Just received a call from this number, asking to do a survey.  Told him he shouldn't be calling as registered with TPS - he hung up before I could get any more details.

I work for a company that calls on behalf of National Moneysavers  01142180488, the calls are generated through an automatic dialing system so we have no control over who we call.
If a call diverts to answermachine we assume that a message is left, we personally don't hear any message.
If the call is immediately hung up on then it is put back in the system to be re-called, we are not to know if it is a fault with the line or not if no-one answers.
If the customer says they're not interested then the call is registered as such.
If the customer says they're on TPS or asks not to be called again then the call is registered for no more calls.
To be honest we assume that whatever option we choose then that option is actioned.

As far as I'm aware we all work from home on a self employed basis and we don't have the facility to transfer calls to a manager, we do have a complaints number to give out but it's the same number that dials you.

I can only speak for myself when I say that I am always polite and apologetic if we have dialed a wrong number or have called at an inconvenient time, try to understand though that people have far different ideas of what is inconvenient.

We are simply people who are doing a job to earn a small living and keeping us off the dole or benefits, it's a thankless job at the best of times and we too are under constant pressure to take more calls or do more surveys or get more YES answers.

A simple polite thank you but I'm not interested should be enough to ensure you're not called by US again, obviously your details will have been sold to many different companies which we have no control over.

Yes it can be very annoying, I'm a consumer too and get just as many unsolicited calls but seldom from the same company once I've asked to be removed from their call data.

Please give us a break and try to be polite, it costs nothing and makes our day.

Really, one of your collegues called my number looking for the old lady who lived here 4 years ago before she passed away, how you managed to pin my ex directory number on a dead woman is anybodys guess

Thank you for being so understanding ! I have just started working for this company this week as I cant find work any where else ! If your not interested in anything in the survery no one will contact you ! Like I said I only do this so I am not scrounging off the government , I make sure I am always polite  and alot of people do do the survey and save money on things !

I always say "My husband deals with these matters and either he's too drunk to come to the phone or he's just about to be released from prison on a GBH charge."

Had a call from National Moneysavers claiming to be carrying out a survey on behalf of a number of large UK companies. When asked which companies they represented all they could come up with was EON.............. followed by a long silence then a click......
If you can keep your cool for a while when these people call, just ask them questions about who they are and where they live, how do they get to work, who they represent, what town or city are they calling from, then what area or district their office is based in. Do they prefer Eastenders or Coronation Street? What are they doing for Xmas? Ask them what the weather's like where they are and what time it is. It gets them in a confused flap and some of the answers can be quite entertaining.... Try it.

Told wasn't interested - they hung up without any niceties - definitely something fishy about this company !

Received a call from this number earlier this evening. Hung up as soon as I answered. I have caller display, so I've saved them as PEST. They won't get me again, they can talk to the answerphone. These people are such apain !!

I had a call from this number When I piced the phone they put the phone down This hapned many times

got a similar call just now and they asked for my mum so I said she wasnt here and the woman mumbled something and put the phone down

A female caller from this number phoned me to ask to speak to my husband. She said he knew about the baby and demanded that he picks up the phone next time she called.she sounded hysterical and I thought it was a crank call.
She told me her name was Isha and spoke with a high pitched tone and sounded as if she was putting on an accent.(not very good one)
If this person is working for a company, she is breaking the rules of her contract.
I would like this matter investigated and the person dealt with.

a call from the above, what for no one on the line.

A girl called up saying that she was the boyfriend of my married sister, she hung up when i said she sounded like a girl. Anyways the call was from sheffield. Don't know anyone from there.

A girl called saying to my wife that i had a child with her and paid her 20k and 30k she could not cope and wanted us to have the baby

I had a call to my home number this morning, I was working in the home office on the business line, I ran to the home phone, it went dead! Hmm!

I have now found out who these people are, I sent a polite email asking them to remove me and my numbers from their database.  This is the email address from their website.

That should be the end of it.
