- Greg| 3 replies"anonymous" caller ID from 866-326-0949. I picked up and no one was there. I called back because they woke me up. "Linda" - if that's her real name - said they called because they had buyers for my truck. i'm not going for it, but at least she apologized for waking me up. En guarde.

- HankThe company's name is Auto Marketing Systems. I talked with Tim the same day you commented. Got a nice packet of info yesterday in the mail. Little pricey, though.

- Amy G.| 3 repliesI was called also - by a Deeanna? She was jovial, but to the point - they want to help me sell my car. I've seen other posts that mention the pretty packet, has anyone USED them yet or do the non-skeptics even look at these sites? :-) What do they do? If I knew they could do it quickly, I might bite. Anyone?

- JavierI just posted on another board about these guys because I DID sign up and was starting to wonder. They HAVE given me a lot of good tips and I've got one solid prospect coming to check out my van. No sale yet, but at least I'm getting some early action.

- Jayden PhipI posted my ATV on craigsist and then had been called by “Chris Tillmen” via blocked number. I missed the call but he had left me a message stating he works for “LawWood Inc.?” and had several people interested in my vehicle and left this number. So I called back the number and spoke with a lady who called herself “Mera” she told me she worked for “AMS Vehicle Sales”. She went on to tell me that they had local buyers standing by with cash to buy my ATV. Sounds good right? She goes on about the $200 investment I have to put up before they will have anyone call me. I wasn’t buying it, so she then started pushing the fact that I was selling it for $6500 and that the buyers they have standing by have already put in offers of $7900 Cash. Fact is that the MSRP brand new is $7100 and the things aren’t exactly rare. The company may very well be legitimate, but the lying sales tactics make them a bit shady. They claim a grantee for a fund of most your money, but what kind of fight will that be from a company that blocks their number?

- Paul with Auto Marketing Systems| 2 repliesGood afternoon, my name is Paul Russell with Auto Marketing Systems (http://www.amsvehiclesales.com). As I sat and read these posts, I thought it would be helpful to use this message board (and others I'm aware of) not only as a sounding board for you, which it is clearly meant to be, but also a place to get some answers from someone who knows. I plan to check back frequently to keep up with your questions, and I hope any information I can give you will help you make the most informed decision about using our service. Please read on as I attempt to address your concerns, and please understand that there may be some questions that request information I am unable to disclose. Thank you in advance for your questions and comments!
- Paul with Auto Marketing Systems| 1 replyGreg, sorry for waking you. Many of us probably forget that not everyone works a daytime shift. However, I guarantee you we could still help you move that truck. Give Linda another call.
- Paul with Auto Marketing SystemsHank, if the investment is a concern, don't forget that our service is guaranteed. In the end, you're only risking $29 and that's well worth giving us a shot isn't it? Especially since we put your money to work for you right away. Consider this... the longer it takes us to find you a buyer, the more money it's costing us. We would prefer to make money on your investment and the only way we can do that is by helping you quickly.
- Paul with Auto Marketing Systems| 1 replyAmy G., As I mentioned to Hank, yes, we believe our pro-active approach to finding buyers is the fastest way to sell your car... we CAN help you! And you raise an excellent, though unfortunate, point - who, other than the skeptics, are looking or posting on these sites? I'd love to see some testimonials, but these sites just aren't where you'd find them. Thanks for your post, and please give DeAnna a call back. She's ready to help you.
- Paul with Auto Marketing SystemsEric B., thanks for your post. It appears you would like to make people aware of few complaints/concerns that have been posted on another site, so I will post my responses there.
- AndyI got a call two days ago on my voice mail box from Allison. Thought It'll be worth to google the phone number which was given. Interesting things I read. I will leave my hands of it that's for sure. If a company whoever they are want's to sell my car go ahead but I would pay if they would have sold the car like a commission but certainly not before.
Weird thing also is that some answers of a guy like Paul from Auto Marketing Systems give the exact same answer or explanation word by word in different message boards.
Andy- Caller: Auto Marketing Systems?
- Paul with Auto Marketing Systems| 2 repliesAndy, you raise two concerns/points...
1) that I give the exact same answer or explanation word by word on different message boards.
My reply - If the question or concern is the same on different message boards, shouldn't the answer be the same? I would think people would be concerned if they found INCONSISTENT/different answers to the same question. I do copy and paste a little to be efficient, but even then I edit to make certain I've answered the question.
2) that you would pay after the vehicle sold, such as on a commission basis.
My reply (which you may find something similar on another message board) - We've tried this. And while I'm sure you would be one of the 10% of our customers who would promptly pay us for our work, we would have to track the other 90% down for payment, and we are simply not interested in becoming a collection agency. It should make sense to everyone that it's much easier for 1 person to keep up with 1 payment to 1 company than it is for 1 company to make sure they get payment from thousands of people. So you do have to pay up front to ride the ride. It's been proven as a necessity.
Thanks for posting your concerns. I hope this has proven helpful and that you might consider let us help you sell your vehicle! - aron| 1 replyso paul were can i look to see your business's credibility?
- aronone more thing paul. who are yall are yall auto maketing systems or are yall longwood idustries. from what i can see from both websites is you both have the same business modle, wich in most cases would be understandable but yall are exactly the same. dose this meen its one company with two names. as for the credibility pleas do not refer me to your web sit, i know little about computers and even i can make a website look like that. pleas respond if yall are legig i would love to do business.

- Paul with Auto Marketing SystemsAron, Thanks for your post. Longwood Industries does business as Auto Marketing Systems. Providing a service that matches buyers and sellers of used vehicles is just one branch of their organization, hence the more appropriate DBA ("doing business as") name. If you'd like to know that we are a legit business, the fastest way I could recommend is by using GuideStar.org, which is self-described as a complete source for information about U.S. non-profit organizations. Go to their homepage and do a search for Longwood Industries, among 1.8 million other I.R.S. recognized organizations and you can find a brief report for free. If you register, which is also free, you can log in and you will find that Longwood has been serving as a sheltered workshop in Bedford, VA since 1975. Hope this helps.
- Paul with Auto Marketing Systems| 4 repliesStan K, I'm attempting to see through the intensity and emotion of your post, but I feel like I have already addressed the concerns that lie within. Forgive me if I repeat myself, but I also don't want to ignore your post.
First, we're not a scam. Check the website I recommended in the post directly above this one [to Aron] and see that we're a legit organization.
Second, we simply cannot bill people for our services -- we've tried it and people don't pay, and we're not interested in creating a division of our business for "collections." It just doesn't work.
Third, we have access to A LOT of people who are interested in purchasing a used vehicle. What is so unbelievable about that? People buy and sell used vehicles all the time and we make it happen faster -- it's what we do.
Lastly, we would in no way discourage you from continuing to use Craigslist. As a matter of fact, I would encourage you to use as many means of internet and traditional advertising as you can. The free ones are easy on the wallet in tough times, but you also get what you pay for. Good luck with whatever you choose! - CarlosI just got a call from Allison, I don't think you guy should be calling people if people want to sell there cars with you they should look for you. I really cant stand blocked numbers so I dont ever answer.
- Paul with Auto Marketing Systems| 1 replyCarlos, it is just not our style to sit back and wait for business to fall in our laps. Our whole service is designed around being proactive in putting buyers and sellers together.
If you let us know which vehicle you are selling, we can let our clients know that you are not interested in working with them on a possible sale.
I would also like to note that although you state the number was blocked, clearly Allison left our phone number for you on her voicemail; otherwise, you wouldn't have been able to post on this site, right? - James| 1 replyHe is now using the name Brad...If they are legit why don't they have a Caller ID? What are they hiding
