- Malcom U.Apollo claims to be in the book of " Who's who of the business elite". This is probably true
When you run a search on the "Who's who" publishers, it is not the prestigious "who's who" but a company ( according to many forums ) that puts you in the book, then hopes you will buy the book for £55.
They have also published books that celebrate significant business person achievement and childrens poetry.
Some would see Apollos accolade as as true, but using vanity type publishing which has no real validity outside of ego of the recipients own mind. This " accolade" is worthless except in its title.

- 00000I had 3 emails in two days all stating that their senior consultant wanted to meet with me ASAP to discuss my next career move!!
I thought it strange when all 3 emails had 3 different locations from their supposedly senior consultant. One from Leeds, Nottingham and Birmingham!
I emailed back no response! I then had a tex, which I rang and arranged a meeting with Richard Wozniak!!! At Regus East Midlands airport....
He told me that himself and 40 others in the building and negotiated free gym membership across the road when he saw that I enjoyed the gym on my cv. This bloke is at least 25 stone and has been no where near a gym in years!!!
He also told me lots of his staff downstairs are all Kaizen black belts after seeing this on my cv!!!
He also told me he goes to Denmark every 3 weeks to meet with his new VIP client who are opening a 1 billion pound plant in Loughborough and could possibly get me in their as the start up MD! I cannot see anything about this potential new investment!!
I could go on and on, but I have now researched everything he told me and its all a complete pack of lies!!
What a complete an utter waste of my time! I may go to the next meeting just to punch his lights out!
Not once was a fee mentioned in my meeting.......- Caller: apollo
- Alex smith replies to Abigail GreenleyHi 'Abigail' or whatever your real name and gender is,
what a load of old codswallop just be thankful that I discovered your scam before attending your offices at my expense. The consequences for you would have been prolific had I realised later. Hoping you are maimed in a serious accident or are diagnosed with a terminal illness in the near future.
Best regards
Alex Smith - MarkI thought I had a good sense for this sort of thing, but the way in which this company presented themselves led me to believe I was heading for a interview about a job opportunity. That impression began to evapourate as waited in their offices, which did not feel like those of a recruitment agency and more like a local telesales or small financial services company. Then in the first few seconds of my 'interview' with their consultant I realised what was happening. The discussion we had was presented back to me like the results of some kind of personality test. Naturally, he suggested that I could do better and that they could help me improve my career prospects through their intervention. By then I had decided to be polite, but to get out as soon as possible. Quite slick, but on the ragged edge of respectability and looking down into the abyss.

- Abigail Greenley| 3 repliesDear All
I've mentioned several times in this thread of comments when I've commented in the past that if anyone has any questions they can contact me to ask about them - my contact number is 0113 2052851. I'm the Operations Director and have worked here for 16 years. Our company is ISO accredited and we provide a very high level of service to our clients. Apollo is a career management company not a recruiter and if the people on this thread understood this, had met us and were our clients I would be happy to see any comments they made. Most people on this thread, however, have had an email from us but have not then unsubscribed, instead they've posted negative comments. We're not a recruiter, we're a career management company and if you'd like to find out more and make an educated decision about the service we provide please contact me.
Regards
Abigail Greenley

