I called them back after brad a.k.a. paul left second message on my voice mail.
The girl on the phone said that they guarantee the sale for my car and not only that, they would get multi buyers and bump the price up $500 to a $1000 more that i'm currently asking.
To what I said "well if you really do guarantee the sale, why don't you guys buy my car and sell it for more money yourself? I'm happy, you're happy, both in profit"

    she hanged up............. LOL!!!

The sad thing is that there are so many ppl, especially seniors that do believe this [***] and go for it. Get ripped off. Cry it over and still do not learn their lesson because another scam attempt will have totally different schematics confusing the leaving [***] in them. Poor guys.

Hi my name is leslie, i have had the wost expirence with this company and is like also like a bad dream, everyday i wake up so mad at this situation and i vow to push this as high as this can go and my aim is to sink these people by speading the truth to the public so that nonone else is subjected to this scam...

I posted my add for my infiniti cause i was stressed and wanted to just start over in life and i was willing to sell my car so that i can speand more time with my family. Winter was on its way in and i desided to post an ad on the auto trader website by posting this ad i recieve couple emails from people and in a 3 day span constant i had been recieving repeated calls from an unknown number being i was at work i never got the call well now to think of it one time i did pick up and i was saying hello hello and none replied but they never hung up. Anyway i checked my messages and the message went something like this ... " hi my name is BRAD i have been trying to contact you but was alway unable to catch you so i desided to leave a message you can call me at 1866-..." (what ever the number was).. ok being cruious i was like ok i am a give the number a call and see what its about.. so i called and i got a rep and i asked to speak to brad she stated brad was on a call and she can assist me so i spoke to her ( talking to these people have you feel so uneasy i should have went with my gut) i asked alot of questions because i dont just give my card to anyone so she told me about a package that you dont get a refund on and then she told me about the refund one leaving out that you had had to get a notorized receipt but she did say that if you stay the 90 days with the ad that you a have a refund and they keep the 29 for processing fees. I also asked her if well i sell my car before the 90 days if i can have my money back and she stated that yes they will refund me right away ( because we all well know if she stated that i had to still wait 90 days and they aint doing nothing for me why would i have them hold my money ) anyway she said yes you will have the money refunded right away( which was a HUGE LIE!!!), ok i went away for the weekend cause i did this friday and on the tuesday i called back to cancel she then told me that i have to fill out this form and send it back in and i have to wait 90 days to do so...I asked why do i have to wait that time when the ad is cancelled and you all are not doing anything for me further more my car is nolonger for sale i told her i want conformation of the cancellation and she sent me to personal email i was like what is this? this is a personal email i want a company letter head stating that i was cancelling she refused to send me that and instead sent me an emial of the terms and conditions.. this have been exactally a week and since i started with them and i have not gotten the reciept in the mail or anything, when you call in they all excited and bubbly when she pulled up my account she got all angry, bitter, unprofessional so i allowed her to speak to her self and the dial tone... AMERICA AND CANADA ALERT!!! DO NOT AND I MEAN DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE ...TOTAL SCAM!!!

    Paul,
I signed up with AMS back in late May 2009.  Check it out, customer ID#: 498123.  I did not receive one lead from AMS despite the heavy dose of optimism from your associates (I called twice and talked to different associates one before and one after I read through the packet received in the mail).  Honestly, I had not expected an influx of calls as I was selling a 1-year old vehicle in an auto market that was practically giving away new ones.  Despite my apprehension, I went for it.  I figured for a $29 risk, it would be worth selling the car for $199.  So up to that point (besides some rather overstated sales leads) your company seemed to be on the up and up.  When the end of the 90 days came without a single sales lead or phone call through AMS, I decided to discontinue your service and to trade in the vehicle at a local dealership.  I applied for my refund following all of the fine print in your contract.  The refund was promised to be issued in 30-45 days.  Mind you, the notarized receipt was sent in late August 2009.  I have called AMS now three times and emailed multiple times about my refund.  Every time I have called, your sales associates are very pleasant to deal with (to your company's credit) and each has informed me that I properly met all obligations to receive my refund, that I should see the credit to my card within 3-7 days and they suggested that I email my concern as well (being that you can not apparently ‘speak’ with a supervisor or manager at AMS, but that they check all emails … shady???).  My emails have apparently fallen on deaf ears as I have not received a single reply to any of them.  So tell me Paul, if you are a legitimate company performing a valid sales service to customers, WHERE IS MY REFUND?  My next move is a small claims action ...
    Regards,
    Alan

    Buyers Be Ware!

