- I_heart_ScotiabankAwww look at you guys complaining about calls lol just be happy someone is actually calling you. And for the record Scotiabank's staff is obviously psychic, so they want to interupt "super time" because they love being told off... pfft
- Caller: Scotiabank
- Call type: Telemarketer
- BLP_GeoI_heart_Scotiabank, I'm guessing you're one of the sociopaths that runs this place?
- Caller: Scotiabank
- BLP_GeoI should rephrase: I sympathize with telemarketers in general, since they're just trying to make a living, but it really should be illegal for companies to employ these autodialers that call over and over and oover.

- GabyI'm 12 and I just got my cell a month ago but this number keeps calling me!! After a few times they asked for some guy name Ronald. This has been going on for a week or so and sometimes they call me like 5 times a day! Are they like stalkers or something??
- Caller: ???
- Gaby 2First of all, some random person calls. The first few times, no answer. The they ask for Ronald (i forget the last name --something weird i think--) with a Indian accent and then they call other times, no answer. Then they just called!!
FEBRUARY 17 2011 AT 6:30 approx and some guy answers and it sounded like he was at some public place because there was inaudible talking in the distance and the guy had a Russian accent. I couldn't make out what the guy was saying because his accent and because I was to busy trying to hand up (my parents (I'm13) said to not answer to that number anymore.)
ONE QUESTION: How did they get my number?? I've only had the phone for a month yesterday. I want to know why they are calling me and the Russian guy kinda scared me being that he's Russian (kinda racist comment-- sorry)- Caller: ?????
- Gaby replies to VvVThen we should go to the police about this or SOME type of law-enforcement because there is NO WAY that calling people on a do not call list is LEGAL
- CarlHere, it's four times per day. They're almost as bad as that [***] who keeps calling for BMO.
- Caller: Scotia Bank

- lolScotia was calling me twice a week befor from a different number trying to sell me life insurance I told them differnet stories about why I didnt want it mainly for entertainment, then i told them I couldnt afford it then the calls stoped. Now this number starts comming up but i rejected it 5 times now that I know this is the easy credit department I hope I can get a $1000000 line of credit. Scotia is the best.
- mike replies to Cellyou have to close your account and tell to every one ok.
- LorieI was getting the same calls as everyone else, and no messages left. So I called the number back and it is Scotia Bank Credit Services that were calling. I told them I don't have this credit card but my son has one. But I do all of his banking, due to he is in the Military. They just asked for my last name and postal code, and all the information came up for my son. The calls are for telling their customer that they have a new savings plan, that for then you make a purchase, it's rounded up to the nearest dollar and then put in a savings account for you. The credit card company for Scotia has no bank account access and would know if you have this plan already or what accounts you have. I just told them that he has this plan already. So, this is just a sales call for all Scotia Credit Card customers and nothing else. This is not a fake or a scam.

- solution replies to cdwI went to www.scene.ca and logged in with my scene card. Then I clicked on my profile, and edited my profile so that i was UNSUBSCRIBED to text messaging, telemarketing, mailings etc.
Hope this helps! - whatever95I get a call from them every freaking day!
- Scotiabanker| 2 repliesTrust me folks, we hate calling the same customer over and over!! And sometimes that is something we can't fix on our own so we have raised this concern to management that this is inapporpriate and ridiculous and we are currently looking into have this issue resolved. I've discussed this website with management as well so they can see how our customers are reacting, I know that this is unfair and not professional on our part so I'm doing my best to have them look into this. We are on a predictive dialer so it dials out to customers for us incase you all weren't aware of that. Also, for Scene clients being contacted by us, yes you can update ur communication preferrences at www.scene.ca or call the Scene department 1-866-586-2805 but you'll also need to ensure that your on Scotiabanks Do Not Call List, you can contact us with Scotiabank at 1 800 472 6842. In general, my suggestion is that if you are getting a call from us, please pick up because when you don't, we'll call back. Advise the Sales Rep that you want to be put on the do not call list and ask for their information (which will scare them to make sure you're on it) and or ask for their managers information as well and you can even go as far as to ask to speak to a manager to make sure your not harassed again. If you have any questions feel free to reply to this and heck if you want to tell me off too over it, by all means go ahead.
