I get calls from this number all the time

My phone shows missing calls from 01142180488 today 19th May 2010. Was not answered but phone rang at 09.54, 15.52, 16.49  and 18.34 .

Called 9 times in 6 hours asking for someone who doesn't live at this address and never has. Advised them every time that they had the wrong number. They were trying to get personal information from me, name, address etc. I requested they remove the number and refused to give them any information. When I asked who they were they refused to say due to a "strict data protection policy" that they could only break once they had my details. When I pointed out they were trying to get my information even though I had no relationship with the company and didn't know them, I was told it's company policy so they can update their records.

I reminded them every time they called I had requested they remove the details, and the person they were calling for still hasn't ever lived in my house. They refused to answer any questions that can identify them, and hung up when I told them I was recording the call for legal purposes, so at least that seems to get rid of them.

they havent stopped calling and are trying to get as much info as possible. they say they are something Investments.
Going to report the number to Ofcom as i have about 10 calls in 2 days

Had a call from them just now but I missed the call. Thank goodness I did after what everyone has been  saying. I hope this isn't the start of them calling all the time :(

Got two calls from this number, both at very inconvenient times. Once they did not leave message. At 8.30am today left a message which was long but sounded like someone left a mobile on while working on the engine of the waverley paddlesteamer. Because of time of call worried it was friend as most people are too busy at that time but its not a working time. There it goes again ! Same number.

Got a call from this number this morning, they asked if i was Mrs... I said yes and the phone cut off? Anyone know who this is?

Got 2 missed calls from 01142180488 I rang back and was told to record a message so I rang off, can I block this number ?

Just had a call from this number, didn't answer it (thankfully), no message left by them so no idea who they are!

Just had another call from this company, hubbie answered it.  Caller said they were from Allied Carpets and were working with another company to "save customers money".

Glad i was out when they phoned

SOME WOMAN CALLED AND ASKED FOR MY HUSBAND. I ASKED WHO IT WAS AND THEY SAID A COURTESY CALL FROM ALLIED CARPETS SO THEN I HUNG UP. BERY STRANGE THOUGH

they called just now and said the exact same thing but knew the name of the householder. A lady called twice asked for my husband and then said shell call leter courtesy of allied carpets. what?!!

They are calling me every hour but im not picking up

this number has called me 6 times today and each time the line has just gone dead when we answered it. I have signed up not to receive telemarketing calls so I shouldn't be getting called anyway

Called today at 1040am and answered and they muttered some same and i paused for a second, then the phone went dead. This number has been calling several times a day for the last 5 or 6 days but this is the first time i have picked up.

This number keeps calling my home - but no one responds when phone is lifted.

Yeah, keeps calling ours aswell. said they were doing a survey on behalf of Allied Carpets. We are on telephone preferece service. We did purchase a carpet from them a few years ago but the shop is gone now as they went bust!!

These idiots are driving me mad!  Numerous calls yesterday.  Answered and chap said he was from Moneysavers.  Started asking me questions about my home.  When I asked what exactly this was for he said he could save me money on my utility bills.  I ended the call.  Today, they have now rung again 5 times.  I'm registered with TPS.  Reported them to OFCOM.
