i have been recieving numerous amount of calls from this indian man asking for a mrs jackson everytime i tell him no one of that name lives here he gets nasty and starts asking for my name, when i hang up on gim he rings again 5 minutes later so i have been leaving my phone off the hook so he cant call out and he gets charged for, his phone bill must be really high by now and i leave the phone off the hook for hours

Informed me of a government gtrant. Man had an american accent!

Number that was displayed was just 00, nothing else.

Answered, was silent.

How can you report something like this? I cant see how you can....

A new trick to avoid getting reported perhaps?

Like most Brits, we are TPS & XD, so I can only assume it's a random autodialler at work.

I received Call From 000000000000 . call coming from Venus  Alliance .

Just had a call from here, lady asked "is this <house number, street name>" and I said yes, very uncertainly. She started talking about the government grant for loft and cavity wall insulation. I tried to get rid of her politely and eventually hung up when she persisted.

When they ring .... ask them if they realise they've called a public phone box in a pub and you just happened to be standing next to it when it rang . Surprisingly the calls stop.

Why dont  some one do something about these people ( SCUM )

just called the operator and was told it was an international number ?????????????????????

Phone rang at 11.55am on 09/12/10.

I answered but nobody was at the other other end.

Did 1471 and couldn't believe it whent the voice gave me the number as "oh, oh, oh, oh" et.c)!

Ridiculous!

recieved a call today from 000000000000, they held the phone then hung up. Has anyone found out who they are as yet, as your comments go back to 2009. please advise who to contact next.

Arrogant voice asked was I the home owner ? Lied and hung up.

Our maud had one of these calls not ten minutes ago.  No-one spoke when she answered but she could hear office sounds going on in the background.  I've asked her to speak to them next time they call and get them to ring after 6.  I don't want her having all the fun of abusing these people.

1) "Oh yes please, do tell me about your product" - set the phone on the chair and ignore
2) "Yes I would love to know how to get out of debt.  I owe approximately 40k, can you help?" - set the phone on the chair and ignore
3) "This is the voice of the mysterons.  We know that you can hear us, earth men" - causes confusion, set the phone on the chair and ignore.
4) "Brilliant!  But before you start, can you tell me if your phone does this?" Click hang up.

Ah the fun to be had.
