I made the mistake of giving my home number as a contact to virgin media only last week and hey presto I'm getting nuisance calls rom this and other numbers. As soon as I'd uttered the last digit to the indians I knew it was a mistake. I have an ex-directory number which is really only there for emergencies and it sat quietly without ringing for almost 3 years before my mistake. The moral of the story is keep a disposable pay as you go sim card in an old phone and hand that number out to companies.

I had a car service today and this number just called me. Like all marketing calls, just ignoring it.

I had a call from this number yesterday - when I answered the phone, a recorded message said "You have a call waiting - press any button to connect"  It sounded a bit suspicious so I hung up but I was wondering who it was (as I know a few people in Reading).  I have just Googled the number and was pleased to find this (and other sites).  I had to call out British Gas Homecare on Monday so am wondering whether it was a follow up call from them (but this doesn't seem a very good way of going about it).  I hear so much about scams that I'm always wary about answering the phone unless my caller display shows that it is from somebody I know.

I had this call and it was lookers reminding me that my car was due for a service.

some one called me on this number at 0603am as it is my day off i am a bit cheesed off can you give me the drectors number so i can phone him/her when i go to work at 0530am thanks Alan

It was Thames Water requested a customer feedback survey.

I've had 2 calls this evening from this number and number is not recognised when you call back

It's an automated messaging service used by what looks like a number of companies, in my case by my local Chemist to remind me of my repeat script. My message ask for a key to be pressed but if you don't delivers the message anyway on the answerphone.

Apparantly it was Thames Water looking for feedback on a recent change I made to my account with them - was an automated message left on my voicemail.  I dont mind an email to a registered account but calling is a bit much

This number called me twice in the space of 10 minutes on my mobile just before 7pm.  It was for Lookers giving a courtesy call saying my MOT is due on my car.  Funny as I had my car MOT'd last week with them and only gave them my new mobile number then so they wouldnt have had this new number on their system.

Chris Cardell is a total bell end. He once sent me a spoof newspaper cutting through the post bigging himself up.

This number called today at 17:30. No message left. I therefore consider it to be a nuisance call.

Interesting reading other comments on this site. I don't have children, or a car, or any recent interaction involving my telephone number with Thames Water.

got a call from this number saying my brother was missing from school, rang the school n he was there. but for a moment i was worried sick, what kind of company thinks its ethically acceptable to use this methods to get money out of people? its ridiculous n should be stopped!

got a call from this number today and left an automated message - turned out to be British Gas... they had called yesterday to repair a fridge...