This implies you are a recruitment agency. Who the **** knows what a career management company is and why do you think they would know this is any different to the other recruitment agencies? You have a scroll of supposed jobs on your site but nothing to let anyone view details.
At no stage during my conversations with someone pretending to be Alex Smith (female) was it mentioned that this was anything to do with coaching/mentoring or career management.
The fact that you have problems with your diary management fitting so many appointments in is laughable. I assume this is because you couldn't hire an office space for the requested day.
I'll stick to reputable agencies who actually have real contacts built up with employers. - Malcolm U. replies to Abigail GreenleyHello Abigail
I believe there might be a mistake with your ISO accreditation. I went onto the accreditation web site and put in every name which a previous post discloses as your plethora of company names. At no point did the web site http://www.isoregister.info show that you had current ISO accreditation. Maybe you or other users of this site could check it for themselves just to make sure.
There is a site for further checks and complaints http://www.iso.org/iso/home/standards/certification/complaints.htm
Maybe you could post your ISO details for all to see and that would clear the matter up, as I am sure it must be a simple error compounded by your many company names within the group.
I would suggest that if you don't disclose supporting evidence that you actually have ISO accreditation, some credibility for your seemingly reasonable statement will be lost.
If there is an ISO accreditation it does not mean you are delivering best value, like an MOT does not guarantee that a car is truly road worthy. It does not make the comments on here any less valid and it does not negate the feelings of many that perhaps they are being asked for money at a vulnerable time in their lives.
As for the hidden job market, most bona fide recruiters I have spoken to, tend to snort with derision at the way this has been positioned by your organisation, and given your lack of profile on LinkedIn, I would suggest your hidden job market is occupying a time zone circa 2005 when from company financial reports you were in a much healthier place financially and transparency on the web was not considered as important as it is today. Put your staff on LinkedIn, so we can all see how many, how qualified, where they have been before and how long they stay with you. An ISO accredited company shouldn't worry about people really seeing who they are. Let us know the qualifications of the people you employ as an ISO standard does not guarantee whether they are great or mediocre.
I look forward to you posting details of your ISO accreditation on this site, which I am sure you will do as it must be something you are proud of, however having searched for quite a while, I just cannot find the supporting evidence. It would be better to post it on this site than expect everyone to call you, as given the lack of response from " Alex" you must be snowed under with work, or quite chaotic.
I would urge anyone to talk to family, friends, recruiters who come highly recommended, careers advisers, anyone you know in HR, for a balanced view of any services on offer of this nature before committing yourself to spend any money at a time in your life when you are out of work and like many people desperate to return to the workforce. The old and tired cliche " if it looks and sounds to good to be true, it probably is" is a statement you may wish to consider.
Though I am sure there maybe people who have great experiences using a service of this nature, strangely they do not seem to comment on this site. The harder I look the more unconvinced I become, I am open minded if you come up with supporting evidence that passes scrutiny.
All the best if you are looking for a job everyone.
Malcolm - 00The business was also reported to the Advertising standards authority for send unsolicited emails and implying that emails sent out already had a relationship with the recipient in dec 2013. The complaint was upheld and they advised PCS/ Apollo to ensure that any future marketing communications they sent complied with the CAP Code, and that they held explicit consent if required. Not sure if this is the case with many emails that are being sent out.

- Michael Michaelson| 17 repliesI was stupid enough to be seduced by Apollo, at a very vulnerable and low point in my life.
I was emailed by them in January of this year after they said they had found my CV on another website.
I attended two interviews with their Chris Gough, who was actually a descent man. He promised that he personally would put me in front of companies he knew for NED and Advisory work.
I paid £3900 by Credit Card, as I was desperate to find some rewarding positions.
Sadly I should have read the small print, that apparently made it clear that the contract was totally Non Refundable, but I was totally misrepresented.
I was passed on to another gentlemen Malcolm Horn, who made it clear that I would have to find my own positions and that that was not the job of Apollo to find posisitions, only prepare people for the market, which is NOT what was sold to me.
I was mortified at a time financially I am seriously struggling and really unable to fund this.
I am intending to take legal action against Apollo for Neglegent and Fraudulant Misrepresentation.
I was foolish to get involved with a company who are apparently no more than a glorified recruitment agency where the person seeking work pays the fees.
I urge anyone considering to use Apollo, think very carefully what you require from them and don't 'Get into bed' with them without doing significant due dillegence.
If anyone wants to discuss this further please call me on 07973 149336. - Aigail Greenley, Operations Director replies to Michael Michaelson| 15 repliesI have replied professionally to this post in the past, however, am infuriated by the last comment from Michael Michaelson and feel that I have to give the true picture. Mr Michaelson signed up to a career management programme which we delivered in good faith in line with the proposal outlining the programme and the contract which he signed. Part way through the programme he phoned our consultant, crying and saying that he was having personal and financial issues and therefore wanted his money back. It was nothing to do with the programme. He then emailed him to say "Dear Chris
Thank you for listening to me moaning and crying yesterday.
These are incredibly difficult times for me.
I am fighting my Ex wife who I divorced 15 years ago, and struggling financially for the first time in my life. I am looking at a legal bill of £30000 to get the case finished off, or repressing myself which is a no go!!!!!!!! The bill WILL wipe me out!!
I just can't afford the £3800 coming out if my bank account in one go. I am expecting a small payment in to my account that has been due for the past 4 months, but is now delayed again.
I am 55 and have never found things as hard. I need work desperately, but can't afford to use you or invest in any new project.
I am in a classic Catch 22 situation.
Suggestions please?"
Mr Michaelson is clearly having issues but bought our programme which we delivered to him. There is therefore no need for this post online and I'm sorry that I've had to also stoop so low in responding with the facts.

