When you call scammers back and enter your #, you are CONFIRMING your phone number and it will go on more and more sucker lists and you will get more and more junk calls.

Do you really think crooks will stop calling you when you call them back? LOL.

Called on my cell.  I saw it was from Toronto, and I did not recognize the number so I did not pick up.

I got a call from 9052974280, no one talks at the other end.

Has anyone figured out who this is? Very irritating and wish would stop harassing daily.

they must abide by the CRTC regulations and if you ask to be removed then they ust do so otherwise REPORT them and make sure to let them know that you will be reporting them

I just got a call and when I asked to take message they said it is CIBC calling on behalf of NCO I then asked why collection would be calling for my daughter they indicated they were not collection but it was a courtesy call.  I'm thinking they are either calling to sell her crap that they will never honour or they are calling trying to find out why my 19 year old daughter closed her savings account that had a few thousand dollars in it.  Perhaps she did so because CIBC sucks the big one!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hi people Yes these calls are irritating but they helped me out a lot.....also they sold me insurance and i cancelled according to their terms with in 30 days ,,,i got my money back aswell,,,,so that means they are not fake,,,,also if u dont want them to call u,,,tell them to put the no. and the people associated with that no. on DO NOT call list...they will do it,,,

LAstly they are NOT FAKE... discuss ur banking needs with them ,,, they will provide u better services than branch.....TRUST me !! just give it a shot...!!

Yes it is a CIBC number and if you call back they offer an option to remove your phone number from their list.

This is CIBC telemarketing.  They called me over and over.  By calling that number back, you can add your phone number to the "no-call" list.

received a call from this message and said from cibc credit card and wants to sell protection plan...but i told them i am busy that i will do it online

Getting daily calls from this number. Never bothered to answer.

You can call the number back and have your phone number removed from their calling list.  The number calling is for promotions for CIBC.  On a side note it says it will take approximately 30 days to remove your number from their calling list.  Hopefully it works.

they keep calling everyday, I CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE, i will cancel all my accounts with CIBC, I reported the number to the CRTC

they call every day and NEVER leave a message. How can I get them to STOP CALLING......????

This is a company that CIBC has outsourced their marketing to. They want to offer you to add insurance to your CIBC Visa. If you call the number you can have your number added to their internal DNC list. No point in complaining to the CRTC if you haven't done so, the national Do Not Call list does not apply to companies you do buisness with, who are offering add-ons or upgrades to your current account. They CAN call you to offer these services the national DNC list does not apply in this case, that's why they have an internal one if you call the number back.
