01122 41410      How can callers like this plus other numbers from abroad afford to cold call?

Did not reply because strange number - last time (in June) it was silent.  

Jim, Many (or most of them) are not using the standard phone sytems. A lot are using the Internet (VoIP) and "spoofing" their connection to make it appear as if it is from a UK landline number.

Instead of saying no,...........say yes!
If everybody books an appointment with them every time,and is out when they turn up ,it will waste a lot of their time and money.They won't know who really is worth visiting and maybe would have to stop.
So......SAY YES EVERY TIME...BOOK AN APPOINTMENT.....GO OUT AT THE ARRANGED TIME.
Even re book if they want....and go out again!

The only thing I can add to what has already been said concerning this number is that it is obviously an automatic/robotic dialling system in use, simply ringing landline numbers maybe in sequence.
The reason I say this is that today, Wednesday 07 January 2015, this number has called me four times in a period of 6 hours, and each time it has been blocked by my call blocker phone. A "human" at the other end of the phone would have given up. The phone did not ring so I wasn't disturbed at all and the only evidence of their intrusion is on the list of blocked calls showing on my handset.
As it is nearly bedtime I will now wipe today's failed calls from the log then wonder what tomorrow might bring?
At least I am certain it will no longer bring me annoying, and sometimes distressing, unsolicited and totally unwanted phone calls.

Didn't get to the phone on time, but this was the number. Glad I didn't get to the phone on time, now.

Received a call from 01122 41410 at 10-58,today answered and it went dead

Silent when answered.

Called 10 jan 2015, 1522pm - recorded message telling me I was eligable to have free solar panels installed which would result in me having free income for 20 years.... yeah right.

just ignored and left handset open

Rang once then stopped, nothing there, I can't imagine it was anything other than the usual call centre scammers who aren't selling anything that I get a dozen calls a day from.

Just got a call from this number; a 'David'  - Scottish accent - thanking me for requesting 'more information' on some 'energy saving scheme'. Told him I'd only done so to flush his company out from behind the nuisance call-centre using recorded messages but he hung up before I could get more.

I had a call from 0112241410 yesterday 11th January at around 6pm, having had this number call before and they ignored my request to be removed I asked for more information.
A Scotsman called today at 14:24 after listening to the idiot go on for 25 minutes I asked his opinion on nuisance calls. Then told him I'm on tps and asked for his company address, he swore a lot asking why I wasted his time. Lollage

Fed up of these marketing calls when I'm Ex-Directory, registered with TPS and have a TruCall device installed.

So fed up that I'm reporting the number to the ICO because they are clearly obtaining my number from old telephone directories.  Bloody muppets!

Here's the link to complain to the ICO ... literally takes a few seconds and with enough complaints, hopefully ICO will stop the calls.
