All collection companies are annoying, have [***] working for them, etc.
    Just bite back.
You know for ten bucks you can have several skype numbers call one number, and ten bucks goes a long way when they won't pick up the phone for long.

They don't call me too often ;)
    Here's their craptastic website : http://www.partnersincredit.com/
Isn't Richmond Hill the ritzy end of T.O.?

The company is Partners in Credit in Richmond Hill. If you would like to make a complaint I contacted their Montreal office and spoke to a manager (1-877-677-4214 ext 222). I also contacted the Ministry of Consumer Services Consumer Protection Branch (1-800-899-9768) and they are sending me a complaint form so they can do an inspection.

Under the Collection Agnecy Act in Ontario it states:
    Section 22, (6), 6.:
Otherwise communicate in such a manner or with such frequency as to constitute harrassment.

And this is towards the debtor, a relative, a friend or a person they have mistaken to be the debtor.

    Know your rights!

I received a phonecall this morning from a rude lady who was a b**ch and demanding my mother's cell number and refusing to give any info regarding her call - as the words she used sounded like a credit card telemarketing call. I listened for any call center noises in the background and only heard atleast 2 people talking, so thinking it could be a legit extremely important call i broke down and gave the number. She left a voicemail on my mom's phone even then not stating any info as to what it was regarding -- just her name as Mrs. Dunn and to call her. Now im feeling really bad and stupid for providing it to her as i noticed this forum after I googled her local number she called from.

I was thinking of placing a complaint to the BBB about this but then thought maybe to wait it out until my mother actually talks to this lady to find out what its really about, considering it cant be anything legit as she called my mom by her soon-to-be-married name and not her current last name.

Does anyone know their "hours of operation" the website nor the rude ignorant lady mentioned them.

you realize when you "called his boss" you may have not been talking to an actual boss, manager, supervisor, etc.? Couldve been just someone who sat beside them. The call center i worked for was not like that but i do know alot of call centers pull that off and sometimes their companies dont mind it cuz it keeps the management off the phones and more time in their own work. Im not scrutinizing, im just putting it out there as a possible occurrence.

Someone named Angie called looking for someone who used to live with us.  She sounded polite and said she is from TD bank and wanted to know the new contact info of the person.  I told her I don't have permission to give out the person's tel. no. so she should just give me a number where she can be contacted.  She gave this no.: (905) 886 0555 ext. 2183.  When I googled the tel. no., I found out about this thread.

We live in BC and received a call from this company.  They asked for someone we know of but haven't seen for 15 years.  We have no idea where this person is and do not associate with them at all.  The man who phoned was polite enough, just a very strange phone call!  It's creepy that they would know that we know of this person.....

Called 10:06am today claiming to be a collection agency for TD Canada Trust. My roommate picked it up and started harassing. She played around with them, until it got worse. After an exchange of words, she hung up.

Obviously they were not a collection agency for any bank whatsoever at all. I'm going to my phone company to get their number permanently blocked!

Partners in Credit... they deal w/ bell and rogers wireless; aswell as RBC,BMO and possibly TD bank... I cant quite remember all the clients they deal with... but they do not have a law firm in their office.. so if they are saying a legal matter or calling from a legal office its all BS!!!

They have the nerve to call again. The same roommate answered the call, and they exchanged words once again; she hung up. They called back twice after the first call, but we never answered. Judging when I visited the first time and now, they might call us back within a month.'

I'm going to install a voice modem to my computer, and monitor these calls. These fraudulent debt agencies must stop!

I received a call from this number at 9:12am asking for someone I've never known. The man insisted I knew him and asked for my name. I refused and asked for his, which he never told me and kept insisting I knew the person. He then asked me if I had just woken up and started mocking me. I then raised my voice still insisting I had no idea who he was taking about. Then called be a bad boy and told me to go back to sleep. What a creep! He avoided every one of my questions and was extremely rude.

This number is for a collection agency called "Partners in Credit".  The man who called me today (at my workplace) is named Brian Singh.  He was extremely aggressive in trying to control the conversation and would barely let me get a word in edge-wise.  He was threatening in his tone, and I must say was a complete jerk.  He is attempting to collect on a closed debt account.  Beware!   I will be filing a complaint.

You don't want to block the calls. Take every one of them that you can and if you don't want to listen just turn down the volume or shut it out. By tying up their phone lines and their resources you reduce their profit. Don't get rattled. This is what they want. They have absolutely no power over you so stay calm, be polite, thank them for calling, let them know that you are looking forward to hearing from them again and don't make any arrangements or agreements and don't provide them with any information. Keep a record of every call, including the date and time, any names provided and what was said. File a complaint here. http://www.sse.gov.on.ca/mcs/en/Pages/Persona ... ncy_Rights.aspx
