I am one of life's cynics, had concerns and needed to do some digging after googleing the company,I couldn't find anything. One concern was the @apollo.eu.com email adressses. I googled Martyn Pearce and found this site. Glad I have and it helps alieviate my worries as I now know its not all it's meant to be - I won't be persuing this any further, so thank you all for the valuable contributions- Caller: Apollo
- Tim - Cambridge replies to PNTSThis is a really useful site. I've just responded to an invitation to meet Jim Banks. Having just read others' comments I will now cancel that appointment. Thanks everyone
- Dave KempNuts, wish I’d seen this earlier. Been seeing a lot of 'proper' agencies lately. Unfortunately didn’t do my homework. Hard sell fee demanding wanker’s pffftttt.
Met some guy, looked like a fat Nigel Farage with a tan. Chris Gough!- Caller: Apollo BS Inc

- MichaelGot bombared with mails and calls from them. Met up with the Regional Director Paul Braybrooke. He is just trying to sell you an expensive contract. He is not a career coach and seem to neither really work for PCS - guess working on a commission to get you sign a contract. They claim they can assist in helping find a job and being a big company. The truth is that they only have Regus offices rented by the hour. Just look at their LinkedIn profile and you realise that they need a training first to write a professional profile properly before they can help others.

- DbleaI recently made the mistake of applying for a role through CV Library and have received an increase in spam since I had to register to apply for a job (which had actually expired when I clicked through).
My experience with this number it the same as previous, SMS message received says:
"I'd like to speak to you about your CV. Please call me today on 0113 2052879, thank you, Rebecca Ripley, www.apollo.eu.com"
I'm doubt there are any guarantee's of success with this "service". When you're talking about sums circa £3k, IMHO you may be better off hiring a Life Coach (with a fixed address) and gambling the rest of the money :)- Caller: Apollo
- Juliet replies to JailBreakI used to work there for a few weeks in 2012 and they are still using my name still to contact people. I am really not happy about this as I have a unique name and I didn't exactly leave under good terms (I was basically let go for forwarding complaints on to the managers).
- AdviceAll I can say is that they are sales people they will not help you get a job other than to give you advice that you can find online. Save your time and money and ignore the emails/ texts/ phone calls.
- AsianT replies to Henry| 1 replyThanks for highlighting this, narrowly avoided falling for this one under Apollo in Leeds, no mention in the calls ive had regarding search fees etc
- Charlie replies to AsianTThanks guys. Met them in their Leeds office and had exactly the same experience. 30 minute interview to tell me that I couldnt sell myself and that they could help me secure a position within 4 months. Asked me to fill in a self assessment form to see if they could help and would call me back for a further interview for 90 mins. All seemed a bit odd so I decided to search the net to see if my suspicious mind was right. It all seemed too much like a timeshare sale. Dont think I will be going back after reading this post. Close call.
- Jack| 1 replyI suggest creating a false identity, posting a cv and waiting for them to contact. Then book one of their appointments, go along with a cup of black coffee and clumsily knock it over their "consultant" while also ripping the s**t out of them. Dry cleaning bill, loss of damage deposit with Regus and some free sport. Lovely!

- RichD replies to JackI did take some time to visit, the Regus 'rent by the hour office' gave me some idea that all may not be as it seemed. Had a nice chat with the bloke- yeah- 'Life Coach' .. whatever... so as I always follow my gut feeling- decided to turn the tables and become extremely interested in what they had to say- then started asking about how their clients pay the fees and they can't charge me- meeting closed !
He promised to mail me some stuff, and I am now chasing him by mail.. just to entertain myself really- as I had already been offered a new job the morning I went to them- but was intrigued anyway.
So yes... have a go back- these parasites need to have the tables turned... utter conning 'wakners'- there are people less fortunate than me losing money here..
Be careful out there! - dman| 8 repliesI find it hard to believe that there are negative comments on here about Apollo, with my age i was finding the job market tough and also with the salary i was on and looking for scared potential employers away, i met with Apollo in there London office and found them very helpful from the 1st call right down to there support staff, with there help i managed to secure my next role within 2 months

- George replies to dmanSo you decided to go on a site which is to find unknown numbers and see what they are about to see if this wonderful company was listed? But you know the number and think the company os wonderful, so why would you do that?
- Jack Francis replies to dman| 6 repliesI too have been subject to hassle from these time wasters. A simple way of assessing anyone purporting to operate in a Sales and Marketing field is the competence and level of their communication:
"I find it hard to believe that there are negative comments on here about Apollo, with my age i was finding the job market tough and also with the salary i was on and looking for scared potential employers away, i met with Apollo in there London office and found them very helpful from the 1st call right down to there support staff, with there help i managed to secure my next role within 2 months"
I would expect better prose from my eleven year old son.
JF - LadyCWell I've found this totally helpful and my suspicions have been confirmed.
Like others who've posted, I recently applied for an interim role and had to register via the CV Library and since then have had a number of bogus emails that have gone into my Junk folder.
I then had an email via the Leeds branch of Apollo from an A Smith, the layout of the email was identical to that listed in previous posts. As I'm looking to grow my contact base I agreed to meet at their Manchester office, but since then I've trawled LinkedIn and recruitment forums and no contact names appear. All raised my suspicions and a trawl of Google eventually brought me here.
I will now cancel my meeting since it clearly will not result in anything other than a sales pitch at my expense.
Thank you all for saving me a wasted trip- Caller: Apollo

- Abigail Greenley - Operations Director replies to LadyC| 4 repliesAs per my previous post:
I'm the Operations Director at this company and am concerned that these messages are giving a negative impression of our company. Only today an individual contacted me to say that she was concerned to read these comments. To clear things up, we are a career management company that has been working successfully to support senior level clients since 1997. We are not a recruiter, career management is a different service and we offer 2 free, no obligation meetings to anyone who wishes to consider our services or to just get some free career support. Should you have any questions don't hesitate to contact me a.greenley@ukapollogroup.com
Thank you
