The Do Not Call list is for telemarketers, not debt collectors. If you owe a debt they have every right to call you and try to collect that debt. Sucks, but such is life. :( They do not however have the right to harass you or threaten you in any way.

They are very aggressive and demand that we pay for a satalite TV dish. We have never had a satalite TV dish. I called the satalite TV co. and they have no record of us.

Don't even pick up the phone. The caller thinks we are stupid but we are NOT . The caller does not leave their name but just the number. You don't know them, only answer to people you know. These callers are just as bad as the illegals in our country. My bank warned me not to either talk to them or give them any personal information. Once they get your personal information, look out!!  These calls can be very annoying. Congress could do something but they do not. What do they care? If the callers are debt collectors for credit card companies, we don't owe them anything, we bailed them out remember?  Change your phone no. and see that it is unlisted. They prey on certain people such as the elderly or people with some sort of dementia. Good Luck.

just know it is a third party scumbag- tell them this...I DON'T KNOW WHO YOU ARE OR HOW YOU GOT MY NUMBER...I DON'T DO ANY BUSINESS BY PHONE AND IF YOU AND I KNOW EACHOTHER ALREADY, PLEASE SEND YOUR REQUEST BY MAIL. I HAVE NEVER CONTRACTED WITH YOU, I HAVE NO INTENTION OF CONTRACTING WITH YOU. PLEASE MAIL ANY REQUESTS YOU HAVE AND I PROMISE I WILL RESPOND IN A TIMELY MANNER- THEN HANG UP! ...
When they mail you a letter, say essentially the same thing and close with confirmation that you have never entered into a contract with them nor do you intend to contract with them. Cease any communication with me!

They had been calling constantly and when I would answer no one was there. When I called them back I actually got to an operater quickly. They said I had an All Gate Credit card. I've never even heard of All Gate. When I told them I was a police officer and I wanted to speak to their fraud department miraculously at that very moment she told me there was a fire alarm in the building and that she had to go without ever giving me the number.

We did have an emerency and our building was evacuated recently.

    It was a legitimate emergency.

Does your being a police officer mean you are exempt from being contacted about a debt?

Does it mean you can try and intimidate peope who call you?

These people have been calling me non-stop looking for some guy, who I never even heard of. I have spoken to 3 different Representatives and ALL 3 of them were rude. They tell this is the first time the call me and to drop my attitude. With the last phone I told them I could prove by pulling my cell phone records how many times they called me and if they didn't stop I would sure for harassment, the guy told me good luck. I am sick of this!!  I do not know the company , but this is the number that shows on my ID 877-487-5583!!!

This agency has called me a NUMBER of times. Everytime I try to answer, no one says anything.

This morning I tried calling them back. A woman answered the phone, told me they were looking for a certain person. I told her that I was NOT that person, and she claimed to have taken my phone number off of their list/out of their records.

She was very polite, not rude at all. I will be interested to see if I receive anymore phone calls from them.

You also have the right not to talk to them.
You have the right to tell them to kiss your @#$%$#
They can sue you but remember they have to PROVE their case in court in order to collect a penny from you.
Still have my signature on that credit card application from 24 years ago??
