- TrentI got this call today for the first time. Lisa left a message to call a John Taylor by 7PM today. I live in California. I appreaciate everyones posts, because the message got me a little nervous, but now I won't worry about calling them back. If they call again and I get to talk to them, I will use the attorney angle.
Thank you everyone! - JD| 1 replyi also got a call from john taylors office, so i called and starting recording this phone call, i told them i was recording this call so my attorney can respond to this they told me to stop i said no i guess they dont like the table turned on them, so they hung up.803-657-4197....1-866-852-8187...from clover sc

- JudyDitto on my cell-a few messages. What I want to know is how they obtained my cell number...I am on all the 'do not call lists'!
- Caller: don't say
- RLit is NCO Bill collectors. they collect unpaid bank accounts. even if you are married or have a connecting phone on the same plan they call it too.
- RLthe do not call list is only for telemarketers. debt collectors are allow to get your cell now
- rochellemessage stating they received a file and need to verify info...no name given
- JerrinSame comments as above. Told to call John Taylor back. When I called back I specifically asked to speak with John Taylor which they would not do it without first giving the "phone number" I was reached on. When I refused to bother giving my number again without first being connected with John Taylor or being told exactly who he was they hung up on me. Not professional. Can't be real...don't plan on calling back and I am going to try and file a formal complaint.

Head Debt Collector:
Ahn Huynh Regent
Texas Bar #24004882

Ahn Regent, debt collector, lawyer, the owner of Regent & Associates, P.C., and a debt collection law firm has been in and out of various debt collection organizations since he received his law degree in 1998. Nicknamed: “Ahn the Arrogant” because he thinks he knows it all, Ahn Regent has yet to find his niche in this business. His abrasive attitude and demeanor have cost him jobs and clients in the past, he still pays off debt collection claims using money orders (want to guess why?) has NOT made a lot of friends in the court and reportedly will settle cases against ‘certain’ attorneys just so he won’t have to face them.
Ahn is a passive collector, seeking to take the easy path to a paycheck. It is no surprise to anyone he is working for the likes of UNIFUND, especially to those who once dealt with him in his other life as a collector for Citibank.
Many Texas lawyers have successfully litigated against Ahn Regent; he is a member of the ACA of Texas, so pursuing him does have advantages.
CAUTION: I recommend you NEVER disclose your bank account or credit card information to a debt collector, as you risk them emptying your account, or maxing out your credit card. If you feel they are reporting on your credit bureau files in error or need assistance in dealing with them, email the details w/your location. Assistance and referral to a consumer legal specialist may be available.- Caller: Regent & Associates
- Mike"John" just left me a message. I called back, and they said they were a collection agency...When I asked for what the told me he needed me to verify the last four of my social..When I told him I would not, he said he could not tell me what it was about....the numbers he read to me were wrong, but I didn't tell him that...very shady, and I would like to report them, but not sure how..

- MadAsHellThis fellow "John Taylor" called me last Tuesday and said I needed to verify some information about a file delivered to his desk. He also said the aforementioned things about being in his office all day.
I have no idea how he was able to get the number for my land-line, since I never use it. Since I've never dealt with US Bank and have no credit cards, mortgages, etc., I suspect he is a scammer.
1) Do not give him your Social Security number, credit card number, or any other personal info.
2) If he calls again, contact an attorney.
3) Visit the Federal Bureau of Investigation's website and click on "What We Investigate". - From IndianaI live in NE Indiana and received a call from 219-310-2004 telling me to call back John Taylor at 1-866-852-2187. It sounds like a pre-recorded message because the message starts part-way through. I have no intention of returning the call...
- BillJohn Taylor calling me...Ive actually seen a tv show about this. They call you, threating you, saying they have a warrant or something and will have to come get you if you dont pay some money...it is definitly a scam.
- dr. loss pyschologist studentI just received a call from 618 433 3036 from that john taylor, in his message he told me the 866 number but when i call it, no answer just silence....

- ToddYep me too. Just don't give then any info. I still think this is a scam, so I am going to find out what it is! wake up people
- Todd.worked for the FBI lmao that's good I need to try that one haha
- FlindersThis same person has called my home three or four times stating that his secretary has been trying to reach me without success. I have an answering machine and screen all calls. I have never received a call from his secretary. It has always been this male person that says a file has been refered to his office for handling and wants me to call him right away to discuss WHAT EVER? This sounds like a definite scam.
- Jaspergot a call at 8:30pm last night from a John Taylor stating he has been trying to reach me to obtain info for a file that has come across his desk and to please call him back, he will be in the office all day.

- Christine in Portland, OR| 1 replyJust received a call from Lisa saying "you" need to call Mr. John Taylor back at 866-852-2187 regarding a file. When I checked caller ID it reflected a Beaverton Or. name but no associateed phone number. I have never had a US Bank account and my husband had many years ago. I'm with a previous writer stating that since I am not in the habit of getting calls from collection agencies (and have credit score above 800) I'm calling it a SCAM. Send me the document and I'll have my attorney look it over John!
- Caller: Mr. John Taylor
