Please - anyone who reads this, pay attention.  The company name as stated by a "financial agent" who sounded no more thasn 20 was "Gold One Credit"  Their corporate address was stated to me as:

10500 Alverton Rd.
Lago, FL  33771

I spoke to a Jessica, who was pleasant and gave this information, and to a Greg, who set down the handset and wouldn't talke after I asked him to remove my number from their call list and advised him that I had asked the "agent" on a previous call to remove the number.

Definitely report the activity to your state Attorney General's office (Consumer Frauds), and to the Federal equivalent. You can also register your number at the "Do Not Call" list at www.donotcall.gov - that may take some time to have your phone number removed, however.

Getting upset with the agent will not help you, but you can write their comapny a letter requesting that they remove your number from their call list.  When they receive your written request, they are mandated by federal law to stop calling.

my phone was on silent, and i found that they called me 10 times within the past hour.  I'm glad i didn't hear my phone all those times.  I was on this site when  they called again.  I just told them that they had the wrong number.  Let's see if that stops them.

I just recently started getting the calls as well.  So I called it back, and it rang for a while.  Then someone answer saying did you get a call from some (Gold) something company.  I hung up before he could even finish.  My calls started on the 26th and also today.

Get numerous calls from this number on my cell phone daily.  They also use 205-419-4897 which is in Alabaster, Alabama.  The company name is US GOLD LINE where they have their own gold shopping card and they also say they can help repair your credit.  DO NOT listen to them, this is a SCAM.  They have a contact us on their web site at usgoldline.com where you can fill out a form and tell them to stop calling, if you feel ok with giving them your cell phone number.  This shouldn't matter since they have it anyway.  I filled this form out and am waiting to see what happens.  My next step is to contact the District Attorney from the state and county they are located, they have their address and phone numbers on the web site.

I recieved two calls from this number and they asked for my routing and account number for my bank account and in doing so it would allow them to tell me what kind of Credit line I qualify for.  He even gave me their website.  Apparently Mark was with US Gold Line and wanted to help me fix my credit. This is crazy!!

fOR THE LAST 2 WEEKS THIS NUMBER KEEPING ON CALLING MY CELL AND WHEN I DO CALL THEM BACK DON'T PICK UP.. WTF

Has anyone been to freecreditreport.com?  I'm wondering because I have been there recently and the person calling from 866-710-8746 was talking about improving my credit...Just wondering if the two could be connected?

They keep calling me too. I don't answer. But, when I tried to call the number back it acted like the number was invalid.

These guys keep calling me every hour, like clockwork, I figure they have a computer program running which calls people up to check if they answer the phone. If they do, a representative calls you and tries to give you a credit card/take your money. Where can I file a complaint?

It's been 1hr since I started getting calls from this # and have recevied 10 calls already.  I have put this number on silent mode; will be placing complaints; and I recently have been to freecrditreport.com as Kristen 4Mar2008. I hope they are not responsible.

Just answer and tell them to remove you from their mailing list... threaten to sue lol
I did that and they stopped calling right away

In the last 10 minutes I have received 128 calls from this number

As soon as you reach a real person say in a loud and clear voice, "Stop calling this number."

They called me 4 times over 2 days. I googled the number and came to this site (awesome site!). If you tell them not to call you they are legally bound to cease and desist. This is why they hang up on you so quickly when you don't play along--they don't want to give you the chance to tell them to stop. This works for ANYONE. Creditors and tele-marketers alike!

Why would they care and follow the rules? If they continue to call you can bring a lawsuit to them.  They haven't called me since. Make sure you are clear, concise, and quick.

I finally answered a phone call from this #.  I told the lady to stop calling me I never gave them my #.  And she said yes you did you filled out an application and I said no I did not my credit is 100% fine I need no help please stop calling my number.  AND she yelled at me! She said you don't have to talk to me like that!

I've been getting these calls and have never answered. Finally today after 3 calls from them I typed in the number on google and never expected to see so many people getting the same calls!

So far today they've called at 9:35 am, 9:54 am and just recently at 12:54

Next time i'm answering with an air horn

they have called me twice now.  they don't leave a message and I haven't tried to call them back.  Stop calling me!!!!!

from 8 in the morning to 10 at night! i got 10 calls!!!! they dont leave a message and i dont answer it.

they called at 8:02am 9:15am 11:42am 1:54pm 3:07pm 4:04pm 4:54pm 7:28pm so far today.... same number everytime....

they call everyone 30mins! pressing charges!
