Got a call today on my cell in Toronto but I didn't pick up. They didn't leave any voice message.

Rogers has been calling nonstop for the past several weeks.. at one point, I even had a third party calling on behalf of Rogers (they gave my phone number out to this third party).  These calls are all from an automated system that calls all their customer numbers, and when one connects, it gets sent to a sales agent.  I called them back and told them to remove my number from their list and they complied.....

somoene posing as Rogers, as im sure its wasnt rogers, called my workline saying that our internet was infected with a virus and we would be shut down in 2 horus unless the virus was removed. It said press 1 to speak to somone about removing this virus, im at work, so what the hell, i presed one. a strange voice kept repeating, 1... 1,..., 1...,1..., after about a minute i hung up. i know it sounded very suspicious but i wanted to see what happend. perhaps they were infecting our phone line or something!!!

The same thing happened to me. I got a message from Rogers saying I have a virus and I need to speak to them about this. I found it suspicious but did not return thier call. hmmm....

It's from Roger's.  They left a voice message.  I had reported a problem and they were calling me back to report that the problem has been resolved.

It is Rogers. They just called me and left a message that a technician is coming to install something on Monday. Nothing too exciting.

Roger's is also sending text messages over and over again to users of the HTC Dream phone, trying to sell them some kind of upgrade so that you can have a better access to using 9-1-1. Baloney!!!!

My daughter used my Dubai phone to call this number to try and change her phone plan while we were on holiday in Tanzania and they kept her on the line for 31 minutes between the automated part and talking to an agent.  $75 later don't think it was worth it.

1-888-764-3771 just called me to tell me my computer is infected with a virus and they're closing my internet connection. Lol wtf?!

Just wanted to update everyone..

I called Rogers and it was indeed them calling. I use IRC as part of my job and according to Rogers the copy of mIRC that I had was infected with a worm bot which was why they were going to cut my internet off.

I got a call from the number. It was a reminder that a technition will be coming to setup my Rogers service at my new house in 3 days. They are correct. Got the call at 11am on a Saturday.

Rogers just verified - written on my account. DO NOT CALL. DO NO TEXT unless a billing issue. The stupidest part [besides we work NIGHTS] is the call is customer service or their [***] contractor in BC calling to tell us that they think or last issue of several weeks ago is solved. Unbelievable. Household vote is 3/4 to dump Rogers for Bell, gotta work on #4 still.

Phone Registry has a condition in that if you have does business with someone in the last 12 months they are free to call you...

This number called me on my cell and I didn't want to use up my cell airtime so i did not answer.

1-888-764-3771 has been calling my cell phone (which is with rogers) for about a week now. I have never answered because i thought it was a telemarketer. Its apparently Rogers calling but i've never answered the call and they just keep calling me... sometimes 3 times a day.  fml

had a similar call
phoned by an actual person - perhaps a computer disguised voice - had a deep voice
said he was from rogers and i had infected their computers with a virus
not too happy about a 3 am phone call
called back rogers and they had no record of problems

I am waiting for rogers to cut me off, it was suppossed have happened already and they are still calling me and bugging me