- Apollo might want to seek Legal Advice replies to Aigail Greenley, Operations DirectorCan I just say that this post is absolutely disgusting. It's completely immoral. How dare you share a customers personal situation in an open forum. Yes, I can understand that you're trying to defend your company. However, you could have done it in a professional manner. Michael has signed a contract with you. Therefore he is one of your clients. Surely there must be some form of respect for clients at Apollo Group. Or are all your clients only good before you get their money, and after that you don't care. Well, clearly you don't.
He had an issue with the company professionally, and you have attacked him personally. How you made it to Operations Director is beyond me. You're a pathetic human being. You have also clearly shown how professional UK Apollo Group is.
Mr Michaelson, I'm sorry for the way that you have been treated by this company. You deserve better, particularly when you're going through such a difficult time. May I suggest that you speak with someone reference this company sharing your personal information online. I'm not sure where you would stand legally. However, it could be useful to stop other people from going through a similar experience.
If the Operations Director behaves in this way, then I think she has shown the type of ethics this company has. Stay away! - the truth will set you free replies to Aigail Greenley, Operations DirectorAbigail you are a sick and twisted person I do hope you know you have broken the data protection act , this post is absolutely a disgrace not only to yourself but your company this post has not only tarnished you but your employees and future how you are in a senior position within the company is beyond me I hope you get what's coming to you

Rather than tell us about your emotional state and spread a poor guys personal life over the web, how about the details of your ISO Accreditation? There are no records that I can find relating to Apollo.
We would all like to see the records, surely you cannot be too infuriated to answer, as you always message appearing to be quite calm and helpful. Now that you are being asked for proof of ISO accreditation you have remained silent on that topic but some poor chaps life is a subject for your upset. This is all very odd.
ISO details please, you mentioned it, it must be easy to provide, or maybe ask Keith Taylor for the information, he is the director of Apollo and around half a dozen wound up companies. - Alex ThrelfallI've had a eMail from Taylor CV's who appear to be owned by UK Apollo Group Ltd. - Malcom. replies to Malcolm.| 5 repliesThese are the companies in the Apollo Group according to Companies House. If you take these and put them into http://isoregister.info you will find that they do not appear to come up with ISO accreditation. I could be making continual mistakes when keying in, so please research this for yourself. Or maybe someone from Apollo can put us all straight, before someone goes to the ASA.
There could be accreditation at any of the other companies outside the group, however you then cannot claim accreditation.

You may want to check on the site
http://www.isoregister.info/ I have keyed in your company name UK Apollo Group 5 times now and it comes up with
" No matches found for " UK Apollo Group" in " United Kingdom". This is the official ISO register website. The area I am keying in states " Search our ISO register by selecting desired country and entering company name you wish to search for below".
There is the possibility that the accreditation has lapsed or never been registered. Could I politely ask for anyone that is doubting what the expiration date is on your accreditation? You may also wish to contact ISO yourself and address this matter. Given the time and effort it takes to get,and more importantly maintain accreditation, it really is worth making sure ISO have you on their web site, or people may just think it is lapsed, which would mean it would be no longer effective as a quality standard or be used on your web site. It looks like yours was from 2008 and would go through a standard 3 year certification cycle, so 2011 & 2014 if you renewed. It really is worth checking as there is a £100 a day fine for misusing or misclaiming accreditation. It must be some simple error somewhere.
