got a call from them, went to the website and put in my ZIP and number, came back that they are looking for a deadbeat "friend" that gave our house number on a debt and then skipped out on it a few years ago.  If you are getting called by these guys, someone either used you as a "contact in case" number or stole your identity.  If you do the website lookup it will show the name of the person they are looking for. (read the disclaimer before you "Confirm" though)

i have gotten this call from 866-441-5558 claiming to be the Takar Group.  i didn't know what they were so looked them up on internet and see they are a bill collection agency.  this makes no sense since we have no outstanding bills, no credit cards and no house payment.  we are not in arrears on anything.  this is plain harrassement!  i will not call these people and i will block my phone if i can.

Keep getting calls from 'The Takhar Group', but each time they call they give two different phone numbers 1-866-480-8299 AND 1-888-408-8299. Caller today was 'Matthew Jackson'. When I called the number, the recording said 'You've reached the non-working number of J.B Morgan-Chase'.

I received a voice mail from this phone number even though I answered my phone on the 2nd ring.  it said I needed to contact them immediately or action would be taken against me but did not say what action.  I have no past due debts, or outstanding credit cards.  this is some kind of scam.

I received a message from 866-408-8299 saying it was an urgent matter. They are called Takhar Group and demanded that I call them back or visit their website. I called back and the lady was actually pretty nice. I tried to sound nice myself. She said she was calling about an account from 2006 for Columbia House. I told her I would have to check my records and call back. Well I found documentation that I PAID this balance completely a year ago. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE MONEY. If it wasn't for my records I probably would have paid this thinking I overlooked a debt. I can only imagine how many people fall victim to this =( Please be careful.

These calls are coming more and more frequent. I do not owe any one any money. I have not called back, as I have been through identity theft and I am not going there again. How do I make these calls stop?

I have received several calls with hang ups both at home and on my cell.
Now they have left messages about how urgent it is for me to call them.
I've never even heard of the Tahkar Group before....

this number has called me numerous times and it sounds like a threatening message that they leave. is there anyway of getting this resolved before contacting lawyers for harassment?

For months and I do many months I have been receiving daily calls from 1-866-408-8299 looking for a Connie P somebody they can not even pronouce the name.  I have told them on multiple occassions that they have the wrong number.  But still I get the calls.  When I tired today to get the name of their company they were rude and hung up on me twice.

If I get one more call I am filing a complaint against this company and suing them. I sent a cease and desist letter a month ago and are still getting calls.  I am sending my second one today for an alleged CBOMC bill for over $300.  I don't belong to it and never have.

Got a call from this number stating it was urgent and to call them back between 9a-7pm during business hours M-F. Got on their web site www.takhargroup.com and filled their information request: phone number they used to called me and my area code then it stated information not on their file. Don't want to waste my time with them and according to their website they are Asia/Pacific group working out of India. Don't like anyone calling my number and not requesting who they want to speak to and what they want because many times they have the wrong number. Going to block my number and if it's a collection agency, they would know my address.
