Got this call didn't say who they were calling for or what it was about didn't answer today but when I do they hang up

When I moved to SC two years ago, I was assigned some debtor's old phone number and have explained this to every collections group that has "bought" this number from previous collections groups. My phone rings constantly!! No wonder people are ditching land lines!!

This is like a bad game of hot potato that seems to never end. My Attorney General is running for governor maybe his office would like to go after these idiot holes....

They have been calling me non-stop for about a month now. Threatening messages to call back right now or they will report me. They have a new call-back number now however. It is 866-849-3243. I called it and the recording gave me an option to be removed from their calling list. I suggest that everyone who reads this do that and see if it works. They must have gotten into trouble so they changed things a bit. Now they are just calling with the hopes of having someone answer so that they can bully you out of your personal information. SCAM!

don't know why the Tekhar Group is calling me. don't owe anyone and have excellent credit rating. i keep a whistle by the phone and when I see their number pop up I sometimes answer to make sure a real person is on the line and then I give them an "earfull" if you know what I mean. starts my day with a smile especially when they wake me up. life is good.

This is a so called collection agency.  I do not know if they are real or not.  They are vague and want all your financial information.  This could be scam or it could be a legit collection agency.  When I asked for a Phone muber for the creditor, they did not know what it was. Be wary

Just received phone call from them Asked for Richard Adams, said they had the wrong number so she repeated the number and I confirmed the number and she hung up.

I called back and explained that we just received this number from the phone company and if they do not remove our number I will send a certified letter to them and if the continue to call after that it's harassment and I'll sue.

Said that she'd remove the number.

This phone number belongs to a business called Takher Group and they claim to be a collection agency.  They called me attempting to collect on a 1 to 2 year old bill but could not give me any details as to why I owed the whopping amount of $42.  The woman was VERY rude and kept screaming my name while I was asking her questions....I contacted the business she claimed to be calling for and I'll see what they have to say.  I hope that this company reads these blogs....they DO NOT have permission to call my phone.  I am on the NO CALL list as it is....geesh

I received a call from this number and they left a message saying it was urgent that I call them back between the hours of 9am and 7pm. No Name given of who is calling or what it is about. Does anyone know who this is?

For the last few weeks, several times a day I get this call.  Never does a person get on the line as tonight I waited to see if someone would pick up and that was way over 5 minutes.  All they say is that this is an urgent matter and contact must be made immediately and then they gave the website...so here is where I'm at as I googled and found this one along with their website.  they don't even leave a reference # or name of who they are trying to reach.

I just got a new cell phone number about 2 weeks ago and have been getting calls from this number almost every day.  I answered each time, said hello a couple times, no one would speak so I would hang up. Tonight I stayed on the line and a recording came on telling me it was urgent I call them between 9 and 7 eastern time. It also told me to check out their website at www.takhargroup.com. I'm not sure if that is correct, the man's voice was hard to understand. As I was typing this I also got a call from 000-000-0000, first time that has happened, but again, no one was there.

I came home this evening and saw the toll-free number, 866-408-8299 on my caller id. I went to Google and looked it up and came to this site. I went to the website someone above spoke of at http://www.takhargroup.com   This company is in Canada. I've never heard of a Canadian collection agency calling Americans? Anyway, check out the information below if it helps anyone.

takhar group called me sayin the was a collection agency with columbia house.

they said i must call the right away and then when i did recall they said i owed a bill to coulumbia house of 108.oo from 2007 and whei told them i not going to pay them then they said they well enter it to my credit record then and then i gotahold of columbia house and they backed it unless the emails are going there also sounds like some very good hackers to me really

they called me for a bill i didnt owe, checked # with directory assistance, it doesnt exist.  ddress is in niagra falls, did a reverse search, it is a ups store.  and if you go to website, they want money paid directly to bank of america with a routhing and account number listed. i turned it over to my attorney and it is a SCAM!!!!!

Takhargroup's bigger client now is Columbia House... Those folks who, after applying for a 1 time deal, automatically mail you a cd or dvd ( 6 for the price 1) or whatever,and mail you later a bill to include fees, extra charges for membership, late fees and shipping (the latest is often bigger than the product's price it self). If you recall any dealing (even the one you have paid for) with Columbia House, you wanna read this story from a consumer's complaints. See if that rings a bell. I know I had received a cd like that like before.

Got a message from this group on my cell phone today.  I do not answer phone calls when I do not recognize the number.  I immediately did a Google search on this company and found this site.
I get really annoyed when I get messages that do not specify a) who they are - the callers name not just their company b) who they are calling for c) what kind of company they are and d) they leave a 'CALL US IMMEDIATELY' message.

It is a debt collection company.  I got a call and they were looking for someone I had never heard of.  I told them they had the wrong number and they said they would remove my number from their database.

Stop [***] calling me! I got enough [***] 2 worry about!

I have no idea what this is in reference to if I owe someone I try to pay maybe not at all at once but I do pay. I only get a recorded message and the web page is of no help.
