man called from national money saver. he also said his company was part of another company whose name was similiar, bu i cant remember the name.
i dont know what he was selling cos he didnt get time to tell me. i asked where he gor my name and number from, he rang on my private line and he said they hve a large data base.

Unacceptable call - we are ex directory and never give our details out.

Called was vague claimed to represent Universal Moneysavers in Nottingham. Reluctant to give me any more details.

This number's been calling me all day.  I've been allowing the answerphone to kick in, whoever they are they don't leave a message but they keep calling back.

Looking at the comments above I'm glad I haven't bothered answering.

This number calls, but won't leave message on answerphone. I called back with 141 on front to block my number. It goes straight to their answerphone and asks you to leave a message. These are debt collectors!!!! If you answer their call them tell them they have the wrong number and to take your Telephone number off their list or you will report them. Tell them they can always write to the person they want to contact. BUT DO NOT GIVE out your address. NEVER, NEVER, EVER GIVE OUT ANY INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE!!!

When they ring and ask for me I say `just hold on while I get him for you` put the phone down but off the hook then go away for about 30mins leaving them holding on........works every time!!!!!!!!!!

Had a call from these people today - he said he was from moneyextra.com. Didn't give him a chance to say what he wanted! I looked at their site and they have a very strict confidential info policy. Have emailed a complaint and will see what they say. Have a feeling the call is not from them!

they keep ringing me . i think the no is from the sheffield area but sick of it ringing must be some scam.

This number call me today - very posh sounding woman. Said they wanted to conduct a survey. I was suspicious as I am ex-directory and have blocked my number on IPS. I am also very carefull about how I control my personal information. I do not know how they have my number. I expect they have a illegitimate list of numbers and are confirming names against numbers to sell on. I unfortunately confirmed my name to them. Stupid! Never confirm anything to a cold caller.

I got call from this no 2day, never got 2 phone in time 2 answer it, glad now after reading these comments. Hope its not the start of them phoning all the time :-S

Same as Angela above. Al though the house I'm living in gets loads of letters to previous occupants, and the number hasn't changed. so probably for one of them...annoying though.

My mother 83 has been bugged by this number many times today. She is old and vunerable does anyone know who they really are?

Got a call asking for my wife when I told him it was her husband and asked him how it was he said it was a bad line and that he would ring back and he hung up, did 1471 but just got a recorded number.

I have been called by this phone number but when I attempt to call back there is no answer.

These people are phishing for any details you are willing to give them. Just the act of answering your phone to them gives them enough to sell your number on to third parties as live numbers. After they have you marked as "live" you can expect a lot more cold-calling from other more legitimate companies.

Number came up on missed calls list, having read the other messages I'm glad I was not in.
Will ignore any future attempts.

Recieved a call from this number today and a woman with a birmingham accent left a message on my answermachine - "see these people bossing me around telling me to leave messages after tones, see, its not happenin!"

I am outraged that someone has the nerve to ring up and leave indignant messages on my phone, especially when it was them that rang me in the first place!!

I am x-directory and on telephone preference service!!
