This number is calling me between 3 and 10 times a day.  I never answer.  How can I block this number?

i read in this article at work that those numbers are automated and call your house several times a day to see what time u answer your phone most throughout the day. It just keeps calling and no one is there because it just recorded wut time u answered so a real telemarketing company can use this info to kno when the best time is to call your house.

Just had one of these today. I picked it up and gave my number and there was silence, then after a moment a posh (English) voice said "...goodbye". Bit of a waste of their time and mine.

what's FCC doing about this number 000-000-0000. it's very annoying. gonbei.

I got a call the other day, and I didn't answer because I have talking caller ID, and I always wait until it tells me who's calling, I knew the number was not valid and was being blocked so I did not answer. Very frustrating....

I've just started getting calls from this odd number.  No-one replies and then a recorded message says 'goodbye'.  Hope its not costing me money when I pick it up - and i have to pick up because I'm a nurse on-call for a hospital! How annoying!!

Some authaurity should do something about this. I am getting these calls regularly and never when I am at home. 10 in the last 5 days.

I have started to get these too - BT are not interested...  even though I have anonymouse call baring service.   They call at night and hang up....   1471 saying that I've been called by this number and they repeat all the 00000s!!!  This indicates, apparently that it is not an international call....

If you get the chance to answer the phone and they actually speak, try to sound interested, ask them to give you more information about the product they are promoting, even throw in a few lies if they ask any questions.  If they are commission based they will lap this up.  Try to keep them talking for as long as possible before telling them to get fu??ed.  They don't like that.

Or, just as they start talking, inform them that you are recording this phone call as a matter of course for the police and that an automatic trace is put on all your incoming calls.

Both of these have some marvellous results.

had a call from this no perporting to be from windows and that I had a problem with my PC. Absolute scam. please hang up.

i have had this number call me 2 day and i got no reply from hello so put the phone down i have had it with these sort of numbers keep ringing me

Just had a call on my work phone (how??!!) from these people and when I said it was a work number and I don't wish to receive these calls she told me that I was now in big trouble and would be getting millions of calls on my mobile and work number.  She then told me to get lost!!

My phone calls are all recorded so if I can get a number to call them back on I am going to go mad!  Does anyone know who to report this kind of thing to??

this number has called me several times in the last 3 weeks. Indian type accents telling me my computer has told them that it has been infected by malicious software. I was told to go to my PC and switch it on. I told them to get lost.

Had two phone calls from this number i did not answer the first time, but the second time it was some call centre say i have a virus on my computer he was wanting me to log on my computer so that they could fix it.There is nothing wrong with my pc he said his company was acting on behalf of microsoft and if i didnot get it sorted my operating system would stop working. Didnot trust him he was very rude
and he was hard to understand.

Even the Phone Companies dont give a [***] about these Bogus Numbers.
When it rings answer it and dont say a word...

This guy with some sort of indian accent or something calls me asking for the person who had my cell phone number before me. (I get calls for her all the time!) I tell him that I don't know her and that I am not her. He starts asking me questions about where I work and stuff and I get annoyed and hang up. He calls back immediately. I answer the call and tell him to quit calling me and hang up. He calls again within seconds. I have my husband answer the phone and he tells him to stop calling. He calls back again, I don't answer. He calls again and I answer and he says why did u hang up on me? I tell him because I am not the person he is looking for. He then tells me they're taking a survey on "American people" for a census. So he starts asking questions about if I am married and how old myself and my husband are... anyway, he starts questioning why the age difference and I get annoyed and hang up. He calls around 20 times in a row consistantly. Finally he leaves a message and says "I want to f*^% you Beckah. Do you want the big D^%#. WHO ARE THESE PPL AND WHY DO THEY INSIST ON HARRASSING US?
