- LDOI have been getting calls from this number daily and once in awhile they will leave a recorded message about collecting a debt and I need to call and any information obtained would be use to collect the debt. I am late for the firts time on my wamu mortgage and sent them a certified letter saying I would only communicate through email so I will have a record. They will have to modify my loan before I resume making payments. As many of us, my house is worth 55% less than I paid for it 3 years ago and only want them to reduce the interest rate not the balance. More information than you needed Im sure.
- Deborah IlerI keep getting calls from this number (around three per day) for about a year now. They ask for for a Sonia Rodarte whom is not at this number. They will not stop calling me even tho I tell them that the person they are looking for is not Sonia. They have left recorded messages claiming to be Washington Mutual. I have asked and asked them to quit calling here and they won't.

- ChrisThese people are crazy devils. Yes they are from WaMu and yes my mortgage is through them but my payments are automatictly deducted through my checking account. How can I be late?
I get calls 7-8 times a day and most times when I answer no one is on the line. Sometimes it only rings once or twice. Even on weekends they call.
Yesterday some asian guy called and I YELLED for him to quit harrasing me and he laughed at me. I do have caller-ID so most times when I see that #, I don't even answer. Who can they be reported to? I'm at my witts end.- Caller: Washington Mutual
- Stuart FowleThis number has called me at least eight times now and I've answered four times. Each time they ask for someone named Monica, I tell them they have the wrong number and ask to not be called again. But they keep on calling.

- MarcelTHis is SUCH a harassment! I keep getting calls from this number, which is some kind of collection agency/call center in the Philippines. Tonight , (Aug.5, 2009) I got 4 calls from them! I did not answer the first 3 and they left messages each time on my cell phone! I called Wamu Cust service, they said they will stop the calls for 30 days and to make it permanent I need to send in a fax requesting a cease to telephone communications. The Mortgage is not late until the 16th of the month and they start calling about the 4th! My account is current and pretty much always has been except for 2 late payments in the past.
I really never cuss, but this is one instance where I just have to yell out: WTF Wamu/Chase!!!! This is such bad business and should be illegal!- Caller: Wamu
- Lee AldridgeAutomated message that says if you don't hang up you have admitted you are
the party they are trying to reach. Then they leave their message, which
is their phone # (866)WAMUYes (926-8937)
We have been receiving calls from them for weeks or months but not usually
more than 3 a week. Do not have a loan with Washington Mutual.- Caller: wa-mu
- ReXI'm getting this on an office line that used to be someone else's. Comes through as 9118669268937
Mostly I'd get silence, hang up and then another silent call. Once I did get a robo message saying to wait and then more silence.
Also, reading through the comments: Mr nigthmare above can't even spell his name nor the word "consequence". If this person is representative of what you're dealing with here, then folks, don't worry so much. If you are late, then I have no sympathy. Debt is debt. BUT there is a limit to the collection process, and you can stop harassment. Check out www.fair-debt-collection.com
Good luck y'all. - mr debt coi work for this company, all you have a debt wich is due since the first, and we will continue calling you as much as possible! jajajajajajajaja
- JenYou know I make my payment every month...but what is funny is that they call every day 2 or 3 times a day. At this point I just answer the calls and I am very difficult. I think it is funny!!!
- Lindarepeated calls from this number, but never anyone there.
- KenI've have been called twice a day Monday thru Friday between 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. for the past 4 months. Since, I turn off my answering machine. They are now calling me 6 times a day on the weekends. They say that my account with Washington Mutual is one month late. I have no such account. However, my ex-wife does. We have been divorced for 20 years now. It does not matter, they still call my number. They said the payment is one month late. I told them, if the payment is late they can foreclose on the property. Their answer was we don't do that. When I finally lost it, and I began using profanity. They then hung up on me.
- HawksGot a call from this number and Googled it to see your comments.
I have a Wamu/Chase mortgage, but it is current. In fact it is ahead of current as I pay some principal down each month over and above the interest.
As for all you cretins that claim to work form these people, first of all, go back to elementary school and learn how to spell, and then come to my place where I'll personally be happy to rip your head off!!! - renter| 1 replyI didn't receive a call, but I received a suspicious looking typed note on my apartment door: At the request of Washington Mutual Home Loans, Inc, an independent field inspector called on you today. Please call our homeowners assistance dept. at 1-866-926-8937 or the Hope Hotline at 1-888-995-4673."
Judging by these responses, it looks a lot like a scam.- Caller: Washington Mutual Home Loans, Inc
- DawnThis number has called me 11 times within the last 24 hours. I will not answer the phone to an unknown number, and the messages left are static. Our mortgage is not through WaMu/Chase/Whoever, and we're never late for any credit cards. I'm not going to bother calling and picking a fight because it won't do any good. Isn't there a way to report this possible scam for harassment? This is getting old!
- Caller: WaMu Chase or Scam?
- stephanieI get every saturday a call from this number on my cell phone I have had this number for 3 years. They ask for someone I have no idea who that is. I tell them to stop calling and they call 3x more times later that same day. they call I don't answer it goes to my voicemail so they call right back again. It's so annoying I dont even have wamu
- Me tooI had several calls from this number over the course of three days. When I finally answered the phone, I had already checked this site and determined who I might be speaking to. The representative, Harvey, wasn't rude, but a bit uptight, especially when I warned him about harassing me since I had evidence that I had paid my mortgage at the beginning of the month. He still warned me that I only had three days to prove it (by mail) or it would affect my credit, and WaMu would be calling again. He went really crazy when he thought I was recording him. I wonder what would have happened if I were... I plan on going to my bank tomorrow to see what's up.
- Caller: Wa Mu (Chase)
- TI have received several calls from these people. I took them to court and I obtained a Federal Court Order for them (WaMu)to bring my account current. We provided all the necessary proof that all payments were made. They are now ignoring a Federal Court Order. They have also sent someone to my home who left a note on my door. I am going to a local branch with copies of the Federal Court Order. If I do not receive satisfaction, I have a lawyer who is ready to sue.
