2nd call from these people. Calling from "Global Server regarding my computer." I asked twice for the company name, to get the reponse "We are not a company", so when I asked "So you do this in your spare time then?" the caller hung up. These people are scammers, do not give any information.

Phone rang but as we have caller ID I ignored it as I didn't recognise the number to see if they would leave a message or not. When they didn't leave a message I rang it back straight away as it said 'International' & I was curious but the number wasn't recognised. After reading the comments on here, I have blocked the phone number so fingers crossed no more phone calls!

I received a call from this number 20 minutes ago.  There was actually a real person on the other end!  They said that they'd received multiple error messages from my phone number & asked me if I was the main user, at which point I hung up.

This bunch of scammers just phoned me and tried to tell me that my computer had sent them an error message.

This is obviously a scam to try to get the recipient to divulge information and/or connect to a remote server. The next step would be all your personal data on your computer in the hands of the scammers. NO NOT LET THEM GET AWAY WITH IT!!!

Do as I did and simply let them know they are trying to scam you and hang up. Or if you fancy a bit of fun, string them along as long as possible, ask them to repeat instructions, tell them your computer keeps crashing etc etc. See how long they will actually stay on the line before giving up. My record is about 3/4 hour. Whilst they are tied up with you, they wont be trying to scam somebody else and they will be spending their money on the phone call.

I get very annoyed at these gangsters trying to get control of my computer.  Yes if you string  them along they are too tied up to get at some other poor soul.  However, they probably use Skype or some such to call so it won't so it probably won't  them anything to call you.  Mine was a silent call but if a human actually calls they will get short shrift from me!

Just had a call from an Asian man calling from the Technical dept. of Global Services enquiring if I had a laptop or computer as they were getting loads of error messages from it.  At that point I put the phone down.

I received several calls from this number. A male who sounded from the Philippines stated that he believed I had a problem with my windows application and he would fix it. Being very dubious about this call I asked him if this would cost me and he stated that it would, only if it was a serious fault. No doubt if I had proceeded it would be diagnosed as serious. At this point I informed him I was not interested and put the phone down.

Had a call from this number caller said they were representing Microsoft and if I was siting before my computer they could fix the attack on my hard drive. Told him not interested. Speaking to my friend he said they would try and get me to let them have auto control of my computer. Hang up if they say they are from Microsoft.

Some Asian fellow cracking on that they know about "Windows" error messages appearing on my PC!
They've been doing this one for quite some time and I believe they are flogging "warranties" or somesuch unwanted garbage.
I kept one going for ages a while back by pretending to be sitting at my machine and following their instructions (without success!)
Good for a laugh if nothing else.

Just got a call from this number, Asian man asking for me by name.  Sounded like a nuisance call so I said I would go and get her and asked who I should say was calling and what about.  He said about a windows computer, so I mentioned I didn't think she had one... he hung up straight away.

Caller claimed to be from Life Technical Services wanting to investigate the problems that had been reported on my Windows computer. He gave an address and a phone number (not the one on my caller display), just to make the call sound a bit more authentic. I had intended to string him along a little while but didn't have the patience so I just told him that this couldn't be true as I use Linux. The caller immediately rang off. A nasty but not uncommon attempt at accessing my computer I'd say.

I came home and saw that I had missed a call.  I dialed the number provided to access the message and was informed that I had missed a call that left no message from 001234567890.  Looks from this site like this nonsense has been going on for a long time.  I will do my best to try to find a solution.  If I have any success, I will report the method here to aid anyone else.  As they say here in france,  Bon courage.
