Just got a call from this number. Did not answer. It went to voice mail where I ended up listening to 1 minute of no one talking and what seemed like kids playing in the background. If this is Rogers, they have no reason to call me as I am no longer one of their customers.

I just received a call from this number, I didn't answer. They left a message. It was Rogers, following up on a 3rd party charge I had on my account.
They were informing me that they were able to reverse the $60 charge.
They also sent me an email to accompany the call.

This number has been calling my home repeatedly then hanging up. I'm not nor have I ever been a Rogers customer.

Someone called my husband from this # but when I called back it said the # is out of service.  The caller claimed to be from Rogers and asked for birthdates, phone numbers etc. and that service would be down.  Dumb Dumb Dumb!  Rogers told me its a fraud scam.  WTF!!  Told hubby never give out my info to anyone.

Someone posing as Rogers Communication called from 1-888-764-3771, but we have no service whatsoever with them. I've also received a few other calls for the past week from 647-776-8790 posing as Rogers Communication.

Fadulently billing VISA card with 165 CAD with 888-764-3771 as billing info.
All fake!

Your phone provider has a Call Block Service , at extra cost of course.

ITS NOT ROGERS !!!!!  Must be a new scam.  Rogers Number is 888 ROGERS 1 -> 888 764 3771.    The number that is calling all of us  - its 746 3771 - very similar, so people are familiar with it ( people think its rogers ).  Every time you answer, it might be billing you !!!  DO NOT ANSWER - check to make sure it is Rogers calling you.  Its called me numerous times, even leaving a message about problem with the Rogers cable box - I do not own a cable box !!

Automated Rogers Message stating my schedule appoint for tomorrow. All good.

Got a call from this #. Did not answer. No message left. I hit re-dial and an automated voice said "this 800# is no longer in service, for the new 800# press 1 at a cost of $3.49."  I just hung up.

Called a few times. Finally left an automated voice message reminding me I have a technician coming in a couple days.

same number but said they were calling from Bell Canada promotions.   If the same number has also said they were calling from Rogers, obviously a scam.

This was not a Rogers call. The call was made from the US. Why would Rogers make a call from the US? The guy wanted to tell me that they were going to cut the service from 9 pm til 7 am and that they were going to send me a credit. But the guy wanted to have my personal info. I said: if you're calling me, you must have that information in front of you. I ain't gonna give you my info over the phone. He said you can call Rogers. I hung up and id just that to let them know some [***] had just tried to catch a fish but didn't ...

Just be smart people. If they're calling you, they must have the info. Don't just feed them the info.
Let them give it to you.

This is definitely rogers. When I call them I call 1888rogers1. I only found this page bcs I coildn't remember if it was 888 or 800.

They used to contact about home phone all the time, then one time I told them specifically to put it on my file that I do not want home phone and if that was to change I ensure that they will be the company I call. They haven't called me about home phone since. Once they have you on record saying to put it on your file they have to listen in fear of losing you as a customer.

However on a good note, once they called and I had an upgrade that allowed me to get all the same services but better and more options for less money than I was paying! They had a new deal that saves me $35 a month for bundling for 2 years. So if you plan on staying with them for that long, definitely worth it!

Not always the case for sure, but definitely worth it to answer the phone when they call. Just make sure if its something you are 100% sure you do not want to tell them to put it on your file. But the few times its a really good offer over writes any annoyances I had before.
