The caller 1-866-852-2187 is Regents Asset Management. It is a collection agency that does not bother verifying it's phone numbers before it starts harassing people. They called me looking for a Gabriel Adam Moore and swore up and down that this was his number, well I've had this number 9 years and have never heard of him.

They continued to call me 16 times in one day until I finally faxed them a copy of the lease, a do not contact letter and a copy of the phone bill in my name to show that no such person was ever associated with this number.

The way that they harass people is criminal

I called them back and they claim to be representing Verizon on a phone bill I owed them a couple of years ago; I haven't yet checked the facts, but the numbers sound about right. I asked him if I can pay in 10 days, and he was very courteous, respectful and said yes. That will give me time to verify that these people are who they say they are. It's a tactic I'd suggest anyone who actually calls them might use, as it will cut down on things like the collector becoming insistent and agitated, and also give you time to check these people out since some of the above entries sound a bit discouraging.

I work at an in-home care agency.  We have about 300 employees.  They have been calling and leaving messages that we need to call them.  I did and was treated very disrespectfully by the agent I spoke to.  He refused to remove our number from the list and demanded to speak to the CEO of our business.  I refused and he said that he would continue to call.  I am refering it to our legal department to see what can be done.

Call just came in to call some office about a file. I wait to speak with a rep. I then ask what the name of the business is and what they do there. He then told me the same names as listed above but refused to tell me wht type of company it was. I mentioned the FDCPA. He immediately said they have the wrong number and hung up. Verrrrry shady?

Just got a call yesterday on my WORK phone ... seriously, I could get in trouble for that!  This guy always says (arrogantly) - "this is John Taylor and I have a file that was placed on my desk.  You need to call me back to discuss this matter further ... "
He used to call my cell phone, but I never answered it.  Although I do owe some people money, I won't be calling this scammer back!

got a call saying "call me immedeately 866 852 2187 I will be in my office all day" Googled the nr and as usual it was a caller trying to get info.

8668522187 is a collections company.  They called me for a Bank of America Debt when I closed a bank account in negative status due to fees only.

This F***ER keeps calling my cell and now he's called me home once or twice. I tried calling back and it just kept ringing and ringing. Now some WISCONSIN # is calling and leaving a message saying I need to call back and talk to a "John Taylor"! It's getting really irritating!

I also got a call from this # from Jack...When I called the # the I asked who called me and why..The guy told me they are Regional Asset Managment group..I then asked for his name and he hung up on me..
Think this is a scam to try and get folks to pay money they don,t owe...
The are most likley not even in the USA...
If they call you try to get as much info as possible, and then call the local Da's office or at least the BBB....

This guy stated that his secretary has been trying to contact you, so I'm calling regarding information needed for your file??? This person left a message on my new land line...be aware!

I got the "call John Taylor at 866-852-2187" call last night and I don't owe anybody a damn thing, other than my mortgage, which I've NEVER fallen behind on -- I've got a FICO score over 800! I am in the process of refinancing my house, so wonder if they somehow got my number that way. Don't fall for this, it has to be a scam.

Here is John Taylors cell number, 702-514-3008, call him all times of the day and night and tell him you have his file on your desk and he must call you back, and that you will be at your desk all day.  I do not even deal with US Bank and has my number

The same msg. was received at my place of work (an Attorneys office), I phoned back, told them to remove the number from their list, as it could be in relation to any number of clients, and they say they have done so.

Hopefully the calls stop.

The most suspicious statement that 'regent asset management solution' gave me was that they where going to charge me on my prepaid card and they would not give me a statement or receipt on the account that I'm trying to pay off. all they told me it was with my old bank. and the most frightening thing is that they are not the only ones trying to collect on the same account. who is real and who is not?

I have been receiving messages from "John Taylor" stating that his secretary has been unable to reach me. Please call back 866-822-2187, he will be in the office all day.

I called the number, it is an asset management co. I asked what they were inquiring about as they continue to call my fax number... the gentleman said he would remove my number that it was dialing a wrong number

Got the same call from John Taylor saying that he has been trying to call me and will be in the office all day. Please call as soon as possible.  I owe no one any money so I wonder how he got my number because it is unlisted. I live in Spokane WA

I just got this call--thanks for the information everyone.  The caller said her name was Lisa and gave me the 1-866-852-2187 number to call John Taylor back.  I sent them to VM becuase the caller ID was a 1-877 number.   I know my husband and I don't owe any money anywhere, so I'm not going to bother calling Mr. John Taylor back.  Also, I'm in Ohio, so the scam looks to be all over the place.

I got this message 6 months ago and actually called back. They said they were looking fior Carl _____. That was it until I received the same message on Tuesday. I'm not answering them. Let them come and take me to jail, at least I'll get free meals!

It's a collections agency, It needs you to verify that they got the right person, once you do, they will never EVER leave your phone number alone.
I have NO bills, I moved and left a girlfriend of mine in NH to pay the last of our bills and she took the money and bought stupid stuff with it. Then the phone calls started, once you pick up and say YES to being the person they are looking for, they will not stop calling. Don't even say "He's not here right now." just say "I never heard of anyone by that name, sorry." or if they keep calling, tell them in your best crying voice that "I'm so sorry, that was my brother(or sister) and they just passed last month." They'll get a deceased stamp on that file right away and it'll go away AND you'll make them feel like crap. I payed all debts owed and they still call so once you verify that you KNOW the person or worse, ARE the person they are looking for, that's it, you're screwed.
