I'm getting these calls about 3 times each and every day. i am so gratefull to all who have commented. my son is in afghanistan just now and i jump each time the phone rings. i have no debt and not even a card. but when i get my hands on  them.......

I now just do not answer ANY call unless I know 100% who is at the other end of the phone. It's quite easy, you get used to ignoring them; y'know just like tv advertising!

Yeah, phone keeps ringing from this number.

For personal reasons, I screen all my calls using an answerphone. It always picks up, but nobody ever speaks.

I too, am signed up to Telephone Preference Service; but it's only a voluntary scheme unfortunately. No powers of enforcement!

With a looming ECONOMIC RECESSION, these scum should be stopped by government from wasting valuable resources and from preying on our most vulnerable individuals.

Im sure i recieved i call off this number couples months ago and it was from apple care centre bout some software for my mac book pro, i recieved a call today but missed it so wasnt sure

I have had loads of silent calls from this number, but can verify that it is GEMoney.
I have just read this interesting article about Barclaycard and silent calls, they got fined £50K for silent calling, after an investigation by Ofcom! Perhaps we should all complain to them?? GEMoney might stop if they got a similar fine.

I also get these calls...veryy annoying when I ahve elderly parents who live a long way away and an elder daughter who is trouble!

this is weird, i just got a call from this number, when i answered it hang up on me, .. me expecting a job call, googled the number and wha do u know... the number is a terrorist, been terrorizing people for god knows how long

I don't know who they are but I have had 6 calls in 24 hours from the 01133440001 number and also 08451262663 both of which ring for about 3 rings then hang up which isn't long enough for my answer phone to kick in and even when it does they never leave a message.

I NEVER answer calls unless I know exactly who it is calling (hence why I never answer 'private number' calls either) so have never answerred the phone as I assume that it is a sales call which I don't want and would certainly never call back a number who didn't have the decency to at the very least leave a message - why should I spend my money trying to contact someone who isn't that bothered about speaking to me?

called me 3 times today. i rang back and spoke to someone who said it was GE money on behalf of dorothy perkins. they asked for sarah hancock. im not her so i told them to remove me from their list. they said they needed my full address to do that. i gave them first line and they said they will try remove. hmm sounded dodgy

I can assure readers that this number is owned by GE Money, They provide store cards for the arcadia group of companies (Top Shop, Burton, New Look) and stores which operate out of Debenhams.

GE Money are a highly reputable banking firm

I used to work in card protection insurance and fully understand who this company are.

I have missed one payment on my Top Shop account, ( a very small amount and I being called continuously everday, all day on both my home and mobile numbers )
I would like to explain why i beleive i am being called.....

The reason I have missed this one paymnet .... the first EVER, is because I have just spent the last 3 weeks in hospital after urgent major surgery and my husband who would normally deal with paperwork on my behalf in the past, is himself seriously ill with a life threatening condition.
WE therefore have to had live in care for the both of us.
I simply did not remember to tell my daughter to get this account paid, I had all the others listed ( it was a rush to get things sorted casue my sitution was urgent ) in fact I used my top shop card 2 months ago to order something for my other daughter for chritmas and as i disint need a direct debit I was going to just pay in two amounts. I did the first payment but I forgot to put the statement out to be paid before I went into hosptial.

The reason I am writing all of this is because my phone rings at 7.30am and has just rang again, at exactly 8.08pm. During this period I have had THAT many calls on the 01133440001 number and also a 0845 number that others here have mentioned., that I am just getting fed up with these calls.

So I failed to make the one payment on time, Im not going to ask for any special treatment, but for goodness sake, I feel like I am being punished and yet I didnt choose to go into hosptial and undergo an urgent operation - what has this country come to when it uses harrassment and that is exactly what this or is, constant phone calls every day, no messages, no polite call or message enquiring if there is a problem or even a polite letter saying I am 2 weeks over due and have missed 1 payment and if there is any problem to call them... no its "get them harrassed until they snap" !
What makes me so mad is that ?? I just wonder how much it costs to use phone harrassment ? I mean this is someone who is in a cll centre or its computer generated but it must be costing to keep calling my two phones all day long !  and the bill was about £15 !!!
I feel like a criminal but with so much worry and trauma i have been facing with my hubby on just spent weeks on life support and not knowing whether he is going to make the next day or not and having to have gone through a very unpleasant spell in hosptial, this is the last thing i need. Do they care ? NOT !

I will pay the bill tomorrow but i wont do anything about complaining.... Last year I did all that and I got a few "pass the buck" letters.
Until last year we had a busy company which closed due to my husband's illness. We had customers who defaulted, some were having genuine problmes and others just knocked us but we did things in a proper manner. Helped those we could, even writing of invoices for some who just found thensleves in awful sitautions and or those who didnt care, well they were blacklisted, perhaps we took a few to court but that sometimes cost so much its not worth the hassle.
So in the end I draw on my personal faith that what goes round, comes round.I have to believe in that.

Sorry about this long post - Hope no one minds my bit of a rant !! I feel pretty good actually !! maybe this is a good way to get things out of the system.

Anyway for all those who like me have "failed" and been "marked" and are being harrassed, take heart that we are all suffering together, you are not alone ! its a cold and heartless country we live in at the moment, (Im generalising of course ! there are many wonderful things to be thankful and proud of as well) but keep faith that one day things will change and perhaps we shall return to the good old days of politeness, manners, empathy and understanding.

rang me today, thought it was someone important. seems is a scam company, dbt collection or something.   wrong number as far as I am concerned.   what worries me is how they got my number?   Ive never given it out to anyone....

did not answer but checked authenticity online

keeps calling around the same time of day, over and over

receive regular calls from this number 0113 344 0001 but never anyone on the other end of the line

Don't think it is a debt collection agency as I have received my first call at 8am this morning and I haven't missed a single payment in 25 years. My daughter and I both answered the call at the same time and they just hung up.
They could have least waited until I'd had my first cup of tea.

no reply when answered
