who called me

we have been getting calls on our cell phone from this number. Verizon even put a block on our phone and the calls are still coming through. We do not answer although these are all taken off as minutes. Last month 183 minutes worth.
Why can't someone fiqure this out

I got a call from this number, but I didn't have my cell phone with me and missed the call.

On March 18, 2010, at 9:45 and again at 9:46 p.m. I received a call from 999-999-9999.  I want to know who called and what their phone number is.

I just received a call from this number and they specifically asked for me, they identified themselves as The Texas State Troopers. I stupidly gave them a donation more than two years ago and have been hounded by them since, each time they call they use a different number, even though 99% of the calls have been made by the same man,

I know I'm replying to a message posted two years ago, but this sort of thing is still going around, in case anyone ever gets something like Amanda has described.

Ten-to-one this sounds like a "Shock Site" message. People are sent text messages or emails directing them to a website, and once the person goes to that website, a pornographic photo appears, with a very loud voice repeatedly saying "Hey everyone, I'm watching porn!" Sometimes it's hard to delete the site (page) as well. This is what's known as a "shock site".

I know, it's happened to me in the past, so I thought I'd post it here, in regards to this particular posting from 2008.

I got a call from 999-999-9999 Caller ID came up "Sun Loan Company"

i got a call from this number and they said is there a mr. or mrs. something or other and then i said no sorry i think you have the wrong number and he was like are you by chance a regestered voter and i said no and he hung up. he had a southern acsent.

Because they are paying for the charges, any call to a toll free number (8##) will result in them receiving the caller ID info -- it can't be blocked.  The idea is that if you are paying for the call, you have the right to know who is calling.

For those getting calls from 999-999-9999, its caller ID spoofing service that should be illegal as of 3 days ago. Check out the following articles for more info, but it is most likely an ad agency, collections agency, or a telemarketer.

I got a call from this number a couple of times. If I answer they just hang up, but if I do not answer I get a message from a Lady named "Mary" telling me that I need to get in touch with a Ron Kennedy about a file on his desk. Stating that he needs to go over a few details. The lady never mentions any details or names. Is it a Scam?? I havent returned their calls. I dont know how to make them stop calling.

I've been called by 999 999 9999 many times and no one answers, just breathing.

These people are relentless, Mary calls from Ron Kennedy's office twice a day, doesn't ask for anybody but tells you to call Ron Kennedy b/c he's only in the office until 7pm. This is out and out debt collection of the highest order.  They call from 800-265-1234 , 877,591,0433 and 999-999-9999.  When you call your put on hold and told to wait for the next representative, when the call is picked up, they ask what number your called from.  The sad part is, they are asking for my X-husband whom I've been divorced from since 2003.   Obviously skip tracing!    The first women I talked to was very nasty and called me a b***h when I told her it was skip tracing and that I'd report her to the FTC.  When I called back and asked for a supervisor and told her name was Terra,  I told her I would report to the FTC, if the number was not removed from the system immediately.  Now we all know that Terra was probably a made up name, they all do it in debt collection.    We will see.

Got a message from "Mary from the office of Ron Kennedy". I don't know who this person is or the office they are supposedly calling from. Not to mention the fact that that phone number is something out of movie or tv show. It's just not a normal number ... freaky actually.

Well number showed up on my husbands phone, he said he did not make call last 20 minutes...anyone else have this show up on there phone...Verizon Customer.
