THIS IS A FRAUD! These are no more than terrorists and extortionists, most likely operating from outside the US. They even tried to get an employee of the Kansas AG's office. If they contact you, demand they produce WRITTEN VERIFICATION of the debt they say you owe. If they do not, refuse to pay and file complaints with the FTC and your AGO. If they threaten you, contact the FBI, FCC, Homeland Security, and your local police in addition to the aforementioned entities. Below are some links you will find interesting. http://www.kktv.com/home/headlines/96932839.html http://www.newsfirst5.com/news/fake-collectio ... -from-overseas/ http://www.wvago.gov/internetloanscam.cfm https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-813-441-0108 http://www.ksag.org/page/debt-collection-scam Affidavit Consolidation Services, YOU ARE FRAUDS, EXTORTIONISTS, AND LIARS. YOU HAVE BEEN REPORTED TO THE FBI AND HOMELAND SECURITY AND THE SECRET SERVICE, AND THEY CAN FIND YOU ANYWHERE! YOUR DAYS ARE NUMBERED!

I just received this same phone call.  I don't remember the first guy I talked to, but he put me on with his "supervisor".  That guy's name was Shawn Williams.  They said they were from ACS Affidavit Consolidation Services.   It was really hard to understand what they were saying.  He read off all my information, including bank.  Thank goodness I had already closed that account two years ago and I have since moved.  (Still work at the same place though)  I hung up on him after I told him that I have no such loan outstanding.  He called back and and left a message.  (I didn't answer this time.)  He told me he thought it was rude that I hung up on him and if I didn't call back then he would send the cops and his "legal team" to my work place and home.  The number he told me to call back at was 646-783-4929.  The number that came up on the caller ID was 052928512.  Should I worry?

Stacey - ABSOLUTLEY DO NOT WORRY. This is a total scam. I would put a fraud alert on your credit reports though since these guys have you SSN. I've been getting calls from them on and off for year. The first time I was terrified. Now I tell them to F off and hang up. The second time they called when they asked if I had an attorney "i said yes, actually, he's right here" and they hung up.

Do not confirm any information, and DO not give them any new information. Even if you owe money for a payday loan - it is ILLEGAL to threaten you with arrest if you do not pay. You have rights too!  This company is 100% fraudulent - you can tell by their vague legal terms like "download you affidavit to the court"  - that isn't even a thing. . .

Sometimes I like to mess with them, I ask where they are calling from, then ask random questions about that place, like the capitol of the state or the name of their governer. It's moderatley entertaining. :)

I have been receiving the same calls.  AS well as (2) of my friends that were listed as references.  This company is a scam; I have filed a complaint with the FTC (who states they have received many complaints about this company).  I have also sent a certified letter, after downloading the complaint form, to my state Attorney Generals Office stating the same info I gave to the FTC.  They are doing the same practice, state to state; Usually Indian accent sounding; calling them back you usually will get the "supervisor" who is rude, threatens you, etc and then will either hang up or you are so frustrated that you cannot get any info on the "loan" you supposedly defaulted on or their address or any other info that you hang up.  They will call your work; your friends, anyone to get you to "pay" them.  DO NOT PAY THEM!!  REPORT THEM TO THE FTC AND YOUR STATE ATTORNEY OFFICE.  They have 100's of numbers and many different names; mine was Jack Dawson (can anyone say Titanic?).....life is hard enough without these kinds of people...what is the world coming too?

You want to know how to really screw with these goofs and help relieve some anxiety on your part? BLOCK YOUR NUMBER, call them back at the number they leave on your voice mail after a little while, and have fun. Keep calling them back over and over. Tonight I got one guy so mad he last answered his phone with just “hello” and now won’t answer at all and his voice mail box mysteriously will not accept any more messages…..Gee, I wonder why??
Since these creeps darn near cost me my job, I decided nothing was off-limits. I told him his ancestors were mud eating pigs, that I did his sister and she loved every minute of it, that I’d do him if he didn’t like it, that his mother had been in more laps than a napkin, that his girl had been around more times than a carousel, and on and on. I asked him about his female plumbing…..oh man I laughed so hard by the time I was done I had tears in my eyes…and these smileballs deserve every bit of it.
It seems they can dish the crap out but can’t take it very well.
Don’t put up with them……..get yours back!!

I received a similar call.   The number I was given was (951) 566-4095 X 199038.  It is a New York area code.  I asked for a copy of the affidavit or something to prove that I owed money to a cash advance company (I should know which one, by the way) and his response was:  "A cop where bring you something in writing tomorrow."  The use of the word "cop" prompted me to laugh and he hung up.  I called back (not sure I had had enough abuse) and talked with the same man, though he said he wasn't and then a supervisor who was also him with his voice "disguised".  He asked me for the name of my lawyer who would represent me.  I stated I didn't have a lawyer.  He responded, "You don't have someone to represent you in court tomorrow to defend you against this?"   I asked where I was supposed to appear in court the next day and he indicated he didn't have that information.  Having had enough I indicated that I had doubts about how legitimate his company was due to the fact that by law he was supposed to read me a debt collection statement.  At that time he hung up again.  Just so you know, he called my work number as well, which is why I felt it could be a legitimate call.  I guess I will wait until tomorrow to see if the "cops" come.  He had the last four digits of my ss number.  Actually the first few times he called, he would start with asking for me (on my answering machine) and then proceed to read off part of my ss number, realize he might be doing somehting wrong, thinking he erased that message, started over again on the same message and then still not saying it right, hung up.  He then called later in the day to try again, getting it better that time and letting me know that I SHOULD NOT DISREGARD THIS MESSAGE.  The scariest part was my work number being known, which is not even in the same city or area code that I work and the more than last four digits of myss number.  I am protected on that end with the credit  bureau if someone tries to get credit, due to this not being the first time someone has tried to steal my identify, only that time it was someone I knew!

Yes it is a scam - they actually got me 2x before I caught on - just ignore there calls  - they will pass around your information.  At one time you might have had a cash or payday loan and they hacked into someone's computer and got your information.

    Don't send them any money.

The caller was male, thick-middle eastern accent, in his message said his name was "John Smith", asked for "Martha", said there were "serious charges against me and my social security number" and that I better call back before "anything went wrong with me" So I called them back...and the number is no good. Most irritating So then I called the call back number he left on his message 347-625-3715 I was super polite, I asked to speak to the man who left me a message, told him I couldn't quite understand what he was saying on the answering machine. He asked for my phone number so I gave it to him (they have it anyway) First they asked If I was one person, and I said that was incorrect, then they asked if I was Martha I said "that is also incorrect" He started to speak rapidly in a foreign language I could here lots of people speaking in a foreign language in the back ground and hung up on me. Now to turn off My caller ID and have some real fun.

I keep on getting calls from a man named "Kevin McClane" with a heavy indian accent, saying he is from Affidavit Consoliadation Services reporting that I owe Cash Advance USA $300.00 loan that I supposively received on January 2010, which he reported the loan company was going to press charges. When I asked him to send me information on the loan, he reported I will need to find an attorney if I don't pay for the loan plus court fees. When I asked him again for the loan information, he became upset and hung up the phone. the number that was on my caller ID 813-708-1726 and +000000000. This is a SCAM and will reporting it to the attorney's office.