Paul, let's see how you spin a resolution to this one...

I received numerous calls from a "Brad" at Longwood, Inc., who left messages on my voice mail stating he'd noticed my car (advertised for sale in one or two venues) had not sold and that his company could guarantee a sale at the price I was asking.  After repeated messages from Brad, I finally return the call and spoke with a representative (I was told Brad only made the contact calls) from Auto Marketing Systems (a sister company of Longwood, Inc.).  I was provided the same sales pitch that has been mentioned throughout this site by others; I requested information about the company and was provided this via email.  After completing my research over the web, to include checking with the Better Business Bureau, I concluded I did not wish to use the services offered by Auto Marketing Systems.  A day and a half after my initial conversation with the representative from Auto Marketing Systems, I was contacted by the representative.  I explained my research findings and my decision not to use their services.  The representative was cordial but tried to ease my concerns by providing much the same explanations as have been provided by Paul on this and other sites (interesting, could this have been rehearsed or part of employee training?).  I finally concluded that if Auto Marketing Systems had so much confidence in their ability to find a buyer for my car, why not proceed with the process but payment would not be due until after the sale of the car; and I would gladly double the amount Auto Marketing Systems was asking for their service.  For lack of a better word, the representative brought up the issue of "integrity" on my part(explained much the same way as Paul did) prevented their company from providing the service with payment after the sale.  I explained that I was a retired United States military officer and that my word was my bond; I was told (very politely) it didn't matter if I was a "Preacher".  Here was an opportunity, if all went well, to have someone provide positive feedback to a good experience.  Finally, Paul I disagree with your rationale as to why people have not provided positive blogs concerning your service; it is in the human nature to pass on those things that have proven beneficial, to help and inform others.  And yes, we are quick to point out a wrong or preceived wrong.  I think what you are seeing in these blogs are the frustrations of individuals, tired of being taken advantage of; some, as the case with me, have taken the time to conduct research (non bias in its origin) before entering into a business transaction they have questions about and eventually walk away with a bitter taste in their mouth.  Scam or no scam, the informed consumers are taking a stance against business practice such as yours that leaves all the power in your hands with little recourse for them if you do not make good on your claim.

    Respectfully,

    sgb,
    An Informed Consumer

    The Good Wife ;)
You Know That Saying When It Sounds Too Good To Be True...Yeah. Well, My Husband, God Bless Him, Falls For Those Things All The Time! So I Went To The Website Because The Ill Informed Letter Of "Guarantees" Wasn't Enough To Prove To My Husband That Something Was Fishy. The Website Was Worse!!! My Husband And I Play This Game When We Watch TV We Try To Read The Fine Print At The Bottom For The TRUTH! There Is No Fine Print Any Where With This Company. The Website Looks Like My Computer Homework From The Ninth Grade. But Because My Gut Feeling Wasn't Enough For My Hubby, Who Is Just Really Eager To Sell The Car Due To Us Still Having Tight Pockets, I Went Online And Found This Thread Which Was Enough For Him To Realize That ANY Company With This Many Issues Isn't Worth The $250 That We Don't Really Have Anyway. We Are An Air Force Family Of Four. We Have Two Beautiful Babies, And I'll Be Hot Damned If I Let Some Sleazy Cheap Company Scam Us!!  This Company And Others Like It Should Feel Ashamed. This "Pual" Guy Is Probably Just Some Other Jerk That Gets Paid To Prowl The Thread And Try To Make AMSVehicleSales.com Look Like A Credible Company. So I Would Like To Thank Everyone Who Posted Their Complaints And The Truth About AMSvehicleSales.com. It's Really Sad That In Times Like These Their Are Still Companies Making Dirty Money Off Of Hard Working People! Especially Service People!! God Bless You All And Thank You!

