This collection agency called my phone and my mother's phone. Though they want to speak to me I told them they can no longer call my private cell phone number, and to contact me via written letter if they have a debt they believe they need to collect. The lady on the other end laughed and said she'd call me everyday she could, then hung up without telling me the agency she worked for. Come to find it it's World Net Recovery Systems.
I have shot off a cease and desist letter but something tells me they plan to continue harassing me.

I got a call, also on my cell phone. I also am at work.  I answered, and said "hello" many times until my neighbor at the cubicle next to me began to chuckle.  There was no answer from the other end, so I just hung up.  I am expecting a call from a debt collector, but if you're calling me and not saying anything.......you get the dialtone boo-boo.

Company continued to call dozens of times after I told them I was not Craig I had just gotten the number obviously they just makes calls even when they are not productive glad they do not work for me

I've gotten several calls from this person with the same message about acknowledging the problem by listening and that I had exactly 1 hour to contact her.  So I got the message 4 hours after she called and so I called her and thanked her for calling me so often and I understand she needs a friend however I have plenty of friends and really don't need anymore.  Told her if she needed me for anything she could mail it but she could no longer call me.  Again, I apologized for having too many friends and just couldn't slip in anymore at this time.  These people are driving me nuts.

I especially like the part "by continuing to listen you acknowledge you are this person". It's a recorder you moron; how stupid are you...
They are violating several Federal laws by leaving a name of debtor and that they are a debt collector.

They are a JUNK debt buyer - Most of the debts are probably out of statue anyway...
OR wait until they send you something in the mail and then send validation request via certified mail with return receipt... In validation request tell them not to call and can only communicate  via USPS...
After you get UR Return Receipt and they continue to call... Log every call with date, time, message, phone number(s), get an attorney. Each call can be worth $1,000 plus attorney fees...

Same thing here. I tried to tell her she had the wrong number and name. She has called more than once. Now she leaves messages about debt collection. This [***] should be happy she dosnt live within ass kicking distance. If she reads these posts she is acknowledging she has crap for brains and I would love to seperate the two from one another.  I respect anyone who wants to work but please learn how to talk and deal with the public.

On further review of the company they like to not pay their share of taxes. I found out they are located in Florida, but filed for LLC in Delaware--a low tax state. Try to rip the American people off WRS. Try pissing off everyone you call and annoy. This operation has just begun.

I have a hard time believing that they call the last listed number for a person. I've had this phone number for almost 10 years. If they're just now trying to collect a debt from "Huang Ha", it's a little late. They somehow always manage to call me when I'm in class or at a meeting and it's driving me up the wall. Every single missed call I have is from them.

So people tell me if am wrong okay. A lady calls from this number asking me if my last social security numbers and I ask, what is this call about before I verify any numbers. Is this call for sales, for dept collection, for whatever? She says by law she is not suppose to say what the calls for unless I verify my last social security numbers. I said hell no, by law am not suppose to sharing my identity without not knowing what this call is about, for all i know it could be a scammer got hold of my number.

So did i do wrong or what? Coz she made me mad.

Second call from this number on 26September2011 wanted to know if I recieved material mailed to me.

Name of the caller gave was Anthony Harris.  He said material was mailed to a Post Office Box.

Mr. Harris called a few days ago and asked me to verify account number and to provide my mailing address.  I refused.

Cindy told my wife it was a personal matter. I had already logged on here and knew it to be a scam. I did however call back just to stir the pot. She had a new wrinkle. After asking me to verify the number she had called and behaving as if she was having trouble hearing me, she asked for my SSN. I refused to give it naturally but asked what four last digits she was checking on. She gave a me four that were probably random so I said "not even close" and hung up on her.

These poor people are to be pitied if that is the only line of work they can get

I received a call from a person named Anthony from WRS Debt Collection.. He asked for a Ryan i stated he had the wrong number. He then replyed that I had just varified my last four digits of my ssn, I told the man he had the wrong number to which he became rude and loud. I ask for his first and last name. He told me Anthony with WRS, I asked for his last name and he hung up...

I'd like the cell phone...

I'm getting the same message.  They always leave a message on the machine but when I actually pick up the phone they don't answer.

It is obvious you are all DEBTORS that we are looking for!!  It is people like you the reason we have DEBT collectors.  You open up bank accounts to cash your STATE CHECKS, then  when your money runs out you do NOT close the account properly!!! If you had paid the small over draft fee in the beginning we would NOT HAVE to call you!!!!  Anyone with half a brain knows that if you pay the first over draft fee (some banks will waive the fee one or two times a year) the amount would not have grown to such an enormous amount!  You are RESPONSIBLE for paying your DEBTS!  Grow up!  Do the Right thing!
