- carolI have received calls from"Lisa, who is calling form the office of John Taylor about a child who is referred to this office. I need to call him back by 7:00 PM." This makes no sense in any aspect of my life. I do not know this person and am tired of the phone calls!
- Caller: Jaon Taylor

- Jessica replies to Christine in Portland, ORI got the same message. I will not call back! If they happen to call back and I answer, I'll use that really good one I saw on here. I'll tell him Iam an FBI agent and demand to know how they got my number. Hahahahaha. Or if worse comes to worse, I'll tell them that they are tryimg to contact my cousin who has passed on.
- FNC replies to andrewI GET THE SAME DARN MESSAGE ALMOST DAILY-IT DRIVES US CRAZY!!!
- DrNicoleThis is a phony collection agency. Got a very vague voicemail from Lisa telling "you" to call John Taylor right away. Number does not match the one on the website. I have been working VERY hard to clean up my credit and pay off debt for the last 6 months, I am inclined to believe that they got my number from another equally shady CA. Found their website (http://www.ramsna.com/) which tells me that I do not have an account with them. SCAM!
- Work phoneanother call. im going to call back.
- Caller: John Taylor
- IamONtoYOUSCAM! Same message, at least twice a month. These people are trying to rip off people, no doubt! Do NOT fall for it! Report them!
- JuPMod of NJBeen getting these automatic calls once in awhile in the past two months. They never mentioned me by name. Only say, "This is Lisa from John Taylor Office. You need to call him regarding a file he received." I was suspecious, given I know I not ever in debt or in trouble in any way. I did a Google search and found out it's a scam. I hope the Feds get these idiots soon.

- BenApparently these people are not only rude jerks but they like to hang up on you when you call. After reading these posts I decided to entertain them and called back. Long behold they are looking for a Monica Brody....well my name is Ben and I don't know a Monica. Apparently they also send out letters...something else for us to throw away.

- heatherI was told to call 1-866-852-2187 and ask for a John Taylor. I call this number and got Pizza Hut Wing Street in Arlington. Called the caller ID number 1-877-390-0552 and asked for John Tayler and was told this was a ficticious name. They hung up on me when I asked why his name was left on my phone to call then?

- ShirleyWe have been getting calls from a Lisa leaving the message to call John Taylor at the 866-852-2187 phone number. This has been going on for about a month or two. Today I got home from work and finally decided to call them back. I told the lady that answered that I had been receiving calls regarding a file that had been referred to them and was told to call John Taylor. She said you mean you got a call today. I said yes. She said well I show that your number has been removed from the list today (very convenient). I told her that if I got anymore calls from them that I would be taking action against them but it won't surprise me if my number conveniently gets back on their list. I have no clue why they were calling. She said that were working for someone by the last name of Warren.

- GI have been getting calls from this bunch, I got tired of it and called them back. They said they were looking for Evan (pronunciation sounded feminine) Guzmann. I think I remember other people saying they had got calls from Regents looking for the exact same person.
They said they would take the number off their files.
Has anyone else who called them and they said they would take their number out of their files, actually got them to stop calling??
If I get another call from this bunch I am going to the cops for harassment. - kelly replies to Tabithaif you call back, tell them you keep getting a call from this number, and they'll stop calling.
- high schoolerI've received two messages from some chick who called herself "Lisa" in the second message to call Mr. John Taylor concerning a file in his office, and left the number 866-852-2187. Today I had a message from a man who did not identify himself, or use my name saying I had to call him back concerning a file in his office. He left the number 877-591-0433. I'm in high school, and don't have a personal bank account or any credit anywhere, so I can't imagine what it would be about. I'm glad I looked here first before calling back. I won't be returning "Mr. Taylor's" call.

- Tash B| 1 replyI got the first call from John Taylor ( said he was from Regent Asset Management) ( 866-852-2187) on Dec 1st . After I had 3 calls from this number on my caller ID I called the number back and got the number ( 866-809-6415 ) So I ask to speak to John Taylor - the guy who answered said John Taylor wasn't there but he could help me. So I proceeded to tell him that I knew he was a "scavenger collection agency" and was trying to collect a debt that I no longer legally owed. ( the debt in question was over 7 years old and had fallen off my credit report by the first call ) I told him if he called me again I would turn him into the State of MN Attorney Generals Office. Well I filed the report with the Attorney General anyway because they were a scam. I filed the report on Dec 6th 2009. The Attorney General's office sent letters first to the address that the guy gave me - and got no response. Then they found an address in Colorado for Regent Asset Management - they sent 6 letters to that address and all went unanswered. Then finally on March 16th 2010 someone responded to the complaint - only it was a D Scott Carruthers who claimed to be a lawyer. His address is 8448 Katella - PO Box 228 - Stanton CA 90680 Phone 714-761-3976 FAX 714-761-1754. This is what his letter said.
Dear Ms. Waltz ( the MN attorney General's Asst )
As the corporate attorney for Regent Asset management , I have been asked to respond to the complaint filed by XXX XXX . Please accept my apology for the tardy reply as I have been out of the office for over three weeks and am just getting around to all my correspondence.
Our records show that XXX XXX had an account with XXX in the amount of XXX that Regent is attempting to collect. I have instructed my client to cease and desist from any and all collection efforts directed to telephone number XXXXXXX.
Furthermore as an accommodation to all parties, there will be no more collection efforts from my client whatsoever. However, if XXX XXX wants to deal with me directly and reach an acceptable resolution of the debt, I will be glad to take his calls. I can be reached at 714-761-3976. Sincerely, D Scott Carruthers.
This is the first time the name D Scott Carruthers was mentioned and in order to get to the top of this scam the MN Attorney General had to send letters every 2 weeks for over 17 weeks. The only way to end this scam is to file a report with your states Attorney Generals Office ( Consumer Fraud division)- Caller: Regent Asset Management
