- Ben ZylAll silent calls ending in 'the other person has cleared' for the last week. May be something to do with my vigorous response a few weeks ago involving whistles, air-horns, zombie laughter and that well known phrase or saying ending in off so presumably it's the Indians again but they just aren't trying very hard at the moment it seems.

- DottieCalled an hour ago asking if they could speak to homeowner. I replied, no you can't and get off my phone. Now will report the number to Information Commissioners Office. Suggest everyone does the same.
- Tam replies to JimApologies for the delay in answering your question. A few months ago the subject of nuisance calls was discussed in the House of Commons. According to Hansard the majority of calls are through systems at minimal cost. Odd fractions of a penny. The record showed that each successful sale made by such scammers would pay for around 50,000 more calls. From memory, they enjoyed the discussion but had not a clue what to do about the problem. With canvassers supposedly out and about hunting for our votes, why not ask them what they will do?

As for the Information Commissioner, it would be nice if they paid some attention (any attention) to the problems customers have with they way they have allowed UK phone systems to become. Last time I tried to talk to them, they did not even know what a Market 1 Exchange was. If it did not have the word "fibre" in it then it did not feature on their radar. Hopefully their new boss might have a clue. - douglasCall no 5 - they only said 'bye'
