Called me to find out info on my bank card. They said to call them back  nope didn't do it.

Called the number on the back of my card - did NOT call the number that left the message. My bank verified that this was a valid fraud alert number.

First, if you even get through to the fraud protection number on the back of your bank card, they WILL NOT HELP YOU EXCEPT to report a card lost or stolen. All other questions are for you to refer to your banking institution. If its a sat, sun. or a holiday, your screwed. tried every number i could think of and that i looked up.

The first time I got a call from this number, I selected the prompt saying I was not the person they were calling, and was the wrong number. After the 2nd time they called back I sat on hold for 25 minutes. Googled the number and it brought me here. Even though it said it was for a different person I still called my bank which has NO affiliation with it. And my account was fine.

they left a message on my work phone voicemail.  i was having problems with my card and thought it was a legitimate call but I didn't hear name of bank so I entered number in google and got this forum.  Thanks for the heads up!

What was the point of your reply? That person posted here 6 years ago, and unless you know for a fact that they will be stopping back will never see your reply.

I just got done speaking with this slimy telephone representative, who is a non-American. They asked me if I had my card I didn't tell him. They asked me to give my telephone number which I did. Bad mistake on my part. The moment I caught on was when they asked me how my name was presented on my bank card… I wised up, and hung up on them. People that try to victimize honest and innocent Americans should be lynched from a tree. Be placed in gas chambers and have lethal injections put to them. They should have their genitalia mutilated.

They also asked me if my card was a joint card. Be very careful of these people. They are no better than the criminals that are holding political positions in the Continent of Africa government.

Got a call from 877-253-8964 -  they said there was an issue with our bank ( which was a specific bank)  and asked by name to speak with my dad.   They also gave us a case number and repeated the phone number several times.  And gave us NO company name.

It’s not a scam—somebody charged hundreds of dollars to my acct, or they tried to, but were denied. Thank goodness. Called my bank first to make sure & they said phone # was legit. My bank has a warning on its website about fraud so that is why i called my bank or CU to make sure. I’m glad I did bc I was able to block my card and dispute the charges.

I received a voicemail from this number stating they were the fraud department for my bank and my debit card had been compromised. The message stated an account hold had been placed, requested a return call, and gave me a 10 digit confirmation code to reference when I called.  I was suspicious so I called my bank's customer service number. Sure enough my card had been compromised. This number is legit, so if they call at least call your bank to confirm.
