This number has been calling our home daily for the last 3-4 weeks.  Every time we've answered there's dead air on the other end so we've resorted to ignoring the call.  Today I was waiting for a call and answered the phone and someone actually spoke.  Asked for my husband's legal name (not something anyone calls him -- so usually we think that's a telemarketer) and when I asked for a message since my husband is at work - he gave me a phone number stating only that it was a personal business matter that couldn't be discussed with just anyone.  I told him I was his wife, but that didn't matter.  
Apparently they are in the office til 5:00 so when he said he wanted a call TODAY I told him that wasn't gonna happen as my hubby is at WORK.  ASked again for him to leave a message and I'd pass it along..

His response was to speak to me as though I was a complete moron enunciating every syllable in telling me to have him call to talk about this important business matter.  It was certainly one of those moments where you want to reach through the phone and give someone a stupid slap.  

As far as I know we don't have anything outstanding, and these calls started only a few weeks ago.  To be fair, even if we owed a pile there's no need for this kind of insulting tone and conversation..

They called and asked for my husband.  I said he was at work and could I take a message...they just hung up. Just  -click-, no "no thank you" or "I'll try back another time" how incredibly RUDE and disrespectful....If they try to call again I will not pick up the phone.

They called looking for my father's name.  I told them he doesn't live here or in this country.  Well, could you have him call us back?  Well, your tollfree # doesn't work outside of Canada or the US, Sparky..  That is when he hung up on me.

I am going to have my phone provider block the #, I think.

A whoopy cushion works fine.  Takes a while before they call back again!  :)  Everytime they call us, no message is left.

Someone from this number keeps calling me and informs me that I owe money on an account that I do not know about.  They are very business like and serious and keep saying how urgent and important it is to get back to them.  I have called and only get voicemail.  Someone says Kim Hardie in a male voice and I hang up.  Told them I will contact the police next time they call

I have the same number calling me daily.
It's in regards of a traffic violation (wrong turn during certain hours of the day) and the fine by the City of Ottawa is set at $ 60.00
I also just had a stroke and have only been out of the hospital for a few days and won't be working until August. So my finances aren't peachy right now and this collection agency raised the fine to $ 107.00 (nearly double the original amount)
I've told them that I'm willing to pay them in August once I'm back at work and that because of of my medical condition I would appreciate it if they would stop calling for now.
They said they wouldn't stop calling and they won't put my file on hold and don't accept me paying in August.
So, I'm ready to sue the City.

During my divorce I got really far behind in a couple of bills and although I tried to make arrangements I just couldn't keep it up. Two of my bills went R9 so after I sold my house I finally could afford to pay them but the advice of my lawyer was not to, his logic was R9 is equivalent to bankruptcy and you gain no advantage in paying the debt as you will still pay the seven year penalty anyway...any thoughts on that?

I work for a non-profit organization, and we keep getting calls from this number. When my associate picks up the phone sometimes, there is no answer.  Last week another co-worker in my office had enough and demanded who the person was.  Truth be told, it was a collection agency.

Same story as you.  Been trying to talk with them for 3 weeks.  I dailed the number back and got through to Sureka at extension 3035 who works in the department but could not provide an answer or guarantee no more calls.  I found out that the manager of the department is named Mike.  Left a voicemail to have him call me.  Waiting...

so i get the calls about 3 times a day from some f@#kers from here they just ask for some guy i tell them its not me they just hang up so after about two weeks of this and i did file with crtc and any just like any other part of the gov they are use less unless you are paying them so the one day i was at Canadian Tire i got a air horn so now every time they call me i ask them to hold on i will get him and then i blow the air horn its to funny i hope they never stop calling me its a game my wife and i play lol and if your looking to f@#k them up and stop calling you just ask them for there fax # make them give it to you before you tell them anything after you get it make sure you have your file # and then just tell them that your going to fax something over if you ask you what tell them sese and daseist letter and fax it to them and they will never call you again they will loose there lic if they do keep all copys and if you need any info feel free to e mail me i like f@#king bags of [***] e mail me dav1a@hotmail.com

They've been calling my cell phone 5 times a day.  The number is always listed as "Private Name" in quotes just like I typed it.  I can't answer my phone at work and they won't leave a message so I guess we'll never find out what they want...although I like the air horn idea...I also have the atomic fart app for my ipod...that should do the trick!

Anybody dealing with cash store lately? wonder how they get your cell number and S.I.N lately?

Your srtupid, if it was an outstanding debt how could they get your new cell number unless you gave it to them dummy. those payday loan companies own you, that's how they got your info stupid. their contracts say that they can sell your personal info...

Ever wonder why you get a call from these places then you get a call right away from your paydayloans place right away after to verify your phone number, did they ask for id and when it wasn't enought asked for your S.I.N? you should only give employers that. otherwise your [***]. You should file fo I'D theft...

Tell them you have their adress and you send the cops. their already under investigation, they should leave you alone, otherwise treat the manager of a degenarate [***] who is going to spend the rest of hi days in jail because they are already unto him and that should stop the calls. they' re Jackals...

If you work for government they'll facebook you, find out who your friends ar and harass them into giving them your new number...

1-866-667-3307   <-- This number is from ARO Incorporated. I spoke with them and they are from the City of Toronto Debt collection agency. My traffic ticket for not having a seat belt went into collections. They were calling me to make a payment. I't s not a fraud, just a call. Cheers

For the last 6 wks this agency calling my number. First there was silence on the line every 1 hour when the call was coming, then fiinally they left a msg to call 1 866 667 3307. For sure no returning phone call on my side.

You could try what I did with a client who just did not pay. Set up my computer to fax the same message a few times at first on one page. No result. Then I changed it to continuous with one letter per page sent it to both their fax number and their regular voice number. After two nights (oh BTW they received a fair number of orders by fax, during the night, none after their expensive fax paper ran out) they sent the check by courier.
Problem solved. Lost a client but who wants a  client who doesn't pay their bill.
