- Mrs. Tsame exact story. did not return the calls. thanks for the info..
- Caller: 866-2888209
- MattJust got his number on my answering machine today and it says the exact same thing as all of you! "Lisa" said "you" (didn't mention a name, just the word you) need to call beack regarding a file that has been brought to "John Taylor." Same 866 number too. If they do happen to catch you on the phone just mention the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act) and they will hang up on you!
- Daniel White| 1 replyGot the "call Mr. John Taylor" message too. I called back from a different phone number so they could not capture my info (since it's a 1-800 number). I gave them my name and the guy said they had no info on file. Two days later and they keep calling. Someone told me about pay per call scams, so now I'm a little wary to even call. I like the call from payphone idea mentioned above. I will only give my name, and definitely NO other information.

- Adam C. replies to Daniel WhiteThe following is from FDCPA (Fair Debt Collecting Practices Act) and should be read before any communication with the debt collector. Present to the person on the phone that they could be violating Section 15 USC 1692c and 1692d of the FDCPA. Here is what c and d both state: (c) CEASING COMMUNICATION. If a consumer notifies a debt collector in writing that the consumer refuses to pay a debt or that the consumer wishes the debt collector to cease further communication with the consumer, the debt collector shall not communicate further with the consumer with respect to such debt, except—
(1) to advise the consumer that the debt collector’s further efforts are being terminated;
(2) to notify the consumer that the debt collector or creditor may invoke specified remedies which are ordinarily invoked by such debt collector or creditor; or
7
§ 805 15 USC 1692c
(3) where applicable, to notify the consumer that the debt collector or creditor intends to invoke a specified remedy.
If such notice from the consumer is made by mail, notification shall be complete upon receipt.
(d) For the purpose of this section, the term “consumer” includes the consumer’s spouse, parent (if the consumer is a minor), guardian, executor, or administrator.
§ 806. Harassment or abuse
A debt collector may not engage in any conduct the natural consequence of which is to harass, oppress, or abuse any person in connection with the collection of a debt. Without limiting the general application of the foregoing, the following conduct is a violation of this section:
(1) The use or threat of use of violence or other criminal means to harm the physical person, reputation, or property of any person.
(2) The use of obscene or profane language or language the natural consequence of which is to abuse the hearer or reader.
(3) The publication of a list of consumers who allegedly refuse to pay debts, except to a consumer reporting agency or to persons meeting the requirements of section 603(f) or 604(3)1 of this Act.
(4) The advertisement for sale of any debt to coerce payment of the debt.
(5) Causing a telephone to ring or engaging any person in telephone conversation repeatedly or continuously with intent to annoy, abuse, or harass any person at the called number.
(6) Except as provided in section 804, the placement of telephone calls without meaningful disclosure of the caller’s identity. - RJinDenverRegent is getting more sneaky all the time. This time call came from 866-643-7657. The usual message from "Lisa" telling you HAVE to call John Taylor's office..file has come across his desk...blah....blah...blah.....
These are scum suckers that are looking for a quick buck and to get to consumers that aren't informed. Do not answer these calls!!!! As mentioned before, they buy OLD accounts from various banks and attempt to collect on them. This firm will attempt to call you from any one of many phone numbers to attempt to reach someone.....If you don't recognize a phone number, don't answer it.....- Caller: Regent Asset Mgmnt

- windy woodssame message about a file, etc. "John will be in the office until 7 PM".
- Caller: no name
- cincy-delhiA recorded message was left on my answering machine to call John Taylor at 1-866-852-2187 to discuss a file that had come across his desk. The recording did not specify or refer to a particular name or the reason. The assertive request to call the number was given twice. I will not call back. My number is on the do not call list.
- Caller: unknown
- Bradgulina replies to catIt is a collections agency
- SLPFor all of you claiming that they're taking you off their call list, I have a big, big surprise for you: they won't and they never will. Your only recourse is to file a lawsuit against them, or, ask for a new phone number from your phone service provider, which will cost you money.
They're listed as Regent Asset Management Solutions, which is in all likelihood a phony front for junk debt collectors. They aren't really looking for any one specific person, but are trying to get you to give them personal information.
I like to toy with them myself, suggesting Lisa and John are having an affair or that John is a closet-bound Nigerian homo, etc. and get a good laugh out of it before they hang up on me. It's been going on for a good year now. The last time I called them back I identified myself as John's gay lover and needed to talk to him about an urgent medical problem I just had diagnosed.- Caller: Regent Asset Management Solutions

- Cam Smithbogus collection - ghost debt. They turned a dead account for $40.00 into over $2500 they want to settle for $800. Call John Taylor.

- ptI got a call from this number with the same details asking me to call. It turns out it was left for a person that used to be at this number. This has occurred so frequently over the last five years that we have had this number, I've decided to finally file an official complaint through the attorney general of my state. If there are enough complaints, the AG's office will start an investigation. I encourage anyone is is getting repeated calls to fine an immediate and detailed complaint.
I also have stated to the company that we are on a do not call list and will pursue it through those avenues.
A final thing is to call US Bank and compaint, that is if like me, you don't have any outstanding obligations with them.- Caller: Regent Asset Management Solutions

- RJinDenverRegent is still at it. This time when they called it came from 999-999-9999. Again, these scum sucking bottom feeders continue to harass people regardless if you tell them no or not. Everyone who gets calls from them need to contact their local AG and file a complaint with the AG. If enough file complaints as said before, something then may happen to stop the harassment.

- ravn replies to DDLove this! Thanks.
- PigmanI also got the call that came from 999-999-9999 they left a message saying I need to call John Taylor at 866-852-2187 because of a file delivered to his office, and saying he will be in the office until 7 pm.
If they did not use a generic recording and actually indicate who they are trying to reach and the nature of the call then maybe I might actually call them back. But I would call them collect from a pay phone ☺- Caller: ???
- max| 1 replyPlease everyone...report this number to www.donotcall.gov! Bombard the government with complaints.
This is a bogus call. It is not a collection agency. These are scammers and they must be stopped.
This stupid call keeps coming to my unpublished hospital work cell.
I am as po'd as i can be. This is wrong on so many levels.
Report them! - DewGirl replies to maxI also got this call, But weird thing is, They are getting really good because they called from a known number from my family. I don't know how they did it, but the call came from a family members number but without their name showing. They hacked my cell I assume?
- Jeff ErdieA woman who identifies herself as Lisa says she is calling from the office of John Taylor about a file that has come across his desk and it's important that I call him back. She does not give her last name or mention my name, a company name, or say what this is in regards to. I've been getting this every other day or so for about 2 months. The name she asks me to call is 866-852-2187, which is not the number call came in on. The incoming call number changes.
- Caller: Office of John Taylor
- BlackthorneWas called on my cell phone, the number of which only my husband and mother have. I have had the same number for 8 years. The message left from someone calling herself "Lisa," claiming that a Mr. John Taylor has "a file" on me and that I needed to call him back at this number. They never addressed me by name.
I do not know any John Taylor, and after googling, I have seen this is supposedly a collection agency. Interesting, since I have no debts and everything is paid off.
I smell a scam.- Caller: Unknown
- same thingI just received to call from a Lisa, saying that I need to call a John Taylor back with the number 866.852.2187. Because a file was left on his desk. I'm glad I did some research first. My creditors don't have this number either.
- Fred BloggsThanks for the info - I received 2 calls from these folks and wasn't sure if it was a scam