Too many complaints about NOT paying back the refund. Also, any one who pays this without seeing any kind of sevice in effect is in danger of getting ripped off. Also, NOBODY claims to have sold a vehical through your service ... It is all to shady looking and paying up front is just crazy. And last but not least the COST of your 'service' is much too high ... Good luck with your business and i'll be watching for more customer comments about your business. If you are a scam after all I'll be one the instigators to have you shut down. Catch you later.

If a employee of the business has to try and convince on a blog that the company he works for is credential then obviously its not ha. I am only 18 but getting calls like this and scams is hopefully going to never happen with this younger generation. This is part of the cause why America is in such a bad shape. A country who is not moral will not be a strong nation. Its things like this that make me want to become part of the government who is as of now not doing its job! Our nation could be great if politics wasnt so screwy and if Americans would realize the problems right in front of us it would be an easy fix. The government needs to shut [***] like these down

Hello everyone, I’ve read all the posts and find the replies from Paul rather amusing.  This would apply to the telephone numbers 866-326-0949, 800-430-1965, 877,572-5714..
Paul, who is actually the owner of the company, Bryant Cass, sits in his office all day scouring sites like this pretending to be some low level employee.  All of their companies have such bad Internet blogs that they must try and do damage control, which explains all his recent posts.
“Auto Marketing Systems” is also thebiglot.com, autohopper.com , et al and all owned by Adventis, Inc. based in Roanoke, Virginia.  His other business partner, and brother, is Mason Cass.  I would contend that Messrs. Cass do not like to be called and hung up on.
Adventis does not “buy” leads at all – they simply have computers that pull numbers off the Internet, load them into their automated dialers and continuously call people all day long.  Their business model is predicated on leaving a message because they know this type of service does not sell well cold calling.  This explains why many of you get hung up on – the system hears you answer and then it disconnects.
The model of these clowns is simply – charge a fee, make a refund policy extremely difficult to follow and hope that a)Not many people apply for the refund and/or b)Make it difficult to “qualify”.
Let me again state that any notion that this company purchases leads is purely nonsensical and fraudulent advertising.   Their website(s) get very little web traffic and they only consumers who shop on their website are customers that end up buying their service – which amounts to not much web traffic.
Further, Adventis does not sell hardly any cars via their website.  I would estimate that out of 1,000 vehicles placed on their website less than 3 get sold due to their service.  Adding to their poor sales record, Messrs Cass know nothing about car values, car selling trends, buying/selling or the used car market in general.  They are counting on your naiveté– I hope this explanation keeps many more from becoming victims.
We all get emotional about selling our vehicle, but the best places to sell your vehicle these days remains AutoTrader (the highest trafficked website), eBaymotors, Cars.com and traditional print classifieds.  You may also do better advertising your vehicle in a larger market, but rest assured, if you spend $200-$400 with Adventis you will not sell your vehicle due to their service.
I’m sorry Mason and Bryant Cass, but Adventis, Longwood  and your methods of extorting money from the public must be made public knowledge.
    -Your former #1 Sales Agent.

I signed up with AMS several days ago and guess what? NOT ONE CALL. I was going to sign up for the guaranteed service,  but this lady told me i should only the non-refundable aprox $150 fee because my car would sell in no time. She told me she had customers ready to see me starting that very same day. I had listed my BMW car for 15,900 but she told me she had buyers that were willing to pay $16,400 so she had to list it at that price. I think this is a SCAM and I would advice any of you to stay away from these kink of scamming services.

Why, if I was willing to pay the $249 (supposedly refundable) she charges me a smaller fee, then says she already has lined up SEVERAL qualified buyers...then the days pass and pass and NOTHING!!

    DON'T USE THIS SERVICE.

I've spent a lot of time researching this company (after I got scammed) -- If I can help anyone DO NOT USE THIS SITE.

YOU WILL LOOSE YOUR $249 AND YOU WILL NOT SELL YOUR CAR.

I REPEAT, DO NOT USE THIS SITE
