JUST WHEN I THOUGHT THEY WERE A SCAM I GOT A WAGE GARNISHMENT AT WORK FOR $1200 WHEN I COULDVE PAID $300 AND GOT THIS TAKEN CARE OF.....WOW......I GUESS EVERYTHING YOU READ ONLINE ISNT TRUE........WTF!!!!!!

I find it awefully funny that ONLY the POSITIVE feedback comments are ALL in caps lock!  Hmmm, same person?  I THINK SO!

GOT A CALL AT WORK FROM THIS NUMBER. WASN'T AT MY DESK REC'D THE MESSAGE FROM A COWORKER WHO TOOK THE CALL AND INFORMED ME THAT THE CALLER COULDN'T UNDERSTAND THAT IT WASN'T ME ANSWERING BECAUSE SHE WAS BEING TRANSFERRED TO MY EXTENTION

I got a message from Mrs. Norwood too. Claiming to Garnish my wages do to a pay loan. She ask for me to call back to 877-601-5871 ext 3000. Oh And good Luck why would she say that. I've been dealing with these people for about 2 years am so tired. Don't give them any information Don't waste your time, worries.

I received the same call telling me that  a wage garnishment in my name is going into effect tomorrow....couldn't tell me anything gave me a balance that I owe 2200 but couldnt tell me for when and where....they had all of my information too....phone they told me to call was 877-601-5871 ext 249...said that the only way to take care of this was settlment but couldn't tell me the amount...I was freaking out because I thought that the only way to garnish someone was if they had a judgement, which they dont and they claim that I was sent letters to my address from a collection company...I asked how to contact this company direct and they told me unfortuanely there is no way to reach them...when I called them back it was a ms jackson that answered and the company that this gentlemen works for is paydayloan recovery group...i told him that I had received calls like this before and they were scams...and he sounded like he was ligit but I feel better now that I see all of this replys are here.....so is this really a scam and not to worry about it

This outfit has called me 2 times saying I owe a payday loan debt and will settle for $300. I told them I need a document in writing stating what the debt it about.  Denise said she can't send me anything, but they need me to pay $300 to get the garnishment lifted. I told her I wasn't going to pay anything, I don't owe anything and unless you can send me something in writing, get lost! (she hung up). I received a second call the next day at work asking me if I had thought about how I could pay them. I told her that I gave their number and information to my attorney and he will be contacting you. She said "did you file bankruptcy?", I said, "None of your business". She then said she is submitting the wage garnishment and to have a nice day! These people are freak-in idiots and believe me, they are monitoring this site and trying to combat all the negative comments about them. When you see a comment that says they are great and professional, flag it!!! It amazes me that the law has not shut them down yet! Do not give them any information about you, every time they call, let themselves introduce, then hang up and log every call you get. It is funny how they used to use East Indian people and now they have American women calling for them..very scary that our own people are willing to do this..sickens me...

This  company had the nerve to call my husbands work place to leave a message on the general line that we were being sued for a loan  from 16 months ago that we never paid. No money was ever recieved from PayDay Loans so I'm Just waiting for them to call me again. I got alot of choice words to use LOL

I just received a call from this number it has been calling and not leaving a voicemail. Today some named Ms Reese left a message saying they were going to garnish my wages and suspend my drives license in the state of Nevada. I no longer live in that state. I thought there was a law about collectors making threats?

I recieved a phone call from Ms Shepard 877-601-5871, she stated they are going to garnish my wages because I defaulted on a pay day loan. She asked me to settle for $300 today or if I wanted to set up some type of payment arrangement they would need a visa or mastercard to hold the acct so it would not proceed to garnishment....
Is this really a scam? I've read all the inquires about this... Its got me worried. I'm a single mother and can not afford a wage garnishment.

I got a call from 630-486-1900 from a Ms.Gillmore (American accent) said to call back on 877-601-5871ext.265. She said that shewaswithPayday Loan Recovery Group that i had payday loan from 4/2011. I checked mybank statements and I never received a loan & told her to send via email the paper work  So far I haven't got anything, just another scam..  I also calledLisa Madigan's office the
IllinoisStates attorney and they have no record of this being a licensed collection agency,  I'm filing a complaintform on these people.  Now they are using Americans to scam us.  She called yesterday & left a voice mail on mycell phone but i'm not calling her back. i also told the state'sattorney's office they had all my information, ssn#, dl#, bank's name & checking account #, he said that theysell this information to thesescum on the internet. He said never give any this infor on the internet, the hackers just loved to get this.

I just got a call from this number, Is it legit? I read the comments below but they all look old. I do owe some money but I dont want my dr lis to be suspended and to have my wages garnished. I dont wanna call back if its a scam but I will talk to original company and see if I can make arangments to pay them back. I am scared. any help would be appreciated.

Melissa, have you received any paper work in the mail? I have had my wages garnished before several years ago, and the process here in Maryland is simply this....you receive a notice in the mail to appear in court for judgment and after you reach an agreement and pay monthly on that judgement, if you FAIL to follow the agreements, ie miss payments then AFTER that, the judge will render a decision to garnish wages and you'll receive a notice from the courts of them doing such.  

I too have received a call from a Ms. Weber from PDLR Group today stating that "I needed to call her today because she is with a recovery department and she just received my name to have my garnish wages".  I am NOT returning her call, and not even thinking about it.  There are steps one takes when garnishing wages, and this is NOT one of them. Now if this turns out to be legitimate, then I will go to court when I receive paperwork and not a moment sooner.

got a phonecall from this number also. Please becareful with this company and report it do not give any information to them its a total scam. Change your bank informatiom whatever they have.

haha what a load of BS!! I got the same call saying I owed over $1000 but they would settle for $301.  The guy was named Brian Westbrook.  He had a low grumbly voice and was quite convincing...jerk!!  When I later typed in "Brian Westbrook" on the internet I found that "Brian Westbrook" is a porfessional football player.  This guy wasn't even creative when coming up with with a false name.  Gosh he even said to me that he promised this wasn't a scam when I questioned him.  I seriously don't know how this can be legal.
