This number keeps calling my cell phone.  Two times a day but when i pick up, there is just silence and then cuts off.  If it is Nielsen tv ratings i have dealt with them before, they sent me $3.00 to take an over the phone survey, which i didnt mind, but the answerless phone calls are annoying.

I've never received any of these calls, but I still get hassled by them. Why? because I own a cell phone that has a similar number. When people who get these calls receive them, their caller ID shows "813-366-9800" but when they hit caller ID to call the number back, they forget to put a 1 in front of the number... so basically they are dialing 813-3669 and I get the call if they happen to be in my areacode.

Nielsen - if you read these comments, please change your caller ID to include the leading 1 or just block your caller ID so I can stop getting these calls from stupid people thinking I am calling them.

Just called... I answered and no one there!  Got the number and put it in google never expecting to see a WEBSITE dedicated to this phone number.  How odd...  needs more investigation

Just answer! They ask you like 5 questions over the phone then send you a journal to keep track of what tv shows you watch for a week. They sent me $30 in the mail... it's worth it. Takes 5 minutes of your life and you get 30 bucks cash in return

It's Nielsen TV ratings...the guys who tell you how many millions of people watch each TV show each week.  They pay $30 cash to keep a journal of the shows you watch for one week.  No scam, they've been around forever.

Nielsen Ratings began calling as soon as I received my new phone number two months ago. I screen my calls but after their persistence, I answered. The caller stated she was doing a survey and needed to speak to the eldest person in the house, which I stated was my boyfriend, so we can be aware of the TV channels available to us. I advised he wasn't interested and yet they keep calling, as my declination isn't enough.

Now, it's my mission to tell the world about their harassment and try to stop their calls.

It must be Neilsen ratings, we are in the process of completing a week long survey with them. Unfortunately, I cannot pick up my cell phone at work and they never leave a message. They are probably just calling to make sure our household recieved our survey package ok.

Received the call (they showed up several times on caller i.d. but hung up on the machine). When I did answer the call, they were doing a Nielsen survey. The man asked what we watched and if were were latino/over 18/homeowners. We were not asked to keep a journal or offered any incentives.

Started answering questions - went on and on and on......started getting a little too prying and a chill came over me as I suddenly realized this might be someone 'casing the joint' for a burglary.  I hung up immediately.  I used to have respect for Nielson.......no more.

they called me and if they cant leave a message then it wasnt that important.and i wish them not to call me anymore.cause if they call and i answer my phone they may hear something they dnt wanna hear.

they called several times did not leave a message I called # back and thery said to call 800-336-6434 and told them I want off there calling list not to call back they were very push so I hung up.

No means NO.  Sometimes it means HELL NO.

No one should be obligated to pick up their phone and take part in a survey simply to stop being harassed by repeated calls.  That's Mob Mentality - strong arming someone until they give in and do what you want.  Harassment itself is illegal, and these nitwits should either be fined through the roof, or shut down.

It's Nielsen Ratings.  If you don't want them to keep calling you're just going to have to answer the phone and tell them so.  Another option is to call 800 336 6434 and make complaint...I have decided I will answer next time after reading this board though.  I would sure like $30+

This may be a shared outgoing number.  American Express and The Miss Bar has a contract for a discount on legal papers shipping.  Calls to me from this number are checking our experience.
