I got the same call from these people and I feel the same way. I told them I will not pay until I recieve something in the mail and still have not. Not just going to give my credit card info over the phone!

I received a call from this number and almost didn't answer it!  Now I wish I hadn't!  I spoke with a gal by the name of Eve and she said that if I didn't attempt to make a payment on a bad check I had written there would be an arrest warrant taken out
on me!  And then a Court Date where I would be sued!  And she wanted my address and phone number no less!  My address is on my checks and somehow she didn't think about that!  And how she got my phone number I'll never know!

The calls stopped as suddenly as they started!

I wondered the same thing!  How did they get my cell phone number??? And I haven't had a land line in many years!

You would not know anything about the truth!  I'm sure you are associated with the law firm, by the way you are talking! Get yourself a real job and stop trying to scam students who are trying to get an education, maybe you should look for a diploma!!

The Company Law Offices of Crystal Moroney shows up on my credit report.  I've never seen a scam show up a credit report, so you might want to check your credit report and see if they show up.  I have emailed them asking for proof of debt.  Depending on the outcome of the email will depend on if I print the emails and send them to the credit bureau for removal.

First, I want to say that it *is* possible that you actually have an unpaid debt, probably minor, and if that's the case you need to get in touch with the originator.

But everything about this "law office" is completely and utterly fraudulent. I looked up all the various names or pseudonyms associated with these losers on lexisnexis ('Rephen' was particularly fruitful...) and there are hundreds of lawsuits against them for FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act) violations. They lose these cases every time. "Stephen Krauss" is not registered attorney. Based on their participation in this thread, I think it's pretty obvious that anybody associated with this scam is way too stupid to be a practicing attorney.

I urge you to contact the Federal Trade Commission and report them.

They called and said that i owe $2000 from a book that i have not return to a college library. They asked me to pay today or they will send to credit reporting. They told me to pay with money-gram from CVS today! I am glad I have not done that. Thank you all!
