I too have been pestered with about six calls from this number since 08.01.10( although I have not answered & let the machine take the call)no messages have been left. I took the advice of someone on this site to phone ( freephone) 0800 083 2432,follow the instructions to have your number removed from their data,says to allow 30 days,but touch wood I have not been called since 30.01 now..............will wait & see.
We shouldn't have to do this,but if it works it is worth not being constantly pi**ed of by these calls!!

Got a call from this number today, some bloke at the other end asked to speak to the bill payer, he was really rude and said " I WANT PAYMENT NOW" also said "IT WOULD BE SORTED OUT ON THIS PHONE CALL". Told me he was phoning on behalf of SKY and I would have to take out "PROTECTION COVER" on my SKY box. When i told him that if there was a problem wih my sky box, i would contact SKY directly and request an engineer to attend my address to rectify the fault. failing that I would demand that the SKY box be removed from my address and I would go with another service provider. After all if i want a service i will ask for it. I dont expect to be STALKED every day of my life by these numpty's. Told the bloke to stop calling or i would file a harrasment file against him.

I posted on here on 3rd Feb,phoned the number as stated in the post & up to now I have had no more calls.Suggest it is worth the free call to stop the nuisance.

i had a phone call from them today, stating it was to offer insurance on my sky equipment, the thing is they used my maiden name - my sky is in my married name, so they obviously haven't got my number from them! it all sounds a bit dodgy to me so I just said not interested and hung up!

this number is a scam insurance company that pretends to be from sky. the reason why they ring sometimes and not answer is a test to make sure they have a live line and what time of day you are at home. This is usually a computer checking all numbers in sequence then recording time and your number. best thing to do in first instance is say you don't have sky!!

Have had lots of calls from these people but they put the phone down when my ansaphone kicks in.
Am getting very tired of it as I am often bed ridden and get woken up. It happens all time of day especially around 1pm and 6pm.

008001218143 is an ALbanian based cold call company. Unfortunately UK privacy phone settings, such as you get from BT, only apply to UK generated calls. Try telephone preference services at tpsonline.org.uk.

I would suggest finding their web service and taking it down with a denial of service attack via multiple hits or emails. Revenge is a dish best served cold....

I Have just phoned D&G on 08444 810 500 and asked them to remove me from their data base bloke i spoke to was really nice and said he has done and also put a note on the file so they won't contact me again lets just hope that works

had a phone call today saying they was from sky phoned sky they gave me a number to ring they was` nt really bothered  t he guy wanted my sort code en account number  luckly i ant thick  he said hed phoned me back but has`nt

they are domestic and general services, trying to sell coverage for your sky equipment. domestic and general are a real company as they cover my video camera that i bought from jessops however their number if you want to contact them is 08444 810 204 because i rang them to ask about my camera and then asked if they had called me today from a 0800 number today and they said no all their numbers are 08444 so i have no idea who is calling from 0800 but don't give them your details

i got the call for this num they trying to do scam they said iam from sky our calls is recorded trying to edit calls

got a call today from 008001218143 and i told the guy to f***** off never to call me again as it is a scam guss what he said," i got all ur details apart from ur bank details soon or later i will find a way to [***] you up f*****en stup...d." so guys don't be fool unless u phoned to a company, dot give ur card details for anyone whose phonin u who ever they represent

Just started having these calls and when I do manage to answer the phone here is my answer.

"sorry I no longer have Sky, I have now transferred my viewing habits to Earth, they are more enviroment friendly and help reduce my carbon footprint"

Got a call today at 2pm, the guy was quite nice & friendly, wasn't abusive, however i made it clear i wasn't interested he politely offered to send out a description of what they are offering, i then bid farewell and the conversation ended.

a while back i got suckered in by another "sky equipment cover" firm, i forget their name but they were recently shut down and investigated by police. I had a Detective from Twickenham police called to tell me my name and debit card number was on the files found in this fraudulent company's office. which has now been destroyed. basically my point is i never give any info to anyone over the phone not after i was scammed the last time.

Dude dont threaten these guys, it might be true that they have most of your details. and they could be a real nasty piece of work. just hang up best thing or do as someone said eariler and say wait a min gotta get a pen and just leave them hanging while you play xbox or make a tea etc

Yeah, it's from sky, wanted to know if i wanted cover for sky....asked them to call me in 10 months, they called after 2 days!!! didn't pick up!!!!

They called me, asked for me by name and when I said 'speaking' they hung up.  I did a 1471 and wrote down the number but didn't call it as I suspected a scam.  Funnily enough, it looks like it is!  We need our telephone service providers to block these con artists!
