This is Bells loyalty program for Internet. I simply called them back and told them to stop calling and gave them a piece of my mind. They said they will put it their records so they won't call again.

I called the phone number back and it was Bell.  I informed them that they have been calling constantly and I begged them with tears to stop harassing me. The guy was polite and asked if I was on Bell's no call list. I said that I asked Bell before to stop calling me, but I didn't know if I was on any such list.  He checked and said that I was not and so I asked him to submit my telephone number.  So tell Bell to have your telephone number on that list.  Oh, I just noticed that Henry Douglas said that he is on the no call list and he still gets calls. Oh dear, what can we do?

Leave a message.......OR stop these frequent interruptions. AND tell me who you are!!!!

5-6 time a day

We receive these calls on average around 5-10 times per day.   We never answer them,  blocking the number is the simplest solution, but nonetheless the calls are still incredibly annoying.  Recently I got great satisfaction simply cancelling our landline after decades.  The CRTC is a complete joke and their 'Do Not Call list' is a bigger joke,  our tax dollars just giving some morons 6 figure jobs to do what?, because they obviously don't address complaints affecting thousands, millions of us??   Bell is also a joke, they don't care one iota about the customer, only their profit and bottom line.   The most effective form of complaint is cancelling as many of their services you can live without and letting them know why you're cancelling.

Every day 3 or 4 time I get call from 1-866-988-8805 , I need to stop this caller calling my number

If you return this call, it does indeed connect you to Bell.  However, I spoke with them, and there is no record that Bell ever used that number to contact me.  It's some other group spoofing this number so as to appear to be legitimate.

I cancelled Bell today at 4pm after 15 years.   The first 5 years....  great service.   Great price.   The second 5 years....  Fine.   The last 5 years...  I could have bought a new car instead.  The call starts rolling in 1.5 hours later...  lol

Just got an automated call from the Heart and Stroke Lottery from 1-866-988-0885

1-866-988-0885  This number calls my house several times a day. No one on the other end says anything and they never leave a message. From what I see on the internet this is Bell. And funny thing, we just switched to Bell. But I can see us leave if this keeps up. We didn't have a home phone before and when we went to Bell they gave us a better deal with home phone than without. Why? So they bother us several times a day!

I rec’d a call on a Sunday; they woke me up and I could not even understand what the hell she was saying. I said if you’re from Bell Canada then why the fk can I not understand what you’re saying. She spoke so damn fast as it was like her tongue was on her palate the whole time. If I get another call I’m cancelling with Bell. My bills are paid on time and I don’t need them to fkn ruin my day of rest.

Tired of 1 866 988 0885 calling me everyday and never anwseriing the phone.

Unfortunately I got Bell again.I forgat why I quit them 7 years ago,.The crooks from India gave away my number to their compatriots in Toronto,and they were trying to scam me.Now I am back ,but not for long.

I'm moving, cancelled my service.  They called from this number.  I answered. They wanted five minutes of my time.  I did not have five minutes, but offered for them to call the next day, at the same time, and I would have five minutes.  The agent said ok, and we hung up the phone.  Then they called four more times.  Now they are blocked and will never get a single minute of my time, let alone five

For the last 7 days they have called 3x daily.  Luckily, I have VoIP telephony which allows me to manage inbound calls.  If I don't know the number, the call gets logged and automatically goes to voice mail (never rings the house).  As others have said, they never leave a message and I was shocked to see the amount of times this number appeared in my logs (21 entries).  I've now moved this number to my "blocked" list where it will no longer have access to my voice mail as it will simply be rejected.  If you are still on a standard home phone service, you should seriously consider moving to VoIP telephony (Internet phone).  It is satisfying to permanently block these type of harassing calls.

I have been receiving calls from this number for the past couple of weeks, they don't leave a message and when I answered nobody responds. There are pretty much harassing us.
