a family business  lol
