At least 5 times in the last hour and frequently in the past week (as in several times a day). I don't answer.

I told them my number is on the do not call list, I was going to report them, and hung up without allowing a response. Yes I knew from caller ID who they are.  The calls stopped.

They called the house, and keep calling. They wont stop. I told them I am not interested in answering any questions and please stop calling. They continue to call at least 3 times a day , its been 2 weeks now. My phone service provider does not provide blocking for my phone. aarrgg.

It is Nielsen and all you are doing by not answering their call is losing out on money.  They continue calling you because your home has been chosen to log what you watch for a week for this survey and they are trying to speak with you before they send out the information in the mail.  I just spoke with a customer care person at Nielsen.

Yeah they pay you 30 dollars to rate things on TV you're just screwing yourself over lol

Been calling me for a week. It was a women with a heavy accent who was difficult to understand. She kept asking me if I was Latino. I said I wasn't then she hung up. Wierd.

Got a call...who left a cryptic message...."It seems you guys are really busy there..we're not doing nothing"...and then hung up!

They call about 4 to 5 times a day.  Unknown caller but a phone number of 813-366-9800.  The least they could do is leave a message or show who they are on the caller ID. These people are rude!

They keep calling and they do not take NO for an answer. I'm very angry with these phone calls.. STOP CALLING ME NOW!!!!!!!!!

They have been relentless in calling - at least 3 times a day now.  A few years ago, they called & I answered, knowing that they are a reputable company.  They told me I was being "considered" for their rating service, I answered a tedious lengthy survey, and never heard squat after that.  So this time around, I'm not falling for that - just like I have a policy of NEVER transacting business of any type over the phone (including donations), I am not a sucker for surveys either.

With the election coming up, will be disconnecting the answering machine too - too many robocalls

These people are half wits.  They keep calling day after day even though they are told we are not interested.  I don't care if they are exempt from the no call list.  Continual calls day after day is harrassment.  

I'm guessing anyone who has posted positive comments here regarding these calls are Nielsen shills.

I am up to 4 calls within the last 5 days with no one responding to my hellos. Odd thing is that I am in the middle of a one week Nielsen Ratings survey.

Neilsen is legit. they keep calling and are persistent but they have sent me cash for the surveys. I hate what passes for entertainment so I hope my little survey might help change what is shown on network TV.

These guys will keep calling you.  I use to work with them in Radcliff, KY.  We call houses all around the US, we know your probably not interested but if everybody said that we would have nobody to do the surveys.

It doesnt matter how much TV you watch, just answer the phone call, it takes about 5 minutes and they send you a TV diary you just jot down what you watch on TV.  You also usually get $5-30 with it.

If you say you are Black/African American under 35 or Hispanic you can get up to $100 (if that still goes on) otherwise its $30 for white under 35, and $5 if you are 55 or older.

I have been called by them. and if you participate, they do give you money. i first got a packet in the mail and it came with 3 one dollar bills. so i decided there was no harm in answering a few questions. then i got another packet, and it came with 30 dollars to repeat another..


advertising isnt always bad.
also remember, treat people the way you want to be treated. i got 33 dollars out of answering some questions about my tv and phone. you guys get constant calling for being a jerk.

They called 2 days ago and I felt like they were getting to personal..how many people live in our house ..our ages, our address. This wasn't for tv it was for radio talk shows. I think the lady got a little upset I never gave her a precise answer. Guess what they called again last night(didn't answer) and again this morning..I answered and told them I had already done this and to please stop calling. we shall see..

they paid me up front - cash in hand and a survey to take online (8 or 10 questions)  They are cool by me.

Been suffering through this for a few weeks, just choosing not to answer.  Read on this board about the Nielson ratings, and remembered we got a postcard from them a few weeks ago stating that they would be calling soon.  Very, very nice woman asked a few questions about our radio listening habits, then said our journals would be in the mail soon.  We will be paid 15.00 for each.  Did not try to sell ANYTHING.  Legit call.
