All silent calls ending in 'the other person has cleared' for the last week. May be something to do with my vigorous response a few weeks ago involving whistles, air-horns, zombie laughter and that well known phrase or saying ending in off so presumably it's the Indians again but they just aren't trying very hard at the moment it seems.

This number [0112241410] is ringing 2/3 times a day..no message left ..Take it must be some sale group..

Called at ~6:30pm 20/01/2015. A man asking to speak to the 'home owner'.

Keeps ringing 7pm UK!

Called an hour ago asking if they could speak to homeowner. I replied, no you can't and get off my phone. Now will report the number to Information Commissioners Office. Suggest everyone does the same.

Apologies for the delay in answering your question.     A few months ago the subject of nuisance calls was discussed in the House of Commons.       According to Hansard the majority of calls are through systems at minimal cost.  Odd fractions of a penny.     The record showed that each successful sale made by such scammers would pay for around 50,000 more calls.     From memory, they enjoyed the discussion but had not a clue what to do about  the problem.      With canvassers supposedly out and about hunting for our votes, why not ask them what they will do?

Not sure that is correct!         All they did was make a nuisance call.       They will not have any personal data unless you give it to them, surely.

You have my complete sympathy.      Took me 18 months and a change from that supplier to reduce the unwanted unknown calls.

It would also be one character short.      But, hey who reads previous posts, as the information on an invalid number was posted back at the start of this thread.

As for the Information Commissioner, it would be nice if they paid some attention  (any attention)  to the problems customers have with they way they have allowed UK phone systems to become.        Last time I tried to talk to them, they did not even know what a Market 1 Exchange was.   If it did not have the word "fibre" in it then it did not feature on their radar.       Hopefully their new boss might have a clue.

Fed up with these calls - we are ex-directory and in the TPS - they phone again and again regardless of telling them no thanks.  Ready to get rid of land line and just use pay as you go.

Got a call from this number, but luckily out BT8500 had screened them out. Only found the call when checking back through the 9 spam/international/unavailable calls we've had since Sunday :(

Received a call from this number to landline at 18:40 (were registered with TPS). Answered but no one on line and line went dead.

Missed it this evening - probably silent

They left us a message. It's a company who sell double glazing ("replacement windows"), etc.
