This is a telemarketing call centre. They called me trying to pitch a CIBC Group insurance plan...

Call the number back to hear the option to get your number removed from thier solicitation list.
If you have done business with CIBC you can tell them you don't appreciate their sales tactics next time you are in the branch.
The say it will take up to 30 days for the calls to stop.

they gave their client list to a telemarketing company? Who does that???

At least three calls were made to my home this month from this number with no message left.

They are telemarketers offering insurance and given our contact information from CIBC!  I'm sure no one gave CIBC my permission to solicite or sell my information.

They called without leaving a msg.  Report it, block it, and get them out.

Same as with others. I receive calls from this number a bunch of times every day. They never left any message. Just called me again and introduced themselves as CIBC, from a marketing dept, said have a very important message for me. I told I don't have time and hung up. Suppose they'll call again.

CIBC Insurance - you can add yourself to the Do Not Call List when you call the number back

PEOPLE if you have an account anywhere , read the fine print before you setup, chances are you waive the right to have them get your permission to give out your information.

i've been getting calls lately but no one says anything...they wait in silence and then hang up...and i just now used *69 to look up the number which they gave me-finally. It use to come up as private number.

i called them back a minute later and it said the number had been disconnected???

Who takes the time to do this? Losers.

No company name was given though when i got the number.

Continue to receive calls from 905-297-4280 - They never leave a message. When I call the # back, I get an automated response states "CIBC" press 1 for English for French press 2. I hang up.
DNC List - Phone Busters

CIBC telemarketing. Call the number back, choose language (1=English, 2=French) and then press 1 when the [***] says that "You might have received...". Then key in your phone number. Hopefully the [***] stops calling.

If you have a blackberry you can download free software and blacklist them from calling you. Any number that you have blacklisted will be immediately hung up on and they can't even get to your voice mail. This application also screens all toll free numbers. I love it, no one bothers me anymore since I got it.

I was called several times with no message from this number as well.  The number is based in Milton, ON (I too have a 905-297 #) and it was CIBC insurance soliciting to sell me insurance for a CIBC credit card I own.  

If you call the # yourself, you will have the option of placing your # on the CIBC "do not call list" which I confirmed with CIBC directly before diong so.  Since entering my # in CIBC'c do not call list, I've stopped receiving calls from this # all together.

they called me at 6:10pm. offered insurance for my CIBC Visa card. I hung up after listening to the first minute.

Just spoke to CIBC, seems they are a real company doing work for CIBC!

Gave CIBC a blast and will wait for them to phone back and will give them a blast too. So nice of CIBC to give my cell phone number out!
