Report a phone call from 01142180488 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- Keith@49Didn't answer it thankfully. I'm sure they've rung me before a few times over the last year or so.
Who are they I wonder. - Who Cares?A recorded message to an XD and TPS registered line at 1414hr today from National Money Savers Survey.
The message apologised for not having a human to talk to me and gave me some options that I missed.
It will be reported to the ICO like all the other nuisance calls that reveal a number from 1471.- Caller: National Money Saver Survey
- dtbAnswer phone short pause then they hang up p***ing me off.
- sjcThe organisation that regulate market researchers dont recognise this as genuine market research and its more selling by the back door. Whats the betting you do a "survey" and a day or so later you start getting sales calls. This is the regulators speaking and not me. I have complained to the tps and they will approach this company. I have been told to firnly ask them to remove me from their list which I have done on several occasions and this company still persist in bothering me. Maybe it will take notice of the TPS and then maybe not!

- Rob Jackson replies to james| 1 replyI had a call yesterday from National Money savers….. They said they were doing a survey and I could win £250 in vouchers. I stupidly agreed under the condition none of my details were past to anyone the guy on the phone confirm that absolutely nothing would be past on.
The next day I get a call from a company trying to sell stuff, apparently they had got my number from Nation Money Savers 24!!!.
I've already had to change my number because I have been plagued by these people and now they have gone and done it again I am furious.
How can we stop these con artists from selling our details against our will, they need to be closed down immediately!!!!! - Singlemum75 replies to Rob JacksonContact NMS, there's a number on the website. Tell them that you hadn't said yes to anything to result in a callback, they will investigate it and the caller will be blocked.
- JohnThe same company called me. When I rang back I got a fax machine.
I thought it was illegal to make unsolicited calls.
They should be '' hunted'' down by the authorities and stopped from doing this. - sjcAsking politely but firmly for them to stop calling you obviously doesnt work. I asked james who rang me today to cancel my number off his list and I know full well he wont. Im on the brink of changing my phone number now.Yes I obvioulsy made a mistake letting my number out on a very rare occasion but im now well and truly paying the price!
- Caller: NMS
- MCaller display just displayed this number which I managed to Google in time to see it was a scam number so didn't bother to answer it. They hung up before the machine kicked in.
- averyI came home today to find that this number has rang me again Im ex directory and on the preference line so should not receive unsolicited calls,Bt said they call help further but it will be another monthly charge? so I declined apparently these nuisance callers can appear to be phoning from U.K. but are internationally based and cannot be stopped!!
- Caller: no reply
- Times are hard| 4 repliesI have today read your posts Singlemum75 I take it you read mine. In your own words you say that not all calls are answered and are dialled automactically. How do you know that your company does not use a number generater!
If I take your advice and tell them not to call, then you or whoever is calling needs to be at the end of the phone! Like I have already said in my previous post, when the line is still open nobody is there and if I am busy and the call goes onto answerphone it messes my phone up because the line is still open to you.
I know you need a job but you are not in control of who you ring. Maybe you should find time to do some more research and work for a company who generates less calls so you can answer all. Then we can tell you to take us of your list!! I appreciate voluntary work will not pay the bills and you need a job but you are harrassing everyone, young ,old, sick and home workers. Oh, now thats reminded me (flash back to my past frustrations) and very busymothers who are trying to bath, feed and change nappies.
I am only taking the time to post this with the view that you will get the message to your company but I fear they will not listen. Our comments will fall on deaf ears and you will take the flack from all the 'customers' they have wound up before you actually answer a small preportion of the calls they have rung many, many times previously and nobody was on the end of the line.
Now I will try and run my business from home, as I too need to pay my bills. I hope you can find a better job but I know its not an easy task in the present climate. - Singlemum75 replies to Times are hard| 3 repliesWe are not number generators as we have the name of the person we are ringing and at the end of the survey we read out their address.
The company is dealing with wrongfully dispositioning of calls, the reason I know this is because when I first started if people slammed the phone down it would go down as a callback. Compliance rules changed and one of my colleagues still wasn't dispositioning the calls correctly, in 2 hours he got over 40 calls down for call backs when they should have been do not call/not interested. He was blocked from working.
So although it does still happen agents will learn the hard way.
I wish you could hear the conversations I have with some people, as they can be pleasant and funny.
We are not scamming anyone, no selling is involved by us, if the person I speak to wants a company to contact them, I make sure that that's what they want.
There are times we call TPS numbers but the last week I've been giving the name we have, to decipher why we're ringing. Sometimes the person has taken on someone else's number, sometimes and more often than not is that someone somewhere has given out a wrong number on purpose.
I have friends that do this. - JennyCall this morning from National Money Savers. Young man claimed to be doing a survey. I said I was registered with TPS. He said he wasn't selling anything. I said TPS covers other cold calling apart form sales calls. He rang off.
- Caller: National Money Savers
- Call type: Survey
- JamesWhy do these people think they're different from sales calls. All cold calls are something everybody should be very very strict about disclosing no personal information at all. DO NOT FEEL THE NEED TO BE POLITE TO THESE SCUMBAGS JUST HANG UP
- Who Cares?Illegal silent call to an XD and TPS registered number at 1650hr today
- barbara01142180488 rang 10-54 today who is this
- Caller: unknown
- johnI am sick of these phone calls how can you stop them
- your caller replies to Singlemum75| 2 repliesSinglemum you are beating your head against a brick wall, no amount of explanation will ever convince some on here that they are incorrect.
You can explain until you're blue in the face about how TPS works, or what Cold Calling actually is, or what Random Number Generators are, some folk will just not admit that they could possibly be wrong.
Almost every new post states they are on TPS and think this is the be all and end all of blocking unwanted calls, very few if any will take the time to research TPS and see that what you are explaining is in fact FACT.
It seems nobody will admit that somewhere down the line they have actually AGREED to accept THIRD PARTY CALLS, whether they have failed to opt out online or by other means.
I have previously explained that in order to complete a NMS survey the person called actually has to AGREE to OPT IN otherwise the survey cannot continue, I have explained that although NMS have a DO NOT CALL option that this is only valid for NMS and NOT the host of other companies that may have their details all to no avail.
I too get calls that I'm not too happy about especially PPI at the moment but I do politely request that my details are removed from their systems, eventually they do stop but it does take a long time.
I guarantee that the next few posts on here will mention TPS.
All the same bravo for trying to educate people, I fear you are wasting your time (as I did). - Singlemum75 replies to your caller| 1 replyHi. I know I'm wasting my time on here but thought it was a shot.
And again to those who say we prey on vulnerable/unemployed/elderly people. After 3 hours work I've completed 21 surveys. Not one of them was any of the stated categories. Strange that. - Sharon startI keep getting calls from this number and I want it to stop. I am registered with the preferred call service, but they still call
- Caller: Don't know
