On November 20th I got a text from 999-999-9999. The text said "(my number):2$D20/11/17$T11:34a$UO$GO$VO". I can tell it is telling me the date and time it was sent, but the time stamp is wrong. I receved the text at 9:34am. I don't under stand the last part though.

i live in Canada. Received text message from 999-999-9999/email address karenwilson360@yahoo.com saying  my number was selected through random computerized selection machine (TOPAZ) data base of mobile phone numbers drawn. Saying I won 1 000 000.00 pounds sterling...with a reference number and a email address of powerballlottery@yandex.com..SCAM..blocked it and I gonna make sure my number isn't compromised with one of those scams that charge on  phone numbers

I often get these messages. I am a koodo user in Canada, which is a subsidiary branch of telus. It is a scam number, so just ignore them. What I do is I block this number, and it works.

The caller id showed up on my Tel-Lynx box as "SPAM? Name Unav".  The box kept the phone from ever ringing, as a robo caller can't answer the prompt that the Tel-Lynx box challenged it with.

Short of e-mailing the manufacturer of the box, I don't know if Tel-Lynx came up with that caller id or if the tools
that called using all 999s were just trying to be funny.
