got a call from  this number telling me my computer was sending them error messages. I decided to have some fun and pretended to be very worried  and knowing nothing about computers. What ? My computer is sending you messages without my permission?? Asking them how my computer would know where to send messages and if they could tell what kind of computer I had. They told me they were located in east London and  a lot more b******s. I just couldn't stop laughing, they asked me if I could still hear them.I said yes, I think this is all soo funny as I don't even have a computer. They hung up straight away…..:)

Had a call from an Indian sounding bloke asking if i was sitting in front of my computer as there's a fault on it.Was going to play along but knowing id never get that time back went into a tirade of " yes and i suppose your going to ask me to log on to AMMYY then keep me on the phone until you've scammed what you want" I was in full swing telling him what a waste of space he and others that try this on...he hung up.Felt pleased with myself after that.Wish someone would invent a taser that worked down the phone!

Ive just received a call from this no telling me he was from the "technical department of the world wide web"! And  that I had 52 applications on my computer that needed to be closed down! When I said I didn't have the computer to hand he said he could remotely close them down If I gave him some details!! I said I wasn't technically minded and would he ring back in an hour to talk to my husband! I have no doubt he won't!!!  Seriously?? Tech dept of WWW??? Is he in a little room with a plaque on the door? I think not.

Indian gentleman telling me he was from the world wide web.  He could tell my computer had a virus on it and wanted to help.
Asked him how he can sleep at night by scamming people. Told me he had not asked for money but that usually comes near the end of the call.
Informed him I was going to report him to the police and hung up.

Caller tried to persuade me there were error messages being received from my computer and they would identify the problems free of charge - asked who they were and where they got my number from and they hung up. Do these people think we are idiots - tell them NOTHING!

The phone bleeped only three times. No number appeared on the screen. I dialled 1471. A metallic female voice read out the numbers, followed by "Please hang up!".
