I recieve a call from this company at LEAST 4x a day now. It's been going on for over a month. And now at this point ANNOYING!!!!! I understand what everyone else is going thru at this point!!! I dont even know what company this is!!! Which frustrates me even more than the calls itself. ya know? But I myself am a Bill Collector. I know the guidelines and regulations that MUST be followed. Some of these regulations are SUPOSED to be followed by telemarketers and surveys too. But for them to call ANYTIME AFTER 9:00PM (your local time) IS AGAINST THE LAW!!!!!!!!!!! This company as broke THAT particular law NUMEROUS times and should be prosicuted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Woman called me and said they were doing a survey on radio stations I listen to. Hesitant at first, but continued. 20 minutes later I had to hang up. Too many personal questions and they insisted they needed my address to send me something. I said I will not give the address. Then she asked if she can give me a list of addresses and for me to say if it's the one. That's when I got angry and told them that this call has ended.

This is the first time I got a call from them, and I think it may not be the last.

These people will not stop. Filing a complain will do nothing since they are registered as a telephone surveyor and exempt from do not call, just like the charities. I have asked them to remove my name and they say they will but don't. I have tried to speak to a supervisor and they tell me one will call me back but never does. So now when they call if I have the time I ask them to hold on and leave them hanging for as long as I can. These people even sent me a $1 in the mail to speak to them. Amazing how far these people will go.

They have been driving me crazy too for months on end, and I'm on the "Do Not Call" list too. Filed a complaint tonight with them tonight, but from what I've read that won't help if they're saying they're a research company.

941 379 1954 - harrassing phone calls insisting they have a survey for only the person who had the most recent birthday. .. i even offered to take it after saying it's my daughter who was recent but she's busy..they insisted they couldn't survey me.  i've had about 8 calls in the past couple of months.

Late last evening, 11/10/08,this agency called and talked with my wife who was ill at the time.  The caller took advantage of her by pressured questions.  The caller never said anyhting about the information being collected.  I stopped the call after a few minutes once I heard my wife giving out personal information.  I called the company but only received an answering machine. There is something going on behaid all this and it may be someone gathering information in order to steal your indentity.

I'm sick of them calling!!

You can get survey companies to stop calling you if you tell them that you work for a survey company. Also, whatever phone sales people are selling, tell them you already have it and they'll hang up before you do and never call you again.

I just got a call, and was asked questions about which radio stations I listen to, which television stations I watch from the list read out,how many television sets are at home,any HDTV?, which News papers I read (mostly New York & New Jersey) from the list read out, and how many house hold members,what web sites I visited (from  the list) ,personal income bracket & household income (preferred not to answer), work place details (preferred not to answer),education level, job title, any non-degree technical education,age,ethnicity,religion.
Wanted address and email to send market survey booklet with a check for participating.

I am also on the do not call list.

SOMEONE PLEASE MAKE THEM STOP.

Scarborough Research, 941-379-1954 has called me 4 times in a week. It is about a radio listening survey.  I told them I was not interested each time and to quit calling.  They tell me I do not understand and start asking questions.  I hang up.  They call again.  Very pushy.

Here's how..I did the survey and said I did no radio listening and responded no to each paper (they read the list), I said no to the internet and to the cable and satellite TV questions. I answered their demographics questions (mostly correct) and gave my address. This took around 5-7 minutes. I said to the guy that the survey was not too long, he said because I said NO to most questions, it makes the survey shorter. That's the key! Do the survey and just say NO to all questions. And the best part is I got $10! This was around 2 mos ago and they have not called since. I sent back the mailed survey I received in the mail and got another one with $5. Just answer anything, it's easy money.

I am an employee of Scarborough and this company is legit. We are not selling anything and you must realize these are people just doing there jobs. The calls are randomly dialed automtically. We do not know who we are calling. Just take the 10 minutes to answer a few questions and most of the time they send you cash for participating. There's no sales involved. The people you help get incentives. And many people loose there jobs b/c there are a certain amt of people we must reach out to in a month. If you schedule and appoitment then they will call then and not bother you. But your LOCAL MEDIA relys on your information to stay broadcasting.

This company calls me at least 3 times a week.  I just filed a complaint with the Do Not Call Registry at https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx?panel=2.  If everyone filed a complaint with the Registry, maybe something would get done.

This number, 941-379-1954, keeps calling me too. very annoying. A few things I plan to try:
1. Answer and ask them very politely to stop calling
2. Answer and politely ask them to "Please hold on for a minute" then put the phone down and go about my business!
3. Answer every question in their survey with another question.
4. Report them.

I have learned that this survey company Scarborough Research is owned by Nielson, the ratings company.  It is a joint venture between both Neilson and Arbitron.  Their main website is http://www.scarboroughoperations.com/default.aspx.  If you go to their website "contact us" area at:

they say, "Media Study: if you wish to contact us about the Scarborough Study, please call 1-800-753-6043."  I called that number and the person who answered said they would be happy to take my phone number off the Scarborough call list.  
Everyone who is getting these unwanted calls might try that instead of leaving obscene messages and you may get the results you want.  I will let you know if it works for me and the calls to me stop.

these people are selling something so DNC should apply to them; they are harrassing consumers to collect information they sell to others, so there is lots of selling involved ... hoe else could it be worthwhile to call daily?

They call at nite and when I pick up the phone they hang up.  This is someone that has nothing better to do with their time.  I am on "Do not call list" but I guess this does not matter anymore.
